I love the story of Tales of Symphonia. I'm not really that hardcore and good when it comes to combos. But i love watching others owning at the game :D I think i have like 85 combo with all four members co working xD

@boredtodeath55 I learned that like a day later after I asked. xp So basically when it comes to comboing with Hi-Ougi Kratos is superior since Zelos needs to be in Overlimit and Dieing while Kratos needs the Title and dieing. But just regular comboing both of them can do more or less the same? Because that's what it looks like to me.

@boredtodeath55 I was talking about Shining Bind when I talked about the dieing requirement :P But I did learn about how apparently one or two skills link better with either Kratos or Zelos. I think if Divine Judgment was instant like Shining Bind, then Zelos could use it at the end of the combo instead of the beginning and do a combo similar to Kratos. But oh well I don't really care much since I like both too much and not like I'd be doing those in the GC version anyway x3

@Gvuz Yes I kno u were talking bout shining bind, but it doesn't matter for Zelos. He doesn't have to b dying to use either of hi hi ougis, only in overlimit. Only Kratos has to be dying

@boredtodeath55 Not the way I had read it in all FAQs and vid descriptions. Plus every vid I have seen in the past, he does Shining Bind while Overlimit AND dying. Divine Judgment is the one that only needs Overlimit. DOTNW is a whole different story of course.

@Gvuz that IS true so i cant complain... I guess im only basing it on instincts since I think divine judgement is stronger... I mean the only reason to make zelos low hp to use shining bind is becuz he can use it right away... But in my value equation it just doesn't seem to be right to make it that way

@boredtodeath55 Hehe both Hi Ougis are too cool :p Is it just me, or does Aerial Spell work better in the PS2 version? I can only make it work after doing an up slash but not when I slash as I come down like their vids show. Some skills seem to somewhat link better too but that just may be me.

@boredtodeath55 Meh for some reason Aerial Spell doesn't work for me as good as here. And the GC vids people always use it right after the up-slash and not while while the descending slash like I see in the PS2 vids. So I really think it works better on the PS2 but I will never find out since I dont have it and dont plan on getting it :p

After seeing both videos...

Kratos > Zelos

Divine Judgment added a lot of filler hits to Zelos' combo, hell, 10 hits more than Shining Bind, and yet it still fell 14 hit short of Kratos' combo.

And to those who think Zelos is superior in battle.

Some of Zelos' normal attacks are a little faster than some of Kratos', but the difference isn't really major. Also, Kratos' sword swings cover more distance than Zelos' and can help protect his sides and back while facing multiple enemies. That's it

to clear up how he manages to pull out two mid level spells like that:

he had already had thunder blade spell saved before he began charging air thrust. he got into his combo at the end of air thrust and the game deployed thunder blade at the end of his combo

it has nothing to do with aerial spell. aerial spell just lets you cast novice spells in mid air =]

It's called Spell Save, you can cancel the save and there's one more EX skill he has which is call Sky Cast or something I forgot which allows you to cast a spell in the air. But you have to gain the EX skill.

kratos's combo is better i usually do similar stuff with zelos (don't have kratos back yet) but i only charge air blade 2 hit lightning unleash airblade usually have my sister using presea to keep my combo going

Thunder Blade was Spell Charged, Stone blast, Fire ball, and wind blade were used by Aerial spell. Spell Charge and Aerial Spell are EX skills check Gamefaqs for the combination.

He spell charged it when you charge a spell after the end of a combo the spell you charged activates.

he's not .. he only charged Thunder blade.

At the beginning he was casting wind blade ( i think ... its been a while since i've played ) .. as soon as he cast it , he start attacking .. the fire balls and stone blasts are done thanks to Aerial spell , which lets you cast any lvl 1 spell as long as you are in the air.

IIRC, Kratos's Shining Bind works like Lloyd's Tenshou Souhazan. But he only has one Hi-Ougi. <_<
