  • Whats this song?

  • @Gravelgutband it's called "I Know What I Like (in you wardrobe)"

  • Good thing Peter wasn't there.

  • And sadly poor Philip does not want to be Phil anymore. Read his latest RS interview if you haven't. It's F'n heartbreaking.

  • @cranie4 I heard about that too. He even told his girlfriend to call him Philip. I've seen his latest interviews and he's more serious than usual. Celebrities are a funny bunch!

  • @cranie4 Where is this interview?

  • @sofyss2001 Rolling Stone Magazine from about 5 months back or so.

  • phil is be so crazy but thats why he is the best drummer & 1 of the best song writers

  • after the concert, mike hit phil in the head with his guitar

  • assolutamente troppo simpatici, tutt'e due!!!

  • You gotta love Phil!

  • LOL!

  • are they gay? i don't mean that in a mean/bad way, i love genesis but i notice they do stuff like that and get super close and smile at each other a lot when they play live. kinda weird, but hey to each his own.

  • @kingcrimson234 No, they are only friends

  • its called friendship

  • lol i have that concert on dvd. i think it was called "Genesis live in london 1980"

  • was phil high or wasted?? lol. love genesis.XD

  • @freiheitsalv I have REAL suspects that Phill was really very high that night. I have the dvd from where proggernaut cut this part, and, in the interludes, it was really tought for Phil to speak clear. During the songs, he was duro as a stone

  • @Mutsusho that would be funny to see....hhahaha

  • That's pretty obnoxious, actually. All in good spirit, I suppose.

  • Phils quite a character. I prefer him over gabriel, even though i like him to.

  • I think Phil is a stud for even trying to fill Gabe's shoes... And he did it quite nicely! Didn't try to be Gabby he just did it his own way and won the world over...

  • @bearhead3 Also, when they briefly reunited in 1982, Peter's voice was quite bad for the old songs imho... they should have done more arrangements.

  • @MoonchildMindaugas2 You know mooney, (may I call you mooney?) I would just love to hear it even if it was out of tune on a toy piano.. I just don't care. Sometimes emotion and love transcend bad tuning.... :) I love music.

  • @bearhead3 Yes, indeed. but I'm just honest.

  • @bearhead3 sure :)

  • poor mike LOL

  • I think that when Phil became the singer, Genesis still had great stage presence, even without Peter's costumes.

  • Why is Robin Williams singing there??? :D

  • LOL. I always thought those 2 guys looked the same

  • LOL

  • @iuricastro22 And duetting with Jesus too!

  • is this why you are watching his video???

  • yep

  • Dude, WTF?

  • He probably deserved it.

  • Not exactly hilarious.

  • oh my god, poor mike

  • Hee hee hee... Serves him right. I mean, what did he expect when he walked up to Phil?

  • gosh, this doesn't hurt at all. and i know it by own experience with tambourines etc.

  • He looks like Jesus.

  • You've seen Jesus?

  • Jesus is my homie.

  • Abuse against a gentle giant who could easily put a double necked instrument up his arse. But love each other a whole lot. And, by the way, Mike there looks a lot like the Christ of the Holly Shroud Of Turin... Take care, God bless...

  • poor mike :(

  • Haha he loves it!

  • I have the whole concert and I think that Phil was drugged that night

  • What concert is it? And where can i get it?

  • funny bit

  • mike is was and ever will be an exceptional guy.

  • Owie! : )

  • "quepasacony" is a sound two men make when they're passionately bonking each other in a back alley.

  • lol

    thats awesome

  • did you know that by own experience?

  • Listen to Genesis from the 70's and Generation X and tell me that he's not as amazing if not more amazing than Bill Bruford... Come on. You must know very little about music and musical form.

  • Yeah - Before he retired into DisneyWorld he was a ridiculous drummer ESPECIALLY with BrandX

  • Yeah ,Brand X was stunning

  • Phil doesn't hate Mike. Look at the band photos over the years. There's a genuine warmth between them.

Besides, they've been the rhythm section since 1970.

  • Ha ha... that was funny!

  • Damn Phil IS a Bitch

  • I wonder if Phil secretly hated Mike. I mean..he hit him really hard. I know they supposedly never did drugs but they seem kinda high in this show. Just look at Mike smiling..LOL

  • True, but Mike is a very smiley person, especially when doing fun things like that in performances. Just check out some of their concerts on DVD's.

And besides, Phil has a great sense of humor (and so does Mike), so it would figure they would do something like that.

They're so funny... AND fantastically talented! Gotta love these guys!!! ^_^

  • And it's just a tambourine.

You can't really do too much damage.

  • @MrCharles411

Well, looks like it gets Mike going even more XD

  • @MrCharles411 Depends on how you hit and what it's made out of. If it has a skin on it (not all of them do) and you hit in the center then it's harmless. I almost got knocked out in band class when a kid got mad and hit me in the head with one, though.

  • Actually, Phil has admitted to doing the ganja, especially during the Lamb tour.

I have the old book "I know what I like" by Armando Gallo and a few of the photos in there make me think that everyone (Except Gabriel, who only ate hashish once and hated it) indulged from time to time. It's all in the eyes...haha!

  • Hahaha! I hope Mike kicked Phil's ass after the show (not really, but that would be pretty funny).

  • @ slouby103: The song is "I Know What I Like (In Your Wardrobe)" from the Genesis-album "Selling England by the Pound", that was released in 1973.

  • thx soo much for all!!!!

  • hello i search the title of this song.....thank you so much

  • lol

  • I knew Phil was always a little crazy, but, Mike took it in good humor! It's pretty cool that he can be hit on the head with a tambourine AND play double-neck at the same time! You can see a big smile on his face too at the end of it, if you look closely.

  • brand x

  • fuckin phill whats the matter with the great mike

  • that's gotta hurt

  • That's really mean....It probably got to hurt too....

  • collins is a great singer, no doubt about that. it s just a matter of common sense. If it wasn't so, he wouldn't have had such a great success in his solo carreer

  • poor

  • I know this is going to sound wierd, but doesn't Mike Rutherford look just like the image of Jesus on the Shroud of Turin??

  • XD that was awsome

  • Mike Was hit because of he is a bad guitarist. Despite that, he's a great bass player.

  • FINALLY someone agrees with me!

  • he does indeed - although the shroud has been proven a fake Mike is a solid enough strings man though

  • Agreed! Mike is a perfectly competent guitarist, but a much better bassist. I almost wish he hadn't made the switch.

  • hahaha looooool

  • mike is so cool. he looks giant next to phil

by the way, you really need to change the video title.

  • I dissent. I liked this old title.

  • I would have been like "Phill, if you hit me one more time with that, the fans are going to really see a show as I pummel you with my Rickenbacker now get back there on the drums befor the rest of your hair falls out".I'll bet Phill would have a new appreciation for Mike. He he he he.

  • At least its not as bad as "Phil Collins Gives Birth To Himself". Funny video though!

  • what an alloy

  • The band is dumb for not releasing the whole show, I mean they taped two nights and both have been in circulation for yeaaaars. Surely the DVD could store more information. Very dissapointed in that Box Set release.

  • Phil used to be cool until 1986.

He cant grow his hair long, he should grow his beard again. Phil with his beard freaking out reminds me of Gord Downie freaking out in 92/93.

  • That would be pretty cool if phil grew back his beard and mike for that matter.

  • hahahaha.... Phil is totally crazy, but I love him.

  • the title of this video is oddly suggestive...haha great vid!

  • I'm so glad I wasn't the only one who thought that. XD

  • Haha! I love it! Cracks me up every time. :D

It's so awesome how Mike doesn't miss a beat or a note at any moment! What a good sport. :)

  • No doubt. I'd have been greatly irritated.

  • lol.. very very strange stuff.. BUT if they know from eachother how far they can go its ok i guess ;)

  • poor mike.. at least he found it funny

  • :D agreed

  • sempre peggio.

  • is this footage by any chance from the dvd just released on amazon of genesis in london in 1980?
