Sorry about your lost, such a beautiful airplane. It was a "Dumb thumb." (pilot errors). Blame it on your self not your plane. Have you ever heard of a "right rudder "? People usually use it during take off you know, especially when flying a tail dragger. It will keep you airplane track straight and true.
You did look a bit nose heavy and thus the touchy controls. Expo helps on touchy flight controls. Looks like you do need more sim time, after the prop strike you flared too early and reaction caused a stall.
@BMACK991 Doesn't matter if the CG is forward or not, either way, a plane with its CG off, whether it is nose heavy or tail heavy, the controls WILL SEEM more touchy due to plane imbalance. Have you flown a plane with the CG set forward making a nose heavy aircraft? Do you even fly know how to fly RC? You couch pilots should think before you make a stupid comments that don't make sense.....
your coming in to hot. to much throttle. i only fly larger scale edfs, but i started out on warbirds. you need to let it just glide in on all most idle. then when you're close to touch down, you need to flare. simply add a tad bit of power and pull back a tad. its a picky maneuver and timing is everything, but it'll come to you. i "would" recommend getting a good rc flight sim. i've been flyinf a very long time now and i just love being able to work out new stunts in the sim first.
Sorry for the loss. The P-47 might have been a bit tail heavy, but it was flying On your next aircraft make it a little nose heavy on the first couple of flights, practice more landings, and take it easy on the elevator control especially at low speeds. Don't give up !!!
1) Any plane that porpoises like that ain't nose heavy- it's either slightly tail heavy or balanced way too close to the CG for a noob pilot, especially on a close-coupled airframe like a warbird.
2) If you advertise your vid as a "crash" you'd better damn well show the crash. Now get out there and re-film it till you get it right and we get vid of a crash.
I know this is late... but don't kill yourself over this. It is likely that when you ripped the gear off, the balance of the plane changed. The gear is well in front of the CG and the wheel may be even further in front (leading edge) when you ripped it off, you took off not only the gear, but the blocks as well, the CG would've immediately changed.
Glad to see so many knowing nothing abour flying. He comes in at WAY to high throttle both times. He dont land, he fly the plane into the ground. Therefore he touches with the nose down, not flaring as he should, and breaks off one blade from his propeller. This causes imbalance and the lack of weight in the propelles causes the endine to stop. He panics and pulls his elevator with makes the bird fly again, and then stall into the ground.
do not rush these things like balancing the aircraft and props cos these small things can cause what just happened. And check all the controls and range before flying on madien flight
You are really crap at flying, but like another guy said-we are all that bad in the beginning. Do yourself a favor and buy a simulator, you'll save a lot of money especially if you get into r/c helicopters. Your flying may be bad, but it's nothing compared to the total lack of knowledge your cameraman displays!
obviously a video of someone not knowing WTF was going on. LOL,,,,,dont' let the naysayer's get you down,,,,they're all guilty at one time of not knowing WTF,,,,just tone down a bit and get a trainer,,,,and go from there. Good luck.
Next time you try landing, wether it be a trainer or a plane your not qualified to fly, bring the power back to idle before you pancake it into the ground.
You big faggot. He clearly says that his engine quite. How the fuck is he gonna put one power when the engine quits? Pretty damn hard to re-start the engine mid-flight.

funny how it's always the machines fault. I just see a rather heavy plane and a very mediocre pilot.

@ricksteffey123 an airplane would have touchy controls if tail heavy. So the nnose heavy idea doesn't make sense.
