London's City Airport reminds me of our old city airport... The Meigs Field was here in Chicago years ago. We had corporate jets that came into the city.. That was cool. This is nice too...

When the airport opened, the Dash 7 was the only turboprop aproved to fly into LCY. And Eurocity Express and Brymon were the only carriers operating.

22 years later, airplanes like the Bae 146, ATR42, ATR72, EMB 145, 135, Fokker 50m etc, and airlines like Lufthansa, Air France, FlyBe, Aer Lingus, Aer Araan, VLM, Luxair, Swiss,etc. are flying into this airport.

They promised us QUIET turbo-prop planes; it was a STOLPORT - short take off and landing, for the uneducated. Since then, they have increased the flight numbers from 30,000 a year, to over 120,000. That's why I, and others, are pissed off - both with ill-informed twats like you, and the LCA itself. Learn a bit, before you open your ill-informed mouth.

London has 5 main airports. London City Airport is in the very centre of London but due to it's short runway and steep take off and approach due to tall buildings nearby and a very strict noise policy it is restricted to smaller aircraft. London's main airport is Heathrow which is to the west of the City.
