This is the problem with dslr sensors that dont work with fluorescent lighting. i have used canon t2i and also checked this issue on canon 5d mk2. but the good thing about 5d was it gets this flickering at 125 shutter speed and t2i gets it at 60 shutter speed in the same lighting. the reason for that is sensor size of 5d mk2 is full frame. but this problem is there i guess in all dslrs. In post it can be removed.
Thanks man had the same problem i was running in 1920/30 fps and had the shutter speed on 60 turned down one time to 50 and its gone!!! Thanks a lot for posting this!!!

this flickering is caused by the type of lighting available. the Fluorescent lamp light tend to produce this effect because of the pulsation, invisible to human eyes. With my canon dslr, I set my shutter speed to 1/50 on ntsc when it happens to me, seems to solve the problem.
I have 60D and think may be it does not working properly - Flickering of light in video (night lamps) in "Movie exposure manual mode" (720p 60f/s shutter speed 1/60, 1/80, 1/125... exept 1/100)
!!!!!!BUT in "Movie exposure manual AUTO" there are no any flickering image (no matter wich shutter speed is!!! try it, you will see) - so technically flickering is not inevitable - may be it is programm error.
What do you think about it youtube users? may be it is trouble in firmware&
@rmantica I tried it a while ago so I'm not certain, but I thought 60 didn't work with 30fps as well as 80. 50 and 40 were alright. But again you should try it for yourself since it's so obvious when pointing your camera at a light source and playing around with the shutter speed. Good luck!!
You have to play around with the options on your T2i for frame rate and shutter speed. If you point your camera at a light source it's immediatly obvious when you have a flickering problem. For example: 1080 PAL 25 fps goes well with shutter speed 30, 50 and 100. 40, 60 and 80 give flickering problems.

Yeah, so what if I'm not able to record it again? Any software chances on the matter? The cost is not an issue.

Useful comments !!
I'm in China and had set my Canon EOS60D to 60 for shutter speed.
Strong flickering happened when recording inside an assembly hall :-(
Went down to 50 and flickering is gone :-)
@worldofgnr Great idea you posted this video. It really helps!
THANKS to you all !!!

@robertkersbergen82 Would 40, 60, 80 work well with 1080 30fps?
rmantica 1 year ago
It's because of the frequency of the lights. Since your in PAL country then yes a shutter of 1/50 should match the frequency of the lights.

PA logicki kada snimas ispod 1/100 ili iznad 1/50.

i read somewhere that in the d7000 there is a 50hz or 60hz setting might want to try that thats suppose to reduce flickering.

try to use pal maybe it works or play around with the shutter speed 1/50 maybe...
