i have a staffy to very very naughty they are when there young he will calm down as he gets older . i have had 3 staffys and have never them known to be nasty to people only other dogs give him lots of hard toys to chew to save your furniture if hes a chewer which most staffys are but also remember a dog is still a dog and may not tolerate children so never leave a child with any dog hope this helps x
the magic secret is TRAINING. if you can't train a dog you shouldn't have kids and if you can't train your kids you shouldn't have dogs. they both think alike in the fact they are learning and testing you. TRAIN the dog!
the English staffordshire bull terriers ( the original breed) were originally the miners dogs hard working they definitely are they will not stop for nothing. As for being more agile the American pit bull terrier yes, they are because they origins come from the english staffy and they were bred to have longer legs and skinnier bodies than the english ones so commonsense says they are indeed more agile. As for the smarts I haven't met a more intelligent dog than a english staffy.

Sorry to disagree,but a correctly bred Pit,has been proven more agile then any Staff through history.The highest working titled dog in history is a Pitbull even titled in Herding cattle and that means you have to be very agile and smart enough not to get kicked.Dont get me wrong I too love Staffs and have great friends that breed them and they too will admit a pits agility is far better.
