@DjBmNukez This is what I am talking about, but I think this happens only on windows 7. I was previously using windows XP and had no problems, so I think the problem is because of windows 7.

@DjBmNukez For what reason? Visual basic has so many things that are not found in vb6. Also, it has a smart AI kind of that can autocomplete for you which can be very useful for noobs of visual basic. If you have any good reason, please reply. Thanx

@Gameshacker15932 The need of VB6 today is to have the ability to work on those old projects which are still need to be maintained from time to time.

Look at the news paper you will see that there is still requests for programmers who works in very old environments like Cobol or prologue.

Also, at some places they still teach those about VB6 (I don't know the reason) So there are a lot of students who needs that.

You might be using the Portable Version,now thats the problem.

Try use a real 400mb+ version of Visual basic 6 and you will got no error

I got the same error first so I tried a Full Version not Portable one.Portable one is missing alot of things thats why it crashes.

Since I have only one problem in components.

actually you can create .exe in this portable version. after you finish your project, click on the file menu -> make project1.exe assuming that the project name is project1. I have a complete registered version but for some reason the compiler is missing so I can't make an exe. I had to download this one for that one purpose. thank you strider196. it's very nice of you to share this. :)

Microsoft Security Essentials doesn't detect it as a virus for two reasons. 1. Because MSE is awesome and detects alot of stuff. 2. MICROSOFT MADE IT AND SECURITY ESSENTIALS SO IT WONT BE A VIRUS! Hope i cleared that up
