  • Interesting that hilton Valentine is playing with this band, I thought I recongised him.

  • 16 retards

  • who's the fox on bass?

  • I see my name in the background is that my que for picking up my royalties for this and many more song lyrics that I have not been cited or paid for, I wrote when I was a kid?

  • he lost it

    glad hes doing well though

  • A better life for me and you, yeah yeah . . . (?)

Probably plays well at the casinos.

  • The fact that he can still sing, after some of his raspy early stuff, is amazing, and the fact that he's still amazing, is mindblowing

  • Just looked at a version from 1965. Like this more.Superb.

  • <3

  • Is the keyboardist an original Animal?

  • is that the fk eric bureden _ OMFG he is better than the original !!!! super grtaz man!!! ?tghe salute laDIES - BOW And kurtze now :)

  • is that the fk eric bureden _ OMFG he is better than the original !!!! super grtaz man!!!

  • not feeling the jazzed out version. The original is obviously the best, but when you get old comfortably you forget the emotion you used to have that fueled the song when you first wrote it... My assumption of course, but I don't feel anything even similar to what i feel when I hear the OG version. Shmeh...

  • @slacktube

Howdy Slack,Take it from an ole-timer,no one in their 60s is comfortable ! Adios Amigo,Oatsburner

  • hes 67 and most guys arent this good in their prime

  • I like his young versions of his songs MUCH more than the way he does them now.

  • Great to see Hilton Valentine playing behind Eric again. Memories of the Aggo club in Percy street many, many years ago. Magic stuff !!!!

  • Still amazin...

  • I kneel, I bow

  • @M4000D Somewhere else, perhaps.

  • @M4000D Space? Matrix? Regressing? Nowhere?

  • これが本当のロックボーカリストです!

    この歳になっても声は健在!

    スゴイ!凄過ぎる!

    これだけのジジイになって、これだけの唄を歌える人間が世界にどれ程いるでしょうか?

    尊敬に値します!

  • the saddest day of my life when Eric left England

  • REAL ROCK!

  • amazing, when I was 15 I used to listen to the Animals on a record player all the time. HE SINGS BETTER NOW!!

    How can?

  • @heydadd Was it a Dansette? Mine was

  • Whoa! He just sounds better! How is that even possible?! I would really like to see The Animals re-unite one last time.

  • Doubtless he can not sing like when he was in his twenties. I am glad to see that he modifies his accompany vocals to make up for it, instead of trying to take the show just for himself. A sign of a not only good but smart singer. My hat is off to him.

  • @tkarchesy

    I totally agree!

  • @tkarchesy

Sorry, stud...Eric has lost nothing in this presentation. Nor his band. Still a thrill and directive !!!!!!!!!!!

  • I played in a band in the 60's. We played all the "British Invasion" groups including the Animals. House of the Rising Sun was my favorite. EB still sounds great. You GO guy! the Hammond B3 organ was the best sound.

  • LOVE this song...Thanks for posting it here. We have this and many many other Great tunes at TOMA'S TIMELESS TUNES, i hope you stop by and subscribe. I did subscribe to your channel. Thanks again. Tommy Toma.

  • only problem i have with this is....rip down that Gibson shit.and put up.....LUDWIG....

  • @whokeithmoon that would be a mistake. Gibson makes the sound. Ludwig backs with the beat.

  • Sing it like was ment to be song, minus the bullshit theatric's of the day! Don't try to compete with todays rockers (If Any) they will bury you!!

  • thx from Jm Morrison, as the Doors were very influenced by the Animals

  • Had such a crush on him when we were, both, younger! He's still got it!

  • Eric STILL rocks!

  • Whew, Eric!! is it hot in here, or is it just you?? Every clip I see gets better and better!!! Excellent.

  • oh wow!! oh wow!! oh wow!! oh wow!! this man can work me any time he wants too!!!!

  • Peter Pan is a wannabe when it comes to being ageless, GO ERIC, GO!

  • no doubt his an especially talented man but he was and still is animal. No comparison with Elvis or Pavarotti

  • Éric Burdon j'ai toujours apprécié ses chansons

  • Wow - Eric is 100x cooler - and even better sounding - than he ever was in his 20s. The only other guy who could have pulled off this kind of cool in his 60s would have been Jim Morrison. Total soul!

  • them two women ruined eric. oh well i bet he wouldn't have missed it for the world.

  • is that Patricia Morrison on bass!!!?

  • Excellent!

  • The man is still FABULOUS !!!! Almost a half century later and he still rocks the house down.

  • Voice is still good at this age but a true dedicated artist! Loved him in the early days and through the years and now. A true icon for all great musicians.

  • Eric can thank his genes that he has still got a nice head of hair and those hands---love them both! Keep singing Eric!!!

  • cool.........:))

  • isn't this a BOC song??

  • My anthem for the week of August 16..

  • A legend.

  • I would like to have a rock n' roll grandpa like Eric, the guy is great

  • Surely the best male vocalist of all time.

  • awesome! Saw him live last summer! Long live & prosperous Mr Burdon! :-))))

  • To us, Pam,George,Ashleigh for us who remember this quite well.

  • You really have to admire Eric Burdon. He has been singing for years and has not lost a step. He is just as good as he was years ago.... Keep rockin it Eric!!

  • His voice hasn't aged at all!

  • I saw him live a few years ago at a biker rally in Reno. The audience of all ages was going absolutely wild. One of the best shows I have ever seen. In 1968 he got the mike cord wrapped around his head and fell off the stage. . forward dive for a good distance. I asked him about it and he called it intentional. . It was in the papers the next morning. Super nice guy to talk too. . takes time to talk to everyone after the show.

  • This brings back so many memories of the Downbeat club and the Club Agogo in Newcastle way back in the early 60's. Remember me boys? Jenny Clarke

  • biiddddäää...damals wie heut...er isn wahrer WELTTITAN!!!!

  • GREAT!

     FOREVER!

  • great to see hilton again

  • He 's about 70 and still have it, wow.

  • Still got it - always will - one of the greats- not at pink floyds level (Who is?) but close -

  • not really if you ever saw any other live performance before this apparently staged one eric adlibs waaay too much

  • He doesn't need to be on the level of Pink Floyd. He was years bigger than Floyd...

  • He may have been a litle earlier than floyd but , not bigger, floyd was one of the 2 or 3 best and most talented bands ever, and Gilmour is continuing the tradition. You ever seen a floyd concert? - watch Pulse

  • ERIC--- YOU ARE H O T!

  • archetypal voice of rock of all time

  • In south Viet Nam durning the War... a Monster HIT...Semper Fi MARINES and to all the Viet-Nam motorcycle clubs the same!!! ((( Ride Hard Stay Free!!! )))

  • Strange

  • One of the best

    EVER

  • Attaboy Eric!!!

  • Just discovered this wow this guy is the epitomy of cool. Im 42 in a band and can see how great this guy was love the War stuff to how could anyone deny how good these guys were? Why is EB so good? He feels the music from head to toe tons of soul love it!!

  • Right on! Wildhorses39

  • @Wildhorses39 I read an article some years ago where the Beatles, Rolling Stones and Eric Burdon and the Animals hung out together in London back in the early 1960's. I think it was John Lennon that said the three groups were "the fucking kings of the jungle."

  • @Wildhorses39 that's what is all about. hard working man who loves his job

  • @Wildhorses39 he was the front man of the 1960s group the animals he is good

  • @Wildhorses39 Hey, man! Jeez these guy still rock! I just found out today that the band (the Animals) played this other popular song. When I go to any karaoke night at the bar they love "The House of the Rising Sun". This is actually the first song that inspired me to sing, though most of my influence goes to Jim Morrison from the Doors and Cronos from Venom. These guys had serious subject matter, very deep and dark for the time which continues to this day. Robert Johnson was a pioneer of viral!

  • @Wildhorses39 Eric Burdon is a legend and an icon. Wonderful!!!! And THIS song may be my favorite the Animals ever did.

  • The old ones are always the best.

  • Listen to his song "Over the Border" or "Devil Run", they're real great!!!!

  • I love Eric Burdon's singing skills and especially his lyrics a lot!

  • Older, slower but still so hot. Love u Eric.

  • still one of the great singing voice`s I love it. !!

  • he still has it

  • Cool!

  • There is a proverd that we Greeks use to say: "Like good old wine" : )

  • be nice if john and alan would join them

  • They would just punch each other.....it would not work...john is with his own animals on tour and alan with his own band....

  • He still has the fire. He had health problems to that time.

  • Very interesting version of thei song, I like it. Nice to have Hilton (guitar player) back in the band.

  • Well, some guys do'n get old, they simply MATURE, like brandy

  • I love it! Thanks!

  • Master classic by master singer
