I love it, and i've been playing with it on one production site. Unlike youtube API, this one takes a while to learn and yes... it does expect you to be a GEEK, sad really ! But I suppose google is keeping the option open as well.. let the users become Teachers for APIs as well ? If anyone is thinking of learning google MAP APi, i suggest that you browse the DEMOS first than do anything else. Because that's where you will learn a lot. Search : Google Maps API Demo. Nice presentation.

This short tutorial gave me the concepts I need to really understand how to make a google map. I wish more web programmers would do likewise, rather than having their concepts buried in a price heavy book or long, abstruse written article with only a few illustrations.
