Uhm.... hey I have a question.... well, I'd like to know why is taken as ballet an art, for me it is much more of an sport than art, if it is, why isn't basketball or soccer taken as art too, I mean you could play basketball with some music on the background, what is the difference between than and ballet??

@TheAngelgirl7 there's no doubt ballet and dance in general requires great athleticism, but it's one thing to execute the steps and another thing entirely to do them with purpose and have a motivation. Often the best ballet dancers are remarkable actors along with having incredible technique. Look up Alessandra Ferri's "Romeo et Juiliette pas de deux": she not only is a fantastic dancer but each emotion "Juliette" would feel is conveyed to the audience. hope this answered your question. :)
