The elderly poverty rate was astronomical. Millions went their entire lives never being able to afford to see a doctor. The "free market" he worships never had a solution for these problems. Gov't. got involved as a mechanism to address problems the "free market" was inadequate or unwilling to address.

If it were not for France, Germany, and the UK, (the only producers in Europe) the rest of Europe would be where Greece is right now. You have to have a means of production in order to compensate for all those benefits. Europe cannot generate enough revenue, so they can't tax enough, even though the consumption tax there is like 33%. You eventually run out of other ppls money.

Also, you must look at the size of the countries enacting it- They are the size of the US states! The elderly poverty rate was astronomical. Millions went their entire lives never being able to afford to see a doctor. The "free market" he worships never had a solution for these problems. Gov't. got involved as a mechanism to address problems the "free market" was inadequate or unwilling to address.

Did the Ron Paul drones actually watch this video? He got owned. This is the worst I've ever seen him. He was flabbergasted when he was asked why doesn't impose term limits on himself. As for saying he doesn't want to abolish Medicare, I didn't understand that. I guess he just felt like being contrarian to O'Donell? I've heard him say many times that he does want to abolish Medicare.
