Uhm... I really don't want a Zelda movie cause I know they're gonna mess it all up and offend us the fans! But if they will Nintendo should let the people from the Lord of the Rings do it and get their story writers working on it good. Eiji Aunoma and Shigeru Miyamoto should be there in the production 100% supervising the whole thing. It should be a long movie or broken up into more parts because in order to fit all the stuff we really like about Zelda they're really gonna need the time.
@Ernireg3 Koji Kondo and John Williams should make the musical score for the whole movie. The casting has be good! I would like fresh young unknown actors who are good and not corny. The flow of the acting should be well balanced. Serious and comedic settings and situations should be used at just about the right time. As someone said before this movie has to include those key elements that makes Zelda so great! Nintendo would work out a new story that throws in a little of everything in there...

If anything, they could model off the storyline, but that leaves them with a huge grey area that they need to fill in. They wouldn't have dungeons or puzzles, so that's almost the entire game.

Ok, just throwing this out there... If nintendo was going to make a movie, or give some producer the right to do so, they wouldn't make it off of one of their past games. We already know what's going to happen. They're going to come up with some new story and throw in all the key elements that make the Legend of Zelda what it is today. Ocarina of Time would have to be split into two: One as kid Link trying to get the Spiritual Stones, and the second of adult Link getting the Medallions.
Twilight Princess would hold an amazingly wonderful storyline as well, but may also have to be split into two: One of Link trying to get the Fused Shadows, the second of him trying to get the Mirror Shards.
Nintendo should make it a CGI movie.. or like FF VII: Advent Children... SquareEnix took their extremely good cut-scenes, and made a movie in the same style of animation... Nintendo should do that too... with Zelda Twilight Princess... :)

Ocarina of Time would have to be split into two: One as kid Link trying to get the Spiritual Stones, and the second of adult Link getting the Medallions.
Twilight Princess would hold an amazingly wonderful storyline as well, but may also have to be split into two: One of Link trying to get the Fused Shadows, the second of him trying to get the Mirror Shards.

Nintendo should make it a CGI movie.. or like FF VII: Advent Children... SquareEnix took their extremely good cut-scenes, and made a movie in the same style of animation... Nintendo should do that too... with Zelda Twilight Princess... :)

@pollo2cool just because it doesnt looks like him in the movie doesnt mean its fake.. every movie based on something always looks different its just stupid directors thinking its better that way. the only way you can tell its fake is that the trailer came out in 2008 now its 2011 so its obivous it aint coming out as movie.

@pollo2cool sorry man, but how does link is supposed to look in live action... I saw him and looked pretty convincing because first of all he is a hylian, and had pointy ears, and you must know that hylians don't have fairy. In the only game he had a fairy was in ocarina of time because the deku tree give it to him so it could help him in his journey on saving hyrule... i'm saying that if they are going to make a movie, why should they choose ocarina of time? I know is the best option but...

It got all the - well most of the important things anyway, like the Triforce, Ganondorf, The sages, the monsters from the game... All they needed was the beginning of the story were Link was little and then the little cute fairy Navi (:

@cecilie46 yeah, i know and im not saying that it wasn't ocarina of time (cause it was obvious that it was), but that the fact that he doesn't had a fairy and didn't look likelink make it fake... about the triforce, ganondorf, and the monster (i think you mean Gohma, the arachnid), they have appeared in games older than LoZ: OoT, like LoZ: A link to the Past... about the sages, i didn't see them in the trailer (im not saying they don't appear in the trailer, but i will corroborate that) :)

Hey i looked up if the movie was real or not and this guy says that if you look at the credits you see Rainfall Films listed and if you go onto their website the zelda movie is listed in their films under Projects so i think it is real

I remember when I was all amped for the Prince of Persia movie...
Let's just say it was terrible disappointment.
The only problem would be choosing actors for the parts. I also don't think they would be able to capture the true essence of the game.
I'm not lying, if they ever do make a movie for Legend of Zelda, I would be there opening night...

I think they should make a movie. Not exactly for the fans but to see the fan reaction. Before the zelda fanboys rage at me and say they shouldn't, it'd suck, I say this. Give it a chance. If nintendo does it right, Legend of Zelda as a movie could easily become one of the greatest video game adaption movies to exsist. IF GIVEN A FAIR CHANCE! So I ask all that if this movie does come about, give it a fair chance instead of condemning it immediatly.

before they even THINK about making it, they should take some ideas from the only movie out there that has actually come close (if any) to an actual zelda movie setting: Lord of the Rings. Seriously i mean the whole middle earth thing with the elves dwarfs and orcs was pretty amazing. I'm not saying they should copy it but more or less look at it as a concept or reference for a zelda movie. Thats just my opinion anyways.
