Very good and very powerful. Atoli was my favorite female character because I related to her so much. I didn't have the type of parents she had, but the sorts of things I experienced during high school is the same as her. The feelings, the thoughts, all of that.
Through those hard times, especially at such a sensitive age, we grow and become stronger than those who do not have such hard times. That's what I think. =)

I really like Alkaide but I LOVE Atoli. I think a lot of people can relate to her and that makes her a very likeable character. I hate when people say they hate her because she's too bubbly or because she loves Haseo or what not. She's so underappreciated. I think she's a becon of hope for those of us like her with no one and no where to go.

I've always loved atoli When she got Attacked by AIDA at the end of Vol.1 I was pisssed when sakai tried to use he ragian i woke up my mom by yelling :Oh no you fucking don't!!" The makers of the game really did well with her She has the same life as many teenagers I've heard most of those from the kids at my school "I hope he kills himself"...Not proud of this but i tried to Afetr that i met pepole who cared about me though...

In a way i think its quite sad that so many people can relate to her but at the same time, thats what makes her such a powerful plot element. To those that have been there or seen others go through that, anyway. Atoli is a great representation of what school is really like for a lot of kids.
Its hard at school because i think kids will antagonise anyone they can to fit in. A lot of us have been through it and its never easy, when you grow up you're always thinking about what other people think of you but it gets a lot easier. I think with atoli you see how she began to stop caring about what people thought of her and concentrated more on who she was and the young woman she was growing in to. Dont listen to what people like that say to you, theyre just very insecure, coping badly.
It's just... well here at my place in Germany, school startet just a week ago. I was so happy because the holydays were great and now I'm back at school and the bashing is starting all over again...
I know its horrible but i guess its not really something that has a solution. You just have to keep talking about it, focus on your friends and family. It really does change once people start growing up and focusing more on themselves than trying to hurt other people but they have no right to ruin your school years. I know its easier said than done but the more they hurt you, the more you should just yawn, walk away and forget you even know them. :3 You'll be a lot stronger for it.

Hey, were some of the scenes used from the GU movie? You know, the ones with Atoli with that AIDA form, and Haseo in Beast form? I wonder who came up with those XD Those would have made fun additions to GU. I mean, Atoli going rouge and becoming a boss fight, and Haseo freaking out and turning into that beast. That would be rather fun to control.
omg...i almost cried, this was beautiful, i had to look away or i was going to start crying. this was one of the most beautiful Atoli tributes i've ever seen, it was amazing the tone was great. the text added a amazing layer or story telling, if i had seen this in a contest it would of gotten my vote. amazing, just amazing!

This video is amizing, and the text brings out the feelings in balance with the lirycs and the movie Audio, it's touching, sad and angsty in many ways. Atoli's not emo in a special way, she's a normal girl with a LOT of problems made by the cruel prejudiced society we live in

Assuming youd wanna ask the same things everyone else ever asks me, the song is pale blue dot by the receiving end of sirens, footage is from .Hack/G.U trilogy the OVA movie of the video games and all AMVs are made in adobe premiere pro. I got the movie from a bit torrent site but i really cant remember which one i'm afraid.
Actually, believe it or not, I use Adobe Premiere Elements Pro 4.0. Adobe After Effects, and Sony Vegas, yes, I know it was the Trilogy OVA Movie. I've already made an AMV for A-Kon using it, I knew the name of the song, cause unlike a lot of people, I do pay attention to video titles and vid descriptions. Just putting it out there. I was just wanting to be your fiend, and talk what's inspired us and what not. :)

she was so much more forward constantly grabbing haseos hand and touching him and she was like acting all wise and like she was supposed to be the voice of reason in the movie. which didnt fit her.
I understand what you mean but do remember theyre fitting 3 full games in to 80 minutes so they kinda had to increase her interest in Haseo considering that was a focus of the film, to actually make the plot work. In the first two games it was kinda hard to tell she even liked him at times and even harder to tell he liked her too. A lot of stuff was removed and teweaked, im still fuming over Matsu and Sakubo not making the cut, but its not really a canon film, Just something extra to enjoy.
Yea, i dunno why but atoli was one of my favorite characters in the story. Best part for me in the game was when you had to go in and save her when she was kidnapped. The avatar fight scene with her was the best...
i dont like atoli personally because i guess im just the kind of person that gets irritated by her because i feel sitting there feeling sorry for yourself is pointless but she is a good character and plays her part well.
actually im not suprised they touched on suicide. .hack wasnt meant to be happy. the ending of the thrid game was happyish but still bittersweet with the loss of ovan.

Haha, fair enough, i totally understand where you're coming from. To be honest, the way the game made almost every character fall head over heels with Haseo, even the guys, it was going to get to some fans no matter what they did. I did actually really like Alkaid myself.
I am starting to love this character, I looked up the information on her and the games. Atoli is a character that I think some and maybe most, can relate to. Being an outcast and having so many troubles to deal with.

She is such an outstanding character! Her role in the second G.U game and in the movie make you realise that shes really quite special in that she has something so many of us can understand. She gets a lot of crap from people who hated her english voice actor or despised her role as the main characters love interest but to me, but I think both were fantastic.
Wow. I've been saying that a lot on my comments, but really, wow. When the words "Why won't anyone look at me..." came up the tears fell freely at that point. Also when the words "I tried so hard!" came up, those always seem to be followed by "But nothing ever changed." Or at least something like that, it was something I said once. Hard times, but anways! I notice you have a thing for the outsiders, the ones who feel unloved or not wanted. Which is really awesome about you and kind of motivational. I just think theres characters like Atoli, Orihime and Sakura who have all these problems and try so hard to get through them/get past them and people just look down on them, then you have other characters that i wont name but really, they dont even have to /try/ and are universally loved. I will be doing more Bleach stuff, i'm just trying to pace myself, I did quite a few Bleach videos so I wanted to put out some videos with new shows/characters just to give myself a bit of a break. I've got a couple more in the works but after that I'll be doing an upbeat Grimmjow video and perhaps an all-round Bleach video depending on what the next new opening for the anime is like. :)
I was hoping it would effect at least one person in that way. Whilst i dont like the idea of making people cry XD, it really is very flattering when i do what i consider to be an emotional video and get that kind of reaction, i think this was a particularly emotional subject for an AMV.

A lot of us have been there, had I not gone through it myself I don't think I could have expressed it as well and I dont think it will have a big effect on anyone that hasn't gone through a stage like that in their life either. I'm a lot older and capable of understanding it a lot more, it all seems trivial now but at the time i think its a very difficult stage in a young persons life, when they're most vulnerable to the opinions of others.

Well if youve ever played an online game like FFXI or WoW you'll have an idea on its mechanics. its basically a simulation of an online game, simulated emails and characters with a rather engrossing story. The battles are quite fast and action packed and theres a ton of characters to use. I really recommend the three .Hack G.U games, theyre without a doubt my favourite console games ever.

Ah, well what you'reseeing there are their player characters. The story takes place in an online game, behind the blonde avatar in green clothes is a real highschool girl in our real world. Its set further in the future and games are like a really advanced form of virtual reality, they're completely connected to their characters. When she gets hit by a virus with artificial intelligence, it uses her memories to torment her to learn more about people.
So the taunts are from her real life parents and school peers, if it were from other players about her own player character i doubt she'd care really. XD

I haven't played the game for G.U., but I've watched most of Roots and I liked her, even thought you don't see much of her before she's attacked. But anywhoo, I liked the text, the video was great, and I think you did a great job. I liked the way you showed her and Haseo. All in all, 5/5!
Ah, i think youre thinking of Shino in Roots. She was Haseo's friend and wears a black dress (white in the anime) but has the same player character as Atoli. (unless im mistaken and Atoli appears in roots along with Shino, i never watched much of it) Whereas Shino is in the anime, Atoli features in the games and struggles with Haseo comparing her to Shino. Its so confusing that they look the same. XD I'm really glad you liked it, thank you. :D

I agree. The video flows very well and is relatively easy to understand even without playing the game, the text helps with this also so I believe it was definitely needed. From what I've seen this character seems nice, too. :) But who knows if I'll ever get around to playing this series, because I don't have a playstation...<.<

you know i just wanted to watch this and your right alot of people were not in her place but i know alot of people and im one of them people hated me i just tried to smile and deal with the pain before i knew it i put up a wall from me and the outside world so i know what kind of pane she would have been in i even thought of killing myself a few years ago but i was lucky enough to find friends to support me and got my life to a normal state still i am still guardingmyselfnomatterIwontgetnopain

When i made this video is was really intended for people who have gone through that, it may only be fiction but i think its that particular side of fiction that is the most realistic aspect of the story and shows that things CAN get better. :D

I understand. I've been through it too.I put up a huge wall between me and the real world. I just wantedit all to stop. I almost did kill myself but I got friends that didn't judge me and the thoughts stoped, and I became a very happy person that no one would have thought was about to kill themselfs.

im glad to hear that but saddly there are really mean people all over the world saying things they think dont matter which in fact hert worse then anything i know from experence but when ever i see someone just alot not talking i always try to talk to them no matter how scary they look unless i get a bad vibe from them (which i normaly get from idiots)

Assuming youd wanna ask the same things everyone else ever asks me, the song is pale blue dot by the receiving end of sirens, footage is from .Hack/G.U trilogy the OVA movie of the video games and all AMVs are made in adobe premiere pro. I got the movie from a bit torrent site but i really cant remember which one i'm afraid.

Actually, believe it or not, I use Adobe Premiere Elements Pro 4.0. Adobe After Effects, and Sony Vegas, yes, I know it was the Trilogy OVA Movie. I've already made an AMV for A-Kon using it, I knew the name of the song, cause unlike a lot of people, I do pay attention to video titles and vid descriptions. Just putting it out there. I was just wanting to be your fiend, and talk what's inspired us and what not. :)

oh yeah btw didnt anyone else feel that atoli wasnt acting quite like herself in the movie?
she was so much more forward constantly grabbing haseos hand and touching him and she was like acting all wise and like she was supposed to be the voice of reason in the movie. which didnt fit her.
did anyone else feel that way?

I understand what you mean but do remember theyre fitting 3 full games in to 80 minutes so they kinda had to increase her interest in Haseo considering that was a focus of the film, to actually make the plot work. In the first two games it was kinda hard to tell she even liked him at times and even harder to tell he liked her too. A lot of stuff was removed and teweaked, im still fuming over Matsu and Sakubo not making the cut, but its not really a canon film, Just something extra to enjoy.

Yea, i dunno why but atoli was one of my favorite characters in the story. Best part for me in the game was when you had to go in and save her when she was kidnapped. The avatar fight scene with her was the best...

i dont like atoli personally because i guess im just the kind of person that gets irritated by her because i feel sitting there feeling sorry for yourself is pointless but she is a good character and plays her part well.
actually im not suprised they touched on suicide. .hack wasnt meant to be happy. the ending of the thrid game was happyish but still bittersweet with the loss of ovan.
*glares back* XP and yes i think alkaid and haseo would work much better atoli and him would just fight so nyah

Haha, fair enough, i totally understand where you're coming from. To be honest, the way the game made almost every character fall head over heels with Haseo, even the guys, it was going to get to some fans no matter what they did. I did actually really like Alkaid myself.

I am starting to love this character, I looked up the information on her and the games. Atoli is a character that I think some and maybe most, can relate to. Being an outcast and having so many troubles to deal with.
Wonderful job, a very emotional piece from you as always. Defiantly a favorite. ^^

She is such an outstanding character! Her role in the second G.U game and in the movie make you realise that shes really quite special in that she has something so many of us can understand. She gets a lot of crap from people who hated her english voice actor or despised her role as the main characters love interest but to me, but I think both were fantastic.

Wow. I've been saying that a lot on my comments, but really, wow. When the words "Why won't anyone look at me..." came up the tears fell freely at that point. Also when the words "I tried so hard!" came up, those always seem to be followed by "But nothing ever changed." Or at least something like that, it was something I said once. Hard times, but anways! Enough sad stuff, even though this is a terribly sad video.

I notice you have a thing for the outsiders, the ones who feel unloved or not wanted. Which is really awesome about you and kind of motivational. I just think theres characters like Atoli, Orihime and Sakura who have all these problems and try so hard to get through them/get past them and people just look down on them, then you have other characters that i wont name but really, they dont even have to /try/ and are universally loved. I just think its good to have some videos on these under rated characters and I just love 'em. I forget theyre just fiction sometimes, i wanna grab them and say 'its gonna be okay!' XD

I will be doing more Bleach stuff, i'm just trying to pace myself, I did quite a few Bleach videos so I wanted to put out some videos with new shows/characters just to give myself a bit of a break. I've got a couple more in the works but after that I'll be doing an upbeat Grimmjow video and perhaps an all-round Bleach video depending on what the next new opening for the anime is like. :)

I was hoping it would effect at least one person in that way. Whilst i dont like the idea of making people cry XD, it really is very flattering when i do what i consider to be an emotional video and get that kind of reaction, i think this was a particularly emotional subject for an AMV.

A lot of us have been there, had I not gone through it myself I don't think I could have expressed it as well and I dont think it will have a big effect on anyone that hasn't gone through a stage like that in their life either. I'm a lot older and capable of understanding it a lot more, it all seems trivial now but at the time i think its a very difficult stage in a young persons life, when they're most vulnerable to the opinions of others.

To me this was a very intriguing gmv. I personaly think you where able to bring out what you set out to do. thuo as a precuotion i never have watched .hack or played the games becouse i was to busy with castlevinia. you have made me think of this game and anime series more. i thank you for this wonderfull piece of art

Well if youve ever played an online game like FFXI or WoW you'll have an idea on its mechanics. its basically a simulation of an online game, simulated emails and characters with a rather engrossing story. The battles are quite fast and action packed and theres a ton of characters to use. I really recommend the three .Hack G.U games, theyre without a doubt my favourite console games ever.

Hey, um, about her clothes though. They sort of look exactly like what everyone else is wearing, why do the characters in the game think they are old looking? Sorry if that seems like a stupid question...<.<

Ah, well what you'reseeing there are their player characters. The story takes place in an online game, behind the blonde avatar in green clothes is a real highschool girl in our real world. Its set further in the future and games are like a really advanced form of virtual reality, they're completely connected to their characters. When she gets hit by a virus with artificial intelligence, it uses her memories to torment her to learn more about people.

I haven't played the game for G.U., but I've watched most of Roots and I liked her, even thought you don't see much of her before she's attacked. But anywhoo, I liked the text, the video was great, and I think you did a great job. I liked the way you showed her and Haseo. All in all, 5/5!

Ah, i think youre thinking of Shino in Roots. She was Haseo's friend and wears a black dress (white in the anime) but has the same player character as Atoli. (unless im mistaken and Atoli appears in roots along with Shino, i never watched much of it) Whereas Shino is in the anime, Atoli features in the games and struggles with Haseo comparing her to Shino. Its so confusing that they look the same. XD I'm really glad you liked it, thank you. :D

Let me start with telling you that i never played this game/saw this anime (I dodn't know whether it's an anime or a game |D) But I really do adore your video! You absolutely didn't piss me off with the text you added, you really touched me! This way i could feel with the girl, even though i didn't know her. I think the relationship you showed between the girl and the boy is very beautiful! You did a great job, just like always, northstar! 5/5 stars and a fave

I agree. The video flows very well and is relatively easy to understand even without playing the game, the text helps with this also so I believe it was definitely needed. From what I've seen this character seems nice, too. :) But who knows if I'll ever get around to playing this series, because I don't have a playstation...<.<

If you are interested you can download the OVA. It cuts out like 90% of the story and the characters but focuses on Atoli a lot, its what this video was made from and its called .Hack/G.U Trilogy :)
