NO WAY! Kite Runner was WAY better than 1000 Suns. I loved them both but maybe the Kite Runner appeals to men more and 1000 Suns appeals to women more? I don't know.

I guess just 1000 Suns made me cry...it was more touching then Kite Runner. To me 1000 suns was more descriptive.

You're right: 1000 Suns was a tear-jerker throughout. Kite Runner kept you in tension until the last chapter where you pretty much let the water works go. two totally different books but both great.
