  • That was a sick song, well played, sir - and anyone who is critical of it is an obvious cunt.

  • Everybody's a critic... lol. I'm surprised no one's pointed out my missed birls. I was actually taught by one of the best, but I don't have time for private lessons anymore, or to spend all day everyday practicing. I wish my ability did justice to this amazing set of pipes, go look up Dave Atherton if you're unfamiliar. It's a fun tune, nothing more, and I have fun playing it. Not looking to win any competitions. It was a casual atmosphere, and the crowd loved it.

  • he is gripping that chanter like death. His blowing is fairly steady but he is making each note a mission (sounding)......this guy would prob sound really good when he has smoked a bit of wakky tabacca , or had a few "orange" juices lol.............good stuff man , just relax and dont grasp that chanter like death! but good blowing!

  • My fave all time tune to prove a piper, thankyou x

  • @rubiesandice this tune is the "all time tune to prove a piper"....? Wow. I think I'll throw away all my piobaireachd music books, MSR's etc, and just focus on this one tune. I didn't know it was that easy to 'prove' oneself....I think this tune is as easy as they come, hence many people play it. Especially those who 'don't have time' to practice etc, as the man himself states. This is all a bit of harmless fun.....with a dreadfully cheesy tune. ;-)

  • Well, being a Main-ah myself, I gotta praise the effort. I notice a slide sound. Is that part of those custom bagpipes. Cool sound, for sure. Loved it, Seth.

  • Sounds great! A few missed notes, and a few timing issues, so of course it's not PERFECT...but I thought it sounded pretty great, especially considering that it's not a competition. Piping for piping's sake!

  • @flyrod6057 And you've blown the pipes yeah?

  • @rubiesandice Yup... I play McCallum AB4's (mostly for the fun of it...)

  • That bloke is too huge - he's throttling his 'High A' into the octave above. This tune should be outlawed. Like moths to a flame, bad pipers the world over all flock to it because they think it's a show-off piece. In reality, what it actually does is to show-off crossing noises, which are in abundance here. I think there's a lot of potential here if an instructor can tidy up the technique. Keep at it, but maybe look for decent tunes.

  • @Piperealitycheck maybe his reed was off, it was a hot day, have you blown pipes?? and yes i'm asking as someone who plays in competitions!!!

  • @rubiesandice Yes I play - in grade 1, and have won the worlds in gr1. This guy could be a solid player if he got some instruction, and advice of tune selection. His reed was not "off". His chanter is simply not balanced, and his intonation (steadiness of pressure) is not up to it (yet). I simply hate this tune. It is as corny as a direct hit on a corn chip factory.

  • @iParatrooper

Learn to read and write before you insult People it makes you look less stupid, if that is in fact possible.

  • @iparatrooper are you still living with mummy little boy? *laugh* does your Mummy know that you use very nasty and abusive language? I dont think so? now just calm down pick up your Teddybear and Relax ok! :O) like I said you obviously dont play the great pipe so give your mouth a rest and have a nice Tragic sailing accident.

  • @videogamesmad Stick to video games you moron.

  • @iParatrooper Well Yes i Dont Only play Videogames Thats just my Name MORON.

  • @Bigirishcunt Mom always said if you don't have anything good to say then don't say anything at all. Most of the people have rated it, like it. So such your fucking sewer douche bag.

  • At the risk of sounding like an internet asshole/expert.. the " wrong notes" pointed out by "videogames mad" are true... All of that amounts to Jack Shit...You've done a great job of piping out this classic.. Nicely done from all points of view. All of that note bending, is just another example of a Piper that has some skills..

    Well Done!!

  • @10622793g Well said. He took it and made it his bitch! What the hell is wrong with that? I'm all for someone taking a tune and making it their own. More power to him.

  • slow intro but verry well played i'm learnig it myself

  • too big for prop, maybe a 8-man or a lock

  • Well played!just in some parts it seemed like u were rushing a bit but over all great!

  • I was waiting for you to get into it .... and it was worth the wait. Nicely done.

  • i think hes a prop on the local rugby team ;)

  • A true Scotsman!

  • Wooo the Celtic Festival is the best

  • very well done....4 & 1 half stars / 5

  • way to slow.....

  • @IWANNACHICKEN1 I totally agree. This is supposed to be played with energy and speed. It doesn't come alive played slowely like this.

  • pay attention. the tiny clown car he came in is on the right

  • Great playing! and I love those slurrrs!

  • @HighlandPiper1485 Because he has muscles...

  • then theres that old man in the backround pickin up ladies ahahaha

  • Is he single?

  • gleah bhah

  • Shared a plane ride and some bloody mary's to Savannah, GA with this guy before the patricks day parade. nicest guy you'll meet.

  • i love this song "itchy fingers" played by a good piper its wicked and u good sir played it perfectly

  • I love Itchy Fingers. Great job!

  • most pipers way over embellish this tune, and give me a hard time because I don't... the bloody bagpipe is an instrument of war, designed to be played while marching into battle, too many embellishments would have been prohibitive to say the least... this guy does it better than most I have heard

  • thats guys huge.... dont ever tell him that a kilt is a skirt.... you will die

  • excellent! the sheet music for this tune is about the most confusing I have seen in my life.

  • rugby much?

  • i know this guy and he is cool, all the best richie

  • that guy is huge

  • That intro was different. The best I've heard so far! 5 stars.

  • can you send me the sheet music please - great job

  • Thanks. I can't find my copy but I think I pulled it off google. It's by PM R. Mathieson
