The show stopped at the second season because that's as far as Brett and Jemaine wanted to take it. Dunno what kind of shows you people usually watch but I think the decision to remain with two great seasons instead of five or six shit ones was a great idea.

How many times do we say that a show should of stopped at the top of it's game, and then when a show does we complain that it should have kept on the air (no doubt until it runs out of good ideas, becomes lame, and then we can say - "They should have got out at the top of their game")

Because this is bizarre, not funny, and they ran out of ideas? A yearly show just doesn't work for these guys anyway. They're stand-up comedians, who worked best when half the joke was that the audience expected them to be terrible (as 99% of all people with a guitar on a stand-up stage are) but they were hilarious, clever and inventive.

I wouldn't be surprised to learn they ended the show, and if they come up with more ideas and pitch them, for HBO to bring it back.
