  • @TheHecTicEmpire depends on what other components you have in your pc but I would go like 650

  • @TheHecTicEmpire yes if you have a 6 pin connector but make sure you have enough amps on the 12 v rail, minimum for 1 card would be about 24 amps,

  • @TheHecTicEmpire shouldnt be a problem at all, I have used single gtx560(non ti) on my 520W psu.

  • @TheHecTicEmpire

Sure,my GTX 560 work on my 500w(pure power) PSU

  • @TheHecTicEmpire it does it works well on my 400W one too

  • @TheHecTicEmpire It requires at the minimum a 400W PSU so you should do fine.

  • this card..or hd6770

  • i have a hd 6770 i can only play on low settings with 60 fps

  • @stace655 Lol I have a 4250 mobility in my laptop and run games at 60 on low.

  • Holy && that's big!! Nevertheless, I'll be getting one soon.

  • I got this and its way bigger than I thought

  • @pivotdeadking It is quite big I got mine a few weeks ago but it turned out my old Gigabyte motherboard couldn't handle it so I had to buy a new mother board a new power supply 4GB RAM and Quad Core AMD which can also be enabled to be 6 Core.

So it's almost a new computer which I have.

  • I love my VGA :D !!

  • thanks youtube for adding a funny noice when people like my comments

  • @bf2kkk yes !!!(1366 768)

  • @bf2kkk I have this exact same card and I can run BF3 in 1080p at around Highish settings, I customized my own. You might want to replace that CPU, BF3 runs nicely with a good i5 which I use along with the Asus Geforce card.

  • j'ai acheter cette carte graphique et je joue a batlle field 4 ultra tout les reglage a fond et elle tourne très bien le jeu est fluide donc je vous la conseil meme je vous conseil de en monter deux dans votre pc

  • @GreenskinHolland i have the EVGA gtx 550ti and i can run skyrim, the old republic, assassins creed revelations, and starcraft 2 at the max settings with 40+ fps on skyrim and like 50-60 fps on everything else

  • @FiremenRideUnicorns Bullshit i'm running skyrim on max with 20-30fps with a KFA2 550ti core clock 1200ghz.. so stop with the lies

  • @robbewuzhere 0n what 1600 by 900?

  • so if i buy gtx 550 ti or GTX 460 its same? any suggestions?

  • @thesportstv1 460>550ti

  • erm is the asus gtx 550ti or the msi gtx 550ti better for overclocking?

  • @Decalto35 asus is better then msi, nuff said

  • someone please respond

Should i get the 460 or 550 ti and which has best value compared to price?

  • @macnerd1212

460s are hard to find and expensive these days. If you have $200/ £150, get a 560 (non ti), if you can't afford it, buy a 550

  • gtx 460 = most popular card EV-AR.

  • 2x GTX 550ti s.c better you can play any game on maxed out!

  • @FFF693 Ahhh, NO.

  • @ArcticInfinity xD SO 2xGTX 560 TI SLI :)

  • @FFF693 That shits beast. 460 SLI even more affordable than that and kick ass power close to if not beating 580.

  • Hey man is this card good for mid or high range gaming.

    I have a intel core duo e8400 3.00GHz

    4 GB of ram

  • @FBicoolshaman It's good for mid-range gaming. I suggest you get a GTX 560 ti if you can afford it. Best price to performance on nvidia's side.

  • @Zacccc51 thanks but this will fit in my pc

  • @FBicoolshaman nvidia GTS something. 6770. 550ti

  • ASUS web based automatic driver update only deals with motherboards. Manual search doesn't list the 550 Ti. However, Google does list the page.

The download tab for the 550 Ti lists the 550 driver, when I try install it it says the driver doesn't match the vbios.

Installing updated nvidia drivers disables the asus enhanced driver overclocking features. The asus drivers also cause BSOD for some people (at normal speed). The NVIDIA one works just fine but slower obviously.

  • This guy reminds me of Garth

  • i love this graphics card.

  • Should I get this version or the msi cyclone

  • jesus SHIT how big are these cards gonna get

i swear if RAM cards end up getting as massive as these, motherboards with 4 RAM slots are gonna need to be fucking HUGE, then we'll need bigger cases

eventually the "desktop PC" is gonna be exactly that... the size of an entire desktop O.o

  • gosh man Asus makes some sexy lookin cards

  • Paul you skuxx muffin ;] , should do more reviews XD

  • gts 450

  • Compusa.com The Asus GtX 550 comes with Dungeon Siege 3 + Nvidia Bundle "Just Cause 2" AND "Mafia 2." with a rebate come on $132.99- $20 +$ 4 bucks shipping. cant beat that...

Who cares if it's not top of the line...performance will be argued forever. I'll buy a new card in a year. I'll save $ now and have fun, with $ saved I'll put it towards a new card for the future.

  • I have a GTX 560...Can we do an overclock guide for that please?

  • GTx550ti is a great budget card, motherboarddotorg runned a test with 2x 550GTX TI with full graphic and they gotted same result as the gtx 590.

  • I personally use this card and it runs any game to date! on maxed out settings!

  • That would be better than a 460 by quite a bit.

  • Guys. Just to clarify.

Just because a graphics card has a higher number does NOT mean the higher number is better. Sure the 550 TI is newer than the GTX 460 but the GTX 460 is a better card.

First digit is the family. Higher number (at least for now) means a newer family.

The second and third digits represent what card in the family. The higher the number the better.

    Soo... a 480 is better than a 530.

A GTX 460 is better than a GTX 550 TI.

  • @ILiveForMusic11 what about two GTX 550 Ti's running in SLI?

  • @ILiveForMusic11 Thank You I got very confused when i found out that the 480 was more expensive then the 550. NVIDIA and other consumer electronic companies need to make it clear what their product numbers mean.

  • @TechTubeCentral Yeah it's kind of confusing. To be sure always google the card and compare it's performance to another you're thinking of. For instance "GTX 460 vs GTX 550 TI" would come up with benchmarks and forum discussions about the two. Normally this can help you decide. If all else fails join a computer forum and ask questions. : )

  • @ILiveForMusic11 Just to point out....460 only beats 550 Ti is by quality.....but the 2 cards has the same performance. Why do u think Nvidia pushed out the 500 series? Cause the AMD Radeon Series was killing the 400 series by performance. In the 500 series, Nvidia pushed up the performance by 20-30% over the previous generation.

  • @ruplealexander If you would check the specs and benchmarks vs the two cards the GTX 460 is a better card in almost all respects. As for the increase in performance yes they did. The equivalent in the 500 series for the 460 is the 560, not the 550 ti. I'm not trying to troll or start a flame war. The 460 is more of a gaming card than the 550 ti, even if it is older.

  • @ILiveForMusic11 question? Do u know the difference between quality and performance? Fact: Do u know the 560 is a half of a GPU to the 590? 560 is not equivalent to the 460, cause they use different 2 PCB boards. As a matter of fact....560 is the water down version of the 560 Ti.....Quality is the visuals and Performance is the action of the visuals. and now...how did I figure that the 550 Ti has the same performance as 460 1gb.....I tested my PC..and performance stayed the same.

  • @ruplealexander Yes I did know that. What I'm try to say is that the same level of card in the 500 series that the same level of card from the 400 series is the 460 and the 560. The 560 is definitely a better card than the 460. I kind of said that wrong. The new "version" of the 460 is the 560. But the 560 has better performance. I don't know exactly how to word what I'm saying.

  • @ruplealexander You are not going to see a whole lot of difference because the actual framerate difference between the 2 is about 5-15 but almost all benchmarks show that the 460 does have better frames. If you want more bang for your buck go for 550 TI as the 460 keeps climbing in price. That contradicts what I said before but the 460 keeps getting more expensive.

  • @ILiveForMusic11 What you just explained is quality.....It all depends on your CPU, RAM, OS and motherboard plays an important role on your video card for performance....Let's compare a single core with the 460 vs dual core with 460......which one will give out more performance? Answer: dual core with 460. Why? multiple core has always increase performance.

  • @ruplealexander Yes I know this. What are you trying to prove?

  • @ILiveForMusic11 That people should not only look for performance but for quality as well, my friend. You can have one of fastest video card in the world but it could choking on the graphics or the card could die on you within a few months. I'm not saying to this to piss you off. You remember when Nvidia laptop video cards died in notebook that year? I'm a die hard Nvidia fan.

  • @ruplealexander Oh well yeah. You don't want to put a card like that in an old Pentium 4 computer. Your performance would suck because all your other components are bottlenecking and dragging down your performance. I see what you're doing. Sorry for sound rude. : ) I've used both Nvidia and ATI/AMD and I'm happy with both.

  • @ILiveForMusic11 I agree with you on that

  • @ILiveForMusic11 Yes, I test both 550Ti and 460(1gb version)...the scores of WEI, the gaming, and video quality never change.....So when u trying convince to me which is better....you should be asking me what are the other things that is pushing my performance besides the video card?

  • @ILiveForMusic11 thank you

  • @ILiveForMusic11 560ti is faster than a 470?

  • @JtGorospe90 Yes. The whole system is kinda screwy. Yes a 560ti is better than a 470. When in doubt check benchmarks.

  • The 550 Ti appears to be the new GTS 450, achieving exceptional quality for a low price. It won't produce the best performance, but it will allow a great performance with current age games. All without going over the budget. It has a lower power consumption compared to most GTX series cards, which have been known to be quite the power-hogs and heat generators. Overclocking has achieved illustrious speeds with little heat and noise generation.

No, it's not the best but it will get the job done.

  • @HaloModder555 I completely agree. I was looking at a Geforce 465 or Radeon 6850, both of which are better than 550. I settled on a Radeon 5770 which is below the 550 in performance and it still does everything I want it to do thus far. I'm not saying the 550 ti is bad. Just that the 460 is better. You make a good point.

  • @ILiveForMusic11 Good post.

A card in the 500 family that compares with the GTX460 is a GTX560. Don't get the regular 560 confused with the GTX560TI, which is equal to between a GTX470 and GTX480.

  • @shukiikuhs Yes. Thanks for explaining the difference between the TI and the normal. Never knew the difference.

  • @shukiikuhs Sure. If you're looking for a comparison, compare the 560TI with a (made up) GTX475.

  • @ILiveForMusic11 Really. The difernece between a 460 and a 550ti is about 4 ps across all modern games.

= the 460 cost an extra $30 more than a 550ti does therefore making the 550ti better in ALL WAYS.

  • @AshxGamingAndTuts I'm not taking the price of the cards into consideration. That comment was to clarify to many people that the higher model number doesn't mean a better card. Cost aside, the 460 is better. Factoring in cost, I think the 550 TI is definitely the way to go, but if you have the cash for a 460, get a 6850.

  • @ILiveForMusic11 wrong. A 550ti is cheaper and the 460 is better by a bit.

  • @StaticSkater I'm talking SPECIFICALLY, about performance. Price vs performance ratio. 550 ti is definitely a better choice. That post is also about a month old and the 460 keeps climbing in price so recommending a 460 at this point isn't a good idea.

  • @ILiveForMusic11 I actually got a gtx460 superclocked for 165.

  • @ILiveForMusic11 Good clarification. This card basically just replaces the GTS 450. This ins't a bad card but won't run everything on high with acceptable FPS.

  • @ILiveForMusic11 570 is better than the 480. 0_0

  • @NateN34 TROOLLLLOLOLOL

Haha yeah I was just doing it for the whole number comparison to make a point. You're right though.

  • @NateN34 Yes it it's. But if you overclock it it can be better then a 580.

  • @ILiveForMusic11 So an intel i3 is better than a i7 o.O???!!

  • @bogdanbocaful Haha what? Of course not.

  • this one or gts 450?

  • @shazaib4 got the gts 450 and i play all the call of duty's maxed out no lag:D

  • @Pollack007 Lmao id be worried if it didnt i have a stock 9800 gt and when i say stock stock i mean straight up from nvidia lmao. Anyways i run all the cods maxed out no lag -_- so the 550 ti

  • @shazaib4 GTX 460 or GTX 465

  • @shazaib4 this card is the same price as the gtx 460 so you might as well go with that

  • I don't know A LOT about computers, so excuse me if this sounds stupid, but what does "Fermi" mean?

  • @LividLobotomist - It's just Nvidia's processor architecture. Have a google.

  • All i care about my videocard is that it looks cool. so no need to explain the specs ;)

  • I got this video card at a car boot sale for only £60 :D

  • ASUS GeForce GTX 550 TI or Gigabyte GeForce GTX 460 SE

    What is better ?

  • @k5EldaR

    460

  • @k5EldaR Neither, save and get a 560

  • @k5EldaR asus gtx460 1gb direct cu

  • Can anyone tell me if I'm running 3 monitors what would be the cheepest video card the would work?

  • @Vgames98 any high performance card + GeForce G210 or some other cheap shit like that for output to 3rd monitor.

  • IS THIS A GOOD GRAPHICS CARD OR WAT FFS?!?! IT LOOKS GOOD ENOUGH TO ME YET ALL I CAN SEE IS BITCH BITCH BITCH ABOUT THIS THAT AND THE OTHER WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE?!>?!?!?! ITS A 550, SO ITS CLEARLY A CLASS AHEAD OF THE 460 OR THEY WOULDNT BOTHER CALLING IT A 550!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

  • @DUBZzDave How old are you? Grow up...

  • @o0oK1LLERo0o Why are you telling me to grow up you silly fool? i was clearly stating my frustration over the bitching of others and how they need to grow up.?!? are you you too idiotic to notice? If people were coming on here looking for knowledge and advice on what card to choose then god help them. What ever happened to straight forward answers. YES, the gtx 550 ti IS better than the 460, or vice versa.

  • @DUBZzDave

    /Caps

This a budget value card. The 460 is still more powerful.

  • Are the drivers better now? I was gonna buy this when it came out, but I always wait a couple weeks to be safe...

  • 550 ti 192-bit GTX 460 256-bit.. Nuff said.

  • @Caseyds620 That doesnt mean anything. The real-time performance is just better.

  • @Caseyds620 Its more expensive than the 460 but is not as good in performance obviously.

  • What is the power requirement for the GTX 550? Not necessarily the minimum, what would be the recommended PSU size? 450W? 600W? Thanks ;)

  • @BallisticTorch. Hey man, the GTX 550 needs a min of 450W.... plus one 6pin power adaptor as he shows at 4.40min.

  • @MMichael1024 Thanks for the response Michael, I appreciate it.

  • the 460 uses a lot more power idiots

  • @Caseyds620 Clock speed is NOT the real performance, just a performance factor

  • is intel core i3 2100 compatible with asus P8H61-M LE mother board

  • @nosrej666 yes but you should know this if you make your won computer

  • @Trillios

  • @rrgert4 no its not, this is about 25% better before any overclocking

  • @Capilee

    good good
