@ShadowAbomination This is mostly for single player with the median mod. You know, AFTER you've been drowned by the spammers online. You can play the mod online, but you have to kinda jump through hoops to do it. Very disappointed D3 has no single player for this reason.

@normannobrot The playback is sped up, it's either stated in the video or in the description. As for resolution on basic LoD, if you are referring to vanilla D2: LoD than yes. This means D2 with the expansion, without plugy or median. Can do any combination of these so long as it's with the expansion. Will not work without it.

I got MPQEditor and I'm trying to follow the first exorcise in "The Beginners Guide To Mod Making for Diablo II Lord of Destruction" which I got from the "phrozen keep" website. It's supposed to increase the key stack size from 12 to 50 but it doesn't want to work. :*(

MedianXL changes all the spells. That's actually one thing I wish wasn't changed in the mod. I loved the sorc blizzard spell, but hardly anything original is left with the mod. Every aspect of the mod though is worth the change in spells.

in the early lvls you don't have enough power/mana/blue stuff to work with so I keep it all the spells in right click. There really isn't that many spells anyway. Later on in 'nightmare' difficulty is when I start to use left click for spells.

anyone know a way to play online with high resolution?Single play is ok,but online my eyes hurt from that 800X600 res.I don't get it why the wide and other resolutions won't work in online play.Most people have upgraded their pc's.I mean how many people do you know who have such an old pc that it supports only 800X600

You have to remember that when this game came out back in 2000, 800x600 was the high quality of today. There may have been people running higher resolutions at the time but for games it was the norm. It may not seem like it but that resolution was for your old 15-17" CRT monitors.

That's pretty much just old tech trying to run on new stuff. It doesn't make sense I know but I believe the culprit is the engine in which the game was created on. Newer gfx cards technologies sometimes just don't use them at all anymore. Another classic example of this is trying to play Carmageddon 2 on vista +. The OS simply stopped supporting old technologies in favor of the newer ones (shader model #) etc. Even though I have a beast of a machine it still slows way down sometimes in D2.

that's resolution. it looks bad on big monitors because the game when it was new only supported 640x480 and 800x600. Was hot in the day for 17" CRT's but not with nice 24" LCD's
