  • is funny how they kill christopher lee in the movie... knowing how he dies in manny of the hammer films... in fact wasn't he kill whit a wheel once? XD

  • If you want them to come down, you should maybe build a huge flight of stairs first -- just saying!

  • "Saruman... Your staff is now diamonds."

  • @AvatarAndKataangFan Look down, now back up. You are now standing on top of Orthanc.

  • if you have the special edition they have most ALL the deleted scenes

  • "Save your pity and your mercy, I have no use for it!" ~ Saruman

    "Saruman! Your staff is broken!"

I watched the Extended Version of LOTH: Return of the King

and the deleted scens and I have NEVER seen this before

So EPIC!!! <3 thanks for sharing this

  • haha why the fuck would they leave this out? inportant scene much..

  • how could you have a conversation from all the way up there lol

  • thing is, LOTR is so magnificently written, that even three fat Kiwis wouldn't wreck the story - even though they tried. And, it it wasn't for Christopher Lee, the film would have been much weaker.

  • ...what words did you give the halfling...before you sent him to his DOOM! .Saruman...your staff . is. broken. !

  • This scene is so much more creepy and weird in the book, its great! I love the films but they aren't shit on the book! :P

  • It's good this wasn't in the movie - up until the backstabbing it was true, but that ruined it, Saruman met his fate in Bag End not Orthanc

  • Wow and all these years I wondered what happened to Saruman Holy shit they totally fucked this one up by deleting this scene.

  • @iMyThlc This isn't what really happened to him. Read the books and find out.

  • @bgatz008 He got killed in the shire.

  • @iMyThlc Oh you were wondering what happened in the movie... Well now you know.

  • @bgatz008 Yeah After seeing this, I went and bought the extended trilogy collection on blu ray for 80 dollars. hehe

  • Meh. I wish they had included the entirety, or at least most of Saruman's Voice, in the movies. It's such a powerful chapter that shows Tolkien's best character work. Fireballs do not make a good substitute for it.

  • SPLAT

  • "The Enemy moves against us; we need to know where he will strike."

Um... in the book, Gandalf knew enough about strategy to know it's OBVIOUSLY going to be Minas Tirith. Look at the map; there's no other way to lead an enormous army from Mordor to Rivendell and the Grey Havens (which are Sauron's primary objective, lest the elves all sail away). Facepalm.

  • how is it possible for them to hear each other when they speak so low

  • @ALiGPK47 lol I was just thinking the same XD

  • In the book this scene actually happens in the shire, surrounded by hobbit archers and stuff.

  • They unintentionally made the timing of his implaing hilarious. I can't watch it without laughing.

  • how the fuck can you even get up there ^^ anyway nice scene <3

  • how they can hear each other???

  • 5:13 ouuusschh

  • is this and all the other deleted scenes in the extended trilogy box?

  • @DeadThouusand I direct you to Google. It's a simple website where you type in something you want to search. If it's a question, you will normally find an answer.

  • @bgatz008 dick.

  • @DeadThouusand It's faster than coming here and asking.

  • @bgatz008

    prick.

  • @TJPinoy Damn I'm really hurt. Let me go cry in a corner and cut my wrist.

  • @bgatz008

Huh? I was just thinking of a rhyme to dick.

  • @TJPinoy Than why reply to mine? Why not his.

  • oh look he can fly!! :D :D ...

    oh wait... damn

  • In searching ALL OVER the net, I have not seen ANYONE ask this question, so I guess I'll be the one. How could they so easily hold a conversation with such a distance (probably a couple hundred stories) between them?

  • @metal134 Magic... Movie magic.

  • @metal134 Saruman had a voice spell that he could use that would hypnotize and mesmerize almost anyone and everyone. It did not work this instance because Gandalf had gotten so much stronger after his encounter with the Belrog and his new power prevented Saruman from being overly influential on the others as well as himself.

  • @metal134

    LOL Watch Naruto. x3

  • Why did Legolas shoot Grima?

  • This is the best and one vital scene. It explains the 'disappearance of Saruman' and everything on why the Witch King becomes the new leader.

  • spectacular!

peter jackson excluded because this scene?

it is not part of the return of the king ... always wanted to know the end of Saruman and Wormtongue.

  • They could not have chosen a better actor for Saruman

  • @cHeStEr5434 Christopher Lee

  • @Tharandomgamerz Yeah he's great

  • i thought he was going to say trololololo

  • With regard to Theoden, Saruman does have a point.

  • I think that this wasn't in the normal version because nothing feels realistic, in fact it looks stupid!!! Only action side of things... Just the fact that there is a nice solid thud when suruman lands, and the back stabbing wasn't very well done, I think all in all it was only in the extended edition because because of how poorly it was done...

  • I had enough of this! SHOOT HIM! STICK AN ARROW INTO HIS GOB! LOL

  • It is not deleted scene in the extended version ;)

  • this IS deleted...>.>

    real fan...

i cant bear to watch this movie thats not extended

peter jackson filmed the unfilmable film after all ;3

  • I can understand for certain moments in the scene why they wanted to leave it out... but I think it's a big gap in the movie when everyone's wondering what the heck happened to sarumon... or how they never at least confronted him or talked to him in the movie. So I wish they at least took this scene, maybe changed what they didn't like of course... and still include it

  • saruman died LOL!

  • why do they cut the best parts? ts so uncool

  • In the book, Saruman and Grima's fate is different. After Sauron is defeated, they escape to the Shire and take it over. When Frodo and his friends return, the hobbits rise up in rebellion and take back the Shire. Saruman is killed by Grima and then Grima is killled by hobbit archers as he tries to flee.

Now a hobbit rebellion against Saruman would have been a good scene toward the end of the movie. I'd want to see that. The hobbits always seemed so pacifist. ;)

  • Why did they delete the scene to show how the Sauruman dies.. That's what you always want grrr! >:(

  • WHY did Legoles kill that guy? wasn't he like turning good and trying to avenge his wrong doings? so confused -_-

  • @erzan Hmm. I so hated Grima in the 2nd one, but at this part I began liking him and Legolas killed him (only time i got pissed at Legolas). I think he killed Grima because Saruman was about to give them vital info, when Grima killed him.

  • Awesome, still different from the books.

  • i liked this scene but the transition over to treebeard was sorta lame

  • Fucking sick! Lord of the rings is THE BEST!!!!!!!!!

  • good editing!

  • but they both dont die until the very end of the books when the hobbits go back to hobbiton then saruman and grima cut down all the trees and burn shit and thats when sam gets to use his gift

  • @MrIncredijoe Yea, for some reason Sam's gift wasn't in the movie. Along with Boromir's gift. And Merry's. And Pippin's. And Legolas's. They did use Frodo's, Aragorn's and Gimli's, though.

  • lol

  • this isn't a deleted scene

thumbs up so everyone can see

  • @MrNorbo95 301! I'm hoping for 400 by the end of the year.

  • @MrNorbo95 It is a deleted scene, it's only in the extended version of the film, not the theatrical cut.

  • @MrNorbo95 Your'e correct but it is only on the extended edition not the normal edition

  • @MrNorbo95 its actually only in the extended edition so technically it is

  • @MrNorbo95 This does not show up in the regular version of the Two Towers

  • @MrNorbo95 Really? I don't remember this happening on the DVD I watched. I believe Pippin saw something glowing in the water after Barkbeard says the filth of Saruman is washing away. I was very confused about what exactly had happened to Saruman through the rest of the movie. Nice try though.

  • @gamerlayne Its treebeard, not barkbeard dumbass -.- and you have the shit, non-extended edition then, where Sarumans death isn't explained.

  • @MrNorbo95 Well fucking his beard is made out of bark so, eeeh.

  • @gamerlayne You fucked his beard? Dude!

  • @MrNorbo95

    yes it is

  • @micaelakolker6 nope its in extended edition

  • It's not deleted. It's in the extended version.

  • Dumbeldore looks so cool on a horse.

  • @Asasasadadadada thats gandalf...

  • @Asasasadadadada Retard, his name is Gandalf (unless that was a joke, because I cannot see any exclamation mark or any other form of smiley face or anything)

  • What about the palantir???

  • @anapanasati1970 In the next scene Pippin goes over to pick it up, and Gandalf takes it from him.

  • Well, that was unpleasant.

  • Why did they kill griima?

  • @richmanjack - Because Saruman had information.

  • @mattsson20

    I see...

  • Trolololololo lololololoooooo

  • @GjDoctorWho :DD ya I watched it 5 minutes before this :DD

  • anyone find a parallel between saruman's monologue to gandalf and voldemort's to harry at the end of the seventh book?

  • they ruined the book with this scene. i'm happy with that they deleted this scene.

  • @Chivalry94 1 i watched the normal return of the king today not the extended and this scene was in it so it isnt really deleted and 2 how did this ruin the book it was a good scene

  • @candlejack101

Being a good scene doesnt make it true.

  • Saruman is really Count Dooku the Sith Lord!

  • Comment removed

  • Saruman still falling on the spike is funny and I love the hobbits reaction can't remember their names

  • why do they say its a deleted seen....ive fuking seen that scene in the movie

  • @John0fusion then you have seen the directors edition

  • The ending from the book was so much better. This is a disgrace.

  • How the fuck did Grima get up there? :L

  • @theguycalledchris rad the books -.-

  • @crowpaw48 I have 'rad the books', and Saruman doesn;t die like this: He escapes from Isengard and wages war against the Shire before Frodo and co get back,

  • @theguycalledchris yeah seriously wtf how did he get up there

  • @theguycalledchris He's magic duhhh

  • what was saruman talking about when he said something festers in the heart of middle earth?

  • @Keybearofflame

The humans that that will fight for Mordor.

  • @gv1955 what makes you say that if you mind me asking.

  • @Arathain

    Battle of the Morannon

    Harad - Human nation

    Rhûn - Human nation

    They fought for Mordor.

  • What is Saruman referring to when he mentions that "Something is festering in Middle-Earth, something you have failed to see" ?

  • @Arathain read the Book, and you'll understand ;) (BTW, this Saruman's death does not appear in the Book).

  • @pabloOI208 Indeed, in the books Saruman's throath was slit by Wormtongue.

  • Hahaha at 5:06 The most epic fall with the most abrupt landing.

  • *waiting for spash*

    OH SHIT!

  • @joshbrelly1 dont copy comments.

  • @IhearaHunter117 Don't infringe on Copyrights.

  • Christopher Lee has an awesome voice and was rightly pissed when this scene was left out of ROTK.

  • yeah wormtongue kills him, but not till later in the shire. This is a pretty good scene to have and not include all the story of the shire at the end of the return of the king.

  • The voice is sooooooo AWESOME!!

  • This is why I have a love/hate relationship with the LOTR, that was really a cool scene, all of the movies are really cool, but how the hell are they on top of that tower which is so tall and are talking to him so quietly. The whole series is full of stuff like that. What sucks about the extended cuts for all 3 movies is they put absolutely everything back in. They need to release a new logical extended cut that keeps scenes like this one, but excludes like the funeral scene in the 2nd.

  • why the hell on middle earth did they delete that scene

  • @Braddles5000 They didnt its part of the lotr extended edition where you can see billions of deleted scenes

  • @Braddles5000 this is NOT a deleted scene, this is a EXTENDED scene. So many peaple make videos with "deleted scenes".

  • @Braddles5000 Because it completley contradicts the book on every single level

  • @colotron >Implying movies never contradict the books

  • @bgatz008 This was just ridiculous though.

Saruman still had a huge part to play in the tale which was completeley cut from the movie.

  • @colotron Yea. But the ending was different so there was no point in taking this out.

  • @Braddles5000 I think it was a bit too gory

  • @Braddles5000 each movie was the exact run time allowed in theaters, you should pick up the extended version

  • @Braddles5000

It wasn't deleted, it's actually a new scene from the extended edition of ROTK.

  • @aerogun18 *Looks at upload date* I don't think it's new.

  • @Braddles5000

probably because it didn't go like this in the book.

  • The Voice of Saruman is my favorite chapter in the book. You actually get to see how good Saruman is with words before his descent and defeat, and it plays beautifully.

The movies were awesome, but damn I was disappointed THAT part was cut.

  • how could they delete this scene!!!

  • At first the dialog follows the book very closely in this scene but, then takes too much liberty to be used in the film.

This is not how Saruman and Grimma die although Grimma does stab Saruman to death befor he is killed.

I think if they would have played this particular scene to the book it would have come off very well.

I realize they had to cut alot of time off the finished movie but, I still wish we could see every bit of film shot befor editing.

  • Christopher Lee'nin sesi acayip harika :) gandalf saçmalığından daha görkemli =D

I like that Christopher Lee speaks strongly ...

"Save your pity and you mercy..I have no use for it...."

  • i didnt know that wormtounge killed him

  • 1:28 lol gandalf should of replyed "Huh my rods much much bigger."

  • @Beth7400 But also, what brilliant tales he would have told if he had gone into detail of the songs! It would have made the lore even richer than it already is. This argument could go either way, each has pros and cons. I don't really remember any stories told in depth (I could be wrong) but if he would of had an even amount of both it would have been brilliant.

  • @Beth7400 Well, would your rather a 20 page story, or a song that summed up the events and about a page?

  • @Beth7400 The music is one of the things makes the lore so great. And all of that information that you can't get just watching the movies. I mean the endings are completely different. But opinions are opinions.

  • wow something thats not in the book who would have thought

  • kinda cheap effects

  • @chromezinc The filming for this movie started in 2002. The effects aren't going to be fantastic.

  • @bgatz008 even then they are quite good. LOTR is amazing!!

  • @bruzice The movies are pretty good, although I like the books better. Most people do who have read them.

  • @bgatz008 Yea I have read them too!! I am a big book person and In a history almost never has there been a movie thats been better then the book. So i have always prefered the books. But LOTR does a great book to screen adaption :)

  • Too many cool voices talking in one scene....my ears cant handle it.

  • in the book, saruman flees to the shire and takes control there right?

  • @khisrow456 Yep :) under the name "Sharky" if i remember correctly.

  • where did theodin come from

  • Saruman - total diva.

  • in the book saruman isn't killed untill the third book, there in the shire towards the end of the book and just like in this scene grima stabs saruman but it is one of frodos cousons that shoots him not legolas

  • @williampingpong ahem, he was killed in book six

  • love this scene don't realy understand why they deleted it :/

  • what does saruman mean about the thing festering in middle earth??

  • @thetopherhaslanded He is referring to the Army of the Dead. Sauron knows it is the only way that the Free People can defeat him, that is why he is "pressing" his advantage. The sooner he moves to strike the less chance there is that they can use this power.

  • Gandalf had a bubble.. so undfair..

  • This whole scene is really messy :S

The editing is weird and they jump from conversation to conversation.

  • @HelloStrangerLOTRmsn

Which is why I made an edited version and uploaded it.

  • @Hermoor you must remember that if this scene was cut out there would be no editing thats why the scene doesnt feel right theres no music or LotR movie feelings :)

  • they should have added a echoing effect to gandalf theoden and saurmans voice and the scene would look better. And what is up with all the close ups, sure two or three. But some wide shots showing both parties talking to eachother wouldn't hurt. The tower is TALL...one wide show with echoing voices would fix this scene.

  • Legolas kills him in a too late attempt to save the life of Saruman

  • legolas shouldn't have killed him, it was too late for saruman anyways

  • why does legolas kill grima? i thought grima did a good dead and killed saruman

  • i wish there had been a big ass battle between saruman and gandalf :/

  • I've never understood why Legolas shot Grima. Theoden wants him to be free of Saruman and come down to rejoin him and Rohan, Grima then becomes free when Saruman hits him and takes his revenge at Saruman at last, then Legolas kills him?

    ????????

  • ...how can they hear him from all the way up there

  • @lilbig8543 magic

  • Why didn't gandalf asked of all those things (keys and stuff) + information?
