Edit: They were both irradiated, Snake on Bikini Atoll, and The Boss going into space. So the nuclear blast didn't affect them. I think she shot a nuke, but I'm not entirely sure.

I find it a very interesting way interpertating path of a soldier or a the path of a warrior. Warrior and soldier can either be the same thing or completely different. Depends how you look at it. I think the Boss voice-over was one of the best things in MGS3. It was deep, perfect for a woman that has seen so much combat, so much life and death, bitter, emotional, and you can feel the love for her "son" Jack.
