ACTUALLY, Critic... the "other writer" you mentioned, Bill Walsh, was the same guy who wrote the original film and passed away in 1975, even BEFORE anybody thought of doing a remake of "The Absent-Minded Professor" and was only given posthumous credit on the screenplay, I am NOT kidding! So that means John Hughes was the ONLY writer of this movie and is solely to blame!

But that's just if you hate the movie. Me, personally, I kinda like it.

I can't say I hate Flubber, because I don't remember much of the story; when a movie is forgettable that's worse. The only things I ever remembered about this movie were:

1) that creepy robot's infatuation with Robin Williams, even as a kid I thought something was wrong, and usually that crap went straight over my head.

2) The way Robin Williams first says "IT'S FLUBBER!" which me and my friends somehow managed to quote a lot, for some reason it always makes me laugh.
