  • Oh freshmen...

  • lol you mad brah?

  • Could you get ANY worse with the quality? Come on

  • my friend was tailing off one time and he was trying to use the push stick to pull away a small piece of pine, it got away from him and it hit me above the dick. phew.

  • It happens to everyone. I use a table saw frequently for work, and I have a piece kick back at least once or twice a year. I just don't stand in the way.

  • @abacab87

Once or twice a year?? I could see once or twice in your lifetime, even when working in a shop every day, but seriously once or twice a year is unacceptable.

  • @rockindavan88 it happens at my school too, when some student forgets to put the riving knife in, they may inadvertently twist the board, creating a kickback. it's all human error. when you have 100's of students using the saw every day, it'll happen occasionally.

  • that not real kickback otherwise say bye bye

  • I have been hit with kickback 2 over the last few years and it left a mark that lasted for 6 months both times . . ouch!!!!

  • MMMMMMMMMMMMOTT!

  • you are one lucky man.

  • i go to this school and the teacher uses this vid for safety teaching LOL my boyfriend was in the class and they showed this. it happened last year XDD

  • when i started out at my job 6 years ago i got a kick back on a table saw and fractured my thumb. ah well i was only started a week but i learnt.

  • this actually just happened in my class and the kid went down after getting hit in the gut, left a mark so good you could see the end-grains in his skin

  • great teaching!!

  • where his ppe

  • Iam a softmore and my teacher tells my dont stand in the line of fire!!!1

    rookie fershmen

  • Your teacher gave good advice.

When you look at the speeds and forces involved in kickback you come to realise that it can, given the right conditions of wood, be fatal.

Anyone standing "in the line of fire" is taking a completely unnecessary risk - and taking risks on something as completely unforgiving as a table saw is sheer stupidity.

I'm actually surprised so many people have the chance to be hit with kickback in school - the teachers should be drilling shop safety into them.

  • yo who is that kid

  • @topdog9d9 ur mom

  • We had this accident before. The "flying" board went through 4 boards next to the wall.

  • lol that happened to me and i'm a senior...except the board actually hit me in the chest. haha poor freshy.

  • stupid freshy

  • he should of got nailed

  • I've had tablesaw kickback before...just don't stand in front of the blade with your balls in the direct line of fire...unless you like that sort of thing.

  • HAH!
