  • Can they like, do this on Mars or something so we don't destroy the planet?

  • This reminds me of Cassia Eller

  • If the temperature will be 10x hotter than the sun, what on earn will stop the device from melting or exploding?

  • @ghostie108 The very strong magnetic field created by the tokomak. Also the temperature is only inside the gas and would not melt the chamber.

The people who design these things are clever that way!

  • People can use it to burn countries when a world war comes...oh great >_>/ The world is already warm, we don;t need it warmer.

  • If it produces almost limitless power, how much is ten times less than the "almost limited" power that's used to jump start the reactor?

  • @U238Shell you can use the energy it creates, to keep it running.

  • i didnt see anything green about that and besides we all know it would be taken by goverment agencies and given to weapons manufacturers and turn into a portable weapon for the highest bidders, capitalist don't want free and abundant energy for all. they want money making wars that they can fight in other peoples country

  • "The project could provide us with an almost limitless supply of safe and green energy" Well, yeah. maybe OR...blow us all to hell!

  • @Junk3t I hope that was a joke =p

  • Oh, if this works... it could be used for so much good!

  • @sn1pe352

The centre of the sun is where Fusion occurs. The surface of the sun is a little under 6000 K where as the core is around 13million K.

  • there is already a second sun, maybe this is the cover up, a second sun is known for thouthands of years by the native peoples, and in the esoteric knowledge.

it has already been spotted in china not long ago, and even was in the chinece news, but there is a massive cover up on this, they dont want you to know.

i suggest instead watching this BS start watching some Phil Velantine, Alex Collier, Hopi Prophecies, they already know the whole story, you can too if you choose

    dont be fooled again

  • @WishingBones Oh my god it's a religionist! Go back from whence you came- Be gone!!!

There is Science here, you know, fact.

  • @commander979

its wierd that i know about the second sun for 20 years, and your Science only now starting to talk about it,

where is the facts my ignorant friend ? you sound like one who would probablly say the same things about people who said the world is round, please take your IGNORance ass and go worship your scienctist who are asking to kill you, well when i think about it, its fine, just listen to them when they say the world is over populated go act upon THIS Science.

    good luck

  • @WishingBones If you've known about a second sun longer than science has, then you must be a scientist. You sir, have contradicted your own argument. Plus, when has religion ever built a second sun for planet Earth? Go pray to your non-existent god(s).

  • @ipodluigi505

i really want to educate you, i dont see how will it be helpful, if i pull you out of the pit of ignorance, forever you will need external force to do it for you, the only way you can truly cure you ignorance is by your own power, there is not much to it, i told you in this short message, all the knowledge of your god, a lot of it is false and the rest is already known for decades, but it docet really matter, its not yet for you to know, first ask

  • @ipodluigi505

in your case start with this questions

    1 - who am i ?

    2- where am i ?

    3-why am i here ?

you are still in the diapers, so there is no much point for me to keep talking to you, im not trying to insult you

because it docent matter, everyone is in another stage of spiritual evolution in a timeless frame, you can understand the simplicity of reality in 10 seconds or in 10 life times really meaningless

and no im not religionist i do not believe any of you gods

    be it El or science

  • @WishingBones Don't draw this argument into quantum physics, because that's what you are doing.

  • @WishingBones wtf do you know about E??

  • @ipodluigi505

@commander979 Nah, its not a religionist. Merely a conspirasy nutter.

  • @WishingBones I worship no-one and nothing, least not man, if there is a Devil, he need not help humanity, we destroy ourselves well enough alone.

Also this is about building a powerful nuclear reactor -like the sun, hence the name- on earth, last time I checked, your theory was nothing of the sort.

  • yes safe green and then kaboom downs goes the world in a ball of flames to hell with gasoline undies on burn baby burn disco inferno but if it doesnt awsome and yah for humanity making a big leap like that

  • so srs up in her

  • second sun? wtf stfu, theres millions of suns out there so call in not the second sun

  • @19may0001 millions of stars, only 1 named "The Sun"

  • @cowman850 and who named the sun the sun? humans its just a man made name just like the stars are named stars, fucking get it now

  • @19may0001 dude, chill (or heat up), I'm just saying, sorry if it angered you

  • @cowman850 wtf are you serious

  • @19may0001 yeh why?

  • Ummmm, what happens if it works.. a little too well?

Black hole or "second sun" start gobbling up the earth?

  • @ghosted760 Its not massive enough to collapse to a black hole.

  • Fake and gay

  • @butters326 Its not fake or gay its called the ITER project and people have been working hard on it for a good 10 years

  • • SandustanBrasov

The spherical thermonuclear combustion chamber is formed from two joined semispherical parts. The feeding with fuel and electromagnetic filed flux it make through the oriffices from the central part of the semispheres, and the emergence in outside to the electromagnetic field flux it make through the maximum zone, where is joined the semispheres. The two high-speed motors are rotated in the same sense for to establishes a direct electric field between collectors.

  • • SandustanBrasov

This reactor has spherical combustion chamber, with inner magnetic trap, with the electromagnetic field realized outside and introduced inside the sphere with electromagnetic field and fuel introduction device, and direct colected possibilitys of electrcal energy, with semispherical collectors. The device of introduction is composed from: 1).-two high-speed motors with plasmatron in its central zone; 2).-two magnetic circuits for leading the electromagnetic field flux.

  • • SandustanBrasov

Thus, with a sure magnetic trap, without switchs of heat and with the direct extraction to the electrical energy=to the particles of electrical ether, it can pass direct at the final phase of obtaining to the commercial controlled thermonuclear reactor. I consider that the price of research and realization in this case, can be of at least 10 times more small than the actual ITER project, and separated can be realized of many countries.

  • • SandustanBrasov

I turn the globe of plasma for to realize the magnetohydrodynamic principle of directly extraction of the particles of current(electrical ether). The atoms of helium after formation can pass through the texture of the magnetic trap as residue. The electromagnetic field of the magnetic trap must let enter with power for to space out, to press, and turn with 800 m/s the globe of plasma and afterwards fastly let go outside.

  • • SandustanBrasov

Feeding a superconductive coil with an electrical current it obtain in the her round only a magnetic field. But disposing in the round of the superconductive coil a certain magnetic and dielectric pieces, it obtain the variation of the electrical permitivity and of the magnetic permeability, which will transform the magnetic field of the superconductive coil in electromagnetic field, which can evolve(go) more faraway in space, without to close immediately the curl.

  • • SandustanBrasov

In the magnetic trap of the tokamak installation it produce only magnetic field which it maintain in the round of the coil without to fulfil the role of magnetic trap. The electromagnetic field can evolve(go) in space and in the interior of one spherical chamber, can be weaved in order to form a stratified network, which let hold the particles of the thermonuclear plasma.

  • • SandustanBrasov

    • The texture of toroidal, poloidal or stellarator magnetic field is too rare for to form a magnetic trap. The magnetic trap must let be one electromagnetic stratified wall with weaved at entrance and with disweaved at emengence. The electromagnetic wall of the magnetic trap is a wall with formation and continuous displacement.

  • SandustanBrasov

The Sun has two sorts of magnetic field: 1)-the principlal magnetic field of the solar magnetosphere which dress the solar mass; 2)-the secondary magnetic fields which pass through the whirligig tubes by one hemisphere in another. Because the rotation of the solar mass the lines of the secondary magnetic fields are not parallel with lines of the principal magnetic field, but are adjacent and thus it form at the surface of the Sun a texture of magnetic lines as a magnetic wall.

  • SandustanBrasov

Now the ITER can not be a makerstars, because the his specialists know not how work the Sun with his principal components. In outside of incandescent solar mass exist: principal magnetic field(solar magnetospher with magnetic trap); secondary magnetic fields(made by whirl's tubes); radiations belt; the "butterfly" diagram(with solar spots position in the ends of the whirl's tubes, which pass through the solar mass); whirl's pressure; magnetic pressure by principal magnetic field

  • • SandustanBrasov

The conditions of thermonuclear controlled fusion: temperature, concentration, confinement and duration - can not obtained never in a tokamak installation, because the her incapacity of the magnetic trap, which can not dress and sourround whole the thermonuclear plasma. The plasma can not be restrained, can not be maintained and thus can not be heating. Till now 2011 - was confined not the plasma on the tokamak installations.

  • • SandustanBrasov

Through divertor it remove the impurities from the chamber of thermonuclear combustion and it consider the single zone where the plasma is leted free let touch the walls. Really is good? really is logical this construction? If will be not existed the solar magnetosphere with her magnetic trap as let dress complete the incandescent solar mass, then the our planet can burn and remain without water.

  • • SandustanBrasov

The Sun shows us how it prepare and how it produce the thermonuclear reaction, and the resonant generator of the Tesla show us how it can extract the electricity= the particles of the electrical ether, without to utilize the switchs of heat. The ethereal explanation of phenomenon is necessary because in outside of electricity= electrical ether, all ethereal substances are: the electrons, the inductive magnetic field, as and the electrical field.

  • spider man will stop this...or chuck norris...

  • ever see the black hole on earth video???

  • i want a sun

  • The problem with fusion energy is that they have to convert the output energy into mechanical energy since there is no other known way to produce electricity besides the photovoltaic effect, so that essentially all but a fraction of the output is wasted in the rendering of useable force. Scientist hate to admit it but fusion reactors are hardly more than exalted toaster ovens when it comes to generating electricity.

  • thumbs up if you were listening to calibre second sun before this

  • what is wrong with the one we got?

  • @daelohmen It doesn't power homes as well

  • the freemasons are never going to let this happen.

  • @KhatiDaal i hear that

  • The problem is what to do with the radioactive Tritium that is a by product of this reaction? The half life is one of days - not years. But radioactive hydrogen (Tritium) is something we have no way of containing. Atomic fusion is still a better way to generate power than Atomic fission

  • or everything could go wrong and we could blow the fuck up.

  • @hetios if the reaction breaches containment, it shuts off. That's the facts. You might want to look into what fusion is about before saying preposterous things.

  • I think they should work on actually fixing the ozone layer before all this, but what do I know?

  • @laughingHawk This will help fix the ozone layer, countries wont be burning coal to make the national grid work they will be using this so that in itself will help.

  • @IITzZM1TCH Can the ozone actually be repaired though? I mean the parts that are already very damaged?

  • @laughingHawk not repaired; the formation of ozone is a natural process, and as long as it isn't interfered with it will fix itself, but the problem is that cfs persistently interfere with it. Thats why they were banned, they compare with DDT as far as toxic persistence.

  • Have no idea how it works but sounds gr8. Ow but what if somthing went wrong like we used to have problems with nuclear reactors in the past 10 times hotter than the sun thats like 150 million kelvin and when that gets loose hell on earth.

  • damn.. i hope i witness the start of the first fusion reactor in my life... that would be the greatest breakthrough since... dunno... since the industrialization in Great Britain i think....

  • Well since we primitve apes still use fission...which is NOT safe.

    NOT clean

    NOT efficiant (enough)

    i say ..yay Fusion? :D

  • If it's ten times the temperature of the Sun, wouldn't that mean we need something that is able to withstand that temperature? As far as I know, nothing of that sort exists.

"Safe", maybe not. "Green", also maybe not. The hydrogen atoms - where are those coming from? They ARE the heavier isotopes of the hydrogen atoms, and those need some sort of energy source to sort them out from the usual isotopes.

Therefore, this idea has some major flaws. Otherwise, w00t fusion.

  • @ekoukano

Well , The hot plasma (undoubtedly) which will be formed will have an electromagnetic property, which can be controlled using magnetism , thus the whole reaction will take place in a tiny tiny bit of space compared to the general cross sectional area of the reactor.

rest assured , the problem is not so much temperature resistivity but tremendous proton radiation.

    AND SUSTAINABILITY

  • @chimemonster Oh joy, radiation. Everyone loves that, right?

I'll stick to my massive stacks of rad-x and rad-away, thanks.

  • @ekoukano

    Intelligence +1 +Survival +39%

  • @chimemonster: Absolutely. I'm no scientist, but I think I've read that the proton radiation degrades the jacket very quickly, and even the container itself. Plus, didn't I read that the amount of energy it may take to "start" and sustain a reaction is hellish? Talk about sustainability! I guess that if it was so easy, it would have been done long ago. Blow me off if I'm wrong--it's okay, we non-scientist are pretty meek and easily cowed! ;-)

  • @marginallymental

no need to mark yourselves down sir, today is the world full of those who can only half guess at the truth, we have finally realized that we have no clue as to the true working and nature of the universe which we inhabit

  • Respond to this video...

Of course you are right , there are big engg issues to be resolved and the basic science of maintaining the fusion reaction. It is not easy , But Also it is not impossible (i think) , well begun is half done , rather once the reaction starts to maintain the high temperature , a continuous stream would be needed. We cannot shut the reactor down even for maintenance.

  • @marginallymental The problem is converting the output into something that can reenter the cycle of generating the plasma on a scale smaller than that of stellar formation. The reaction itself is also not very stable outside of those conditions, its like epic jenga dominoes played against the universe.

  • @vhayes8886 no because it's ... TOO SMALL !?! ;-)

It's sort of the same with the mini-black-holes in the LHC

  • Comment removed

  • And if they fuck up.. then what?

  • so when this has a meltdown like chenobel what the fuck will happen? ya exactly

  • @p6a9u1l42 Not too much I would say. As far as I know there is no radiation when using fusion that could spread over whole countries...

  • what if this became an actual sun accidentally, think agbout it

  • @Ratama we'd all get awesome tans for the remaining few days of our lives.

  • 2 other types of hydrogen are Deuterium and Tritium.

    hydrogen has no neutron

    deuterium has one neutron

    tritium has 2 neutrons

0,016 % of natural hydrogen is deuterium

witch can be electolytic refined to "heavywater"

  • this is old, the test was years ago, in england.

they built a donutchaped fusionreaktor, witch they got up

    to 15 mill. kelvin.

  • All of this with 10% of our brain working?

  • Hopefully, things go well.

  • @GodofCider

You'll probably know if it doesn't

    BOOM

  • This will kill all of us.

  • 10x the sun's temperature?!

    That's like 60,000°C!

  • @cheesypeesy2 ITS OVER 9 THOUSAND!!!!

  • @DeKlauwXD How the hell did I not think of that.

    *Face palm*

  • I think the secret "they" don't want you to know, is that we are in fact all Energizer batteries and not Duracell as depicted in the Matrix.

  • It's so annoying always hearing these scientists conclude their videos with stuff like: "It will cost a lot of energy to start it" or "It will cost a billion $ to start, but will generate trillions of $ in profit if it works".

With so many people coming up with "limitless energy" projects, theories and ideas, but ALL of them have the same excuse that it will be extremely expensive to start up, i'm really starting to wonder if all this is just fake BS to generate jobs and get some $

  • @sylvur it's a violation of the conservation of energy law: energy cannot be created or destroyed.

  • this has nothing to do with bombs or radiation people. Just clean and safe energy!

  • 2018???? I think more like 2025

  • Would this discovery allow the creation of bombs 10 times more powerful than nuclear bombs?

  • @NaceLunk yeah that already exists its called a h-bomb

  • @NaceLunk no offence but they probably already have bombs that powerful,

atomic bombs where created over 50 years ago, you'd think they would ahve come up with something more destructive by now. and of course they wont tell us.

we wont find out till its dropped on someone =\ just like the atom bomb in WW2.

  • safe and green energy? Hmm, sounds like a radiation volcano more than anything...

  • i think the amazing part is, the mayans were only off by 6 years.

  • It's better if they build that somewhere else instead on Earth for safe reasons. There are two things that human shouldn't build on Earth are the SUN and the BLACKHOLE. 2 things in the universe that can't turn off by a switch. By now, they probably have a machine running on either UFO or mothership that require alot of energy.

  • I´m a private person. I write to german government but nobody answered. It gives more easier things like that. september 2012 I will publish a book about it. An "eyewittnesreport...".

  • cheap human life !

  • I'd feel safer if they did an experiment like this in Space, the magnetic field would have to be pretty damn immense to keep this contained but I doubt it will be the end of the world before people start panicking, look at the LHC, no black-hole engulfed us all

  • @johnholland1987 wow you fail, thats because the LHC broke down way before it got up to speed, and if this went wrong it would pretty much instantly incinerate everything in a few hundered mile radius, possibly more.

  • Doctor Octopus is in charge of this initiative, Gordon Freeman is his assistant.

  • @gregtestagent with Black Mesa funding the project and Aperture Science as a subsidiary

  • @GraveRavenSword lulz aperture science is frum portal

  • @gregtestagent first thing that came to mind haha

  • whew, its like "the power of sun in the palm of my hands!!"

    -doc octopus-

  • They should do it in 2012, just to let the public freak out about it.

  • yes it sounds very safe

  • 10x hotter then the sun? The sun't temperature is around 6,000 °C....

    Those people are insane.

  • @R4Zy3L

no... they're not insane... they're just trying to secure our future power supply. i bet people making flying machines in the past were once called insane

  • @wiseye61 thats because a flying machine one wrong could kill a few ppl this could kill hundereds of millions.

  • @oBLACKIECHANoo

yes... and then something else that can kill billions will be made and your children will still compain how different this is from flight and second sun

  • @wiseye61 who wouldnt ?

  • @oBLACKIECHANoo

thats what i am trying to say, what seems scary to you now isn't scary to people in the future

  • @wiseye61 yes but its not scary, its just a chance that it could go wrong.

  • ten times hotter than the sun...I'm sure that will melt stuff.

  • ten times hotter than the sun? ...won't that melt stuff?

  • Yup, this project could provide us with a limitless supply of energy, so long as it doesn't blow out of proportion upon starting the flare and killing everyone. Lovely, lovely experiment. I hope this experiment never happens and gets shut down.

  • @msheppard91

The people who are doing this experiment are incredibly intelligent human beings with an advanced understanding of engineering and physics. Do you also believe the LHC will destroy the planet? Retards.

  • 2018............. Seem so far away......

  • ohh shit i see a new nuclear war.

  • So now we are making a sun on earth, anybody else sees a problem with that? Mainly that suns are extremely hot? And who says the sun wont keep growing and consumes everything.

  • @Airandius Yeah like in spiderman 2 o.o spideyy help us!~ by then some one will get infected with a super spider and save the day hope itll be me muhaha XD

  • @Airandius 1) we are creating on earth much higher temperatures then on sun right now. 2) yea it will grow just like all nuclear power plants grow from year to year ^^ ..you know you kinda control the fuel ^^

  • @Airandius

The laws of thermodynamics, common sense, the smartest scientists in the world.

  • cool

  • Fuck nwo

  • This is very concerning. I want green energy too, but this...the pitfals the possible negatives worry me.

    Ben Willow

  • Didn't we saw this on spiderman2? and didn't the experiment failed, like 2 times?

oh well I guess if its goes haywire we only need to dump it on the river.

  • ridiculous !

  • why 2018? why not now!!!!!

  • In 2018 lets all celebrate our last birthday and have all the sex and do what ever is on your mind, cause we wont be here when that reactor is set off.

  • @fmoe2750 didn't we already do that when they started the LHC...

  • safe? How could anything so powerful ever be considered safe?

  • If it gets 10x the heat of the sun, won't it melt the chamber?

  • @Zm4rf

No, it's contained in a powerful magnetic field. It's a tokomak reactor.

  • @Hefotos so magnets repel heat? that's pretty damn cool.

  • @Zm4rf

Do you honestly think if it was possible to melt the chamber the scientists working on it wouldn't realize? Or are you more intelligent then them? You obviously do not know how a tokamak works.

  • @Hefotos whoa whoa, i'm not trying to come off as arrogant. I genuinely don't know how this works. What is a tokamak?

  • @Zm4rf

A device used to hold plasma in a spinning containment field. Wikipedia has a good article with good references at the bottom.

  • simply amazing

  • Hey !! Is it available for SALE ??

  • @TheJaems No, but I think Kip Kay does a hack for something like this.

  • oh know! not a gaysius mixture its teh end of da wurld

  • and this is probably going to kill us all

  • fusion is an very promising energy source... since it really provides huge amount of energy even comparing to fission... and no waste need really to be taken care of

  • =\

where do they plan to set it off?

Hopefuly not on earth or were doomed

And is it even gonna work?

  • the real sun is gonna be so fucking pissed off he will destroy the planet if you take him for granted like this by creating a fake sun.

  • @lewesrich haha your hysterical!!! ow nooooo! i vote thumbs down D: i meant thumbs up sorry

  • Yeah!! Thats what we need!!!!!! Huge waste of unrenewables on some prototype sun machine

  • @blobrockster hydrogen is unrenewable....? are...you retarded? Hydrogen is the most abundant thing on the planet. in the entire universe even.

  • @twelvehaha

First off, it only works with deuterium and tritium. Second, there is a limited amount of hydrogen on this planet and it would near impossible to harvest efficiently from "space". Yes there's a lot. No, it's not renewable. Yes we should use it though, it could last millions of years.

  • @Xelbiuj Actually, Hydrogen is THE most common element in the universe: It is what makes up every other element by fusing together. It's how the sun works in the first place. It fuses the Hydrogen to create Helium. Once all Hydrogen has ben used, it then will have mostly Helium to fuse. It will keep doing this until the energy required to fuse elements become larger than the energy it can deliver.

  • Why do you guys assume the scientists haven't already thought about these risks and made 100+ safety plans before this video was even posted?

  • The benefits don't seem to outweigh the risk of trying something like this on earth... perhaps we should try it in space first.

  • I WANT ONE

  • Do you know how much ****ing gravity would be created by a super mass of theis size?

  • @IxXShotGunXxl

A super mass of this size?

  • believe me ... your electricity bill will not go down ...

  • The EU is spending vast amounts of money on this (almost as much as all other alternate energy research combined). I suspect the reason why politicians don't talk about fusion much is because as soon as they mention the word 'nuclear', the scientifically illiterate public will inevitably freak out and sabotage the whole thing in ignorant protest.

  • I guess that's why they dropped the original name and use the old acronym as the new name.

  • Unless you hadn't noticed, politicians do exactly as the government pleases.

  • @Jinmane What's the deal with scientific illiterates and fusionphobia?

  • @Jinmane Pretty much yeah....people are dumb...

  • @Jinmane amen to that brother

  • What are they thinking? Are they trying to destroy our environment doing this kind of experiment here on Earth.... that is surely funny and crazy.

  • it is not dangerous because it can't meltdown. It could explode but all radioactive material would float up because it is all lighter then air and would never come down. The explosion would only be big enough to take out the facility.

  • I'd think an explosion would be worse than just a meltdown since an explosion kills the people in the area while a meltdown will only kill the fools standing very close to the reactor while it melts.
