  • What Are Your Rendering Settings?

  • how did you use the glidetrack when doing a timelapse?

  • The best video I have come across so far. i want to buy a camera for a music video shoot i am not sure which one to buy canon 550d or 600? PLZ help me out.

  • @layakchesta Both have the same quality. Exact same cameras.. However.. The 600D has a flip-out screen AND manual audio control.. For only those 2 extra features which are VERY welcome for video.. You should get the 600D without a doubt.

  • @layakchesta Hi :D canon 550d and 600d are almoust same just 600d is new and he have some new features i recomande 600d cus i have 600d and hes working awesome PEACE :P

  • This is one of the greatest video I have seen of these camera model, I'm new at this thing of phtography and I'm still seeing foward to which camera to buy, I was between this one and the Nikon D3100, which one do you recommend the most? I know you have the canon, but why the canon? And another question, how do you took that video in that motion? How did you moved it so perfectly slow? Thanks and great video :)

  • Hey how do you take videos and slowly move the camera ? or do you do a something else to get that shot?

  • @patriciamarylaine08 Usually, you take the footage with the glidegame or a dolly of some sort, and then you slow it down in an editing program using twitor or other slow-motion programs

  • @patriciamarylaine08: It's done by a slider. The one used in this video is obviously the Glidetrack as the title suggests. His vidoes are awesome, he inspired me to try my own slider videos.

  • I'm going to Kenya next year and my parents wont let me buy a good camera!!!!!!! :((

  • what did you use to make the getting closer effect and the side to side effect.

  • @knightduke1022 if i understood your qn, i believe he is using a glidetrack to get the dolly shot left to right, forward as well as back, hence the word glidetrack; gliding on a track.

  • Fabulous, loved it!

  • your videos seem to have a better quality than most other videos shooted with the eos 550d or 600d. Do you think it is because of your lens which are better than the included 18-55, because of premiere, or the magic bullet looks?

    Please answer!

  • nice kam but not s0 gud vid 2/5

  • Amazing work, really.

I also have a t3i, and I would need some help with the rendering settings on Premiere Pro.

Could you please tell me what you used on Magic Bullets for Premiere Pro and what render settings you used? Your video is crystal-clear on 360p, it's amazing!

Great job, and keep up the good stuff!

    Judiction

  • Great !

What kind of glidetrack did you use ?

  • Great Video! Throw a little anti-aliasing on this one and it would clean it up tremendously. Great work!

  • Congratulations, great video! What kind of glidetrack did you use ? thanks :-)

  • Wow!!! What a gorgeous video..right on the edge of getting the T3i and it is videos like this that get me pumped and motivated to save the money..

  • Nice. :)

  • Really loved this video! I am thinking about picking up a 600D in September, and primarily use it for video. Should I get the stock Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 Mk II lens that comes with the camera for an extra £70 (£579) or would you recommend buying a different lens to get a better image? I dont really know my way around lens yet! ;D Thank you!

  • @LSpearingProductions The 50mm 1.8 is great for the price, start with that for sure

  • @jameswalt1 YOU MUST MAKE TUTORIAL !!!

  • Awesome stuff!

  • Like.

  • WOW! Amazing video! :) loved it

  • what export/render/compression settings do you use in premiere pro and the t2i?

  • where'd you get the glide track and how long is it?

  • Please Help! jameswalt1...I'm having trouble on deciding what camera to buy...the canon T3i or the 60D. I'm mainly going to use it for video and I don't know if its worth spending more money to buy the 60D, or just simply buying the T3i...please help.

  • @ivan6939 if you're going to be using it for video then absolutely go with the T3i - there's zero difference in image quality . Save the extra money for a nice lens!

  • @jameswalt1 Oh Ok Thank You So Much!!! and do you recommend me getting the Canon - 55-250mm f/4-5.6 Telephoto Zoom Lens???

  • @ivan6939 I dont have that lens, but from what I've researched it looks like a great lens if you're on a budget. In my opinion I think the Sigma 17-50 or Tamron 17-50 would be a much more ideal all-purpose lens. Above 50mm on a crop lens is very very zoomed in and not a good all-purpose lens.

  • @jameswalt1 Is it possible to buy lenses for the T3i that are not canon branded and work??? or does all the lenses i buy for it have to be canon lenses???

  • @ivan6939 Absolutely!!! The two lenses I own are not canon. I have a Tokina 11-16mm and a Sigma 50mm. Both are much better than a canon in the same price range.

  • @jameswalt1 Oh Ok...Well Thank YOu So much!!! You were a Big Help!!!

  • @ivan6939 did you found out already ? the 60d is better for photo like for sports and 600d is better for video, videoquality is the same on both cams , but 600d is more designed to do video practically. like cropmode available. the 60d will not give you a better videoquality while it is more expensive...but better photo results only.

  • Well I have tried the camera and 18-55 and 55-250 efs and have been thrilled with them. I have managed to get some beautiful shots. The 600D is a great camera.

  • How did you move the carriage on the glidetrack while timelapse capture? nice work.

  • @dozerhoontube no Glidetrack on that shot, just plain old panning within a 18 megapixel timelapse.

  • Will do, np

  • Let me know how you like the 55-250, I've heard good things about it and am thinking about getting it

  • @jameswalt1 if your talking about the canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS then i dont recommend it, its an alright lens to start with but if i was you i would get the 50mm f1.8 for $125 its one of the greatest lenses for the price! its very impressive, and i would also get the 28-135mm, if you want send me a message and i will send you a link to a seller on ebay who sells it for about 320 brand new

  • K bought a 600D with 18-55 lens and a 55-250 on it's way.

  • Do you use the digital zoom crop a lot? I am deciding between a 600d and 60d and the digital zoom crop for the 600 looks impressive. For my first camera I don't really want to spend the money for the 60d but is there a substantial difference to warrant it? I mainly want a dslr for when I can get into astrophotography.

  • @bluedragonis Honestly I don't believe in digital zoom, I think retaining the original resolution is really important. Also don't bother spending extra on the 60D, buy the 600D and a lens!

  • Truly beautiful,so envious of your skill. I am about to step I to the dslr arena and this is nothing but inspiration. One question, should I try to get a canon 600d with 18-55 lens or 18-135. Any reason why the 135 would be a no?

  • @bluedragonis Thanks! In regards to those two lenses, I'm honestly not sure. I know a lot of people are happy enough with the 18-55, but I myself went for the body only and bought the lenses separate. I currently have a Sigma 50mm 1.4 and the Tokina 11-16mm 2.8. I plan on getting a Canon 70-200mm and a Tamron 17-50mm.

  • Great video and very inspiring. Perfect soundtrack as well. Well executed timelapse. In your timelapse how do you move your Glidecam? What do you use for a motor/belt? Is it home grown diy?

  • @craigcapello1 Thanks for the kind words. Actually, neither. The time lapse photos were taken at 18mp and I just keyframed panning in after.

  • Sensational.

  • amazing brother

  • @Purchasedfb Thanks!

  • i ve bought a new 600d...18-135 kit

  • this is amazing, do you shoot flat style? are these clips shot both with t2i and t3i? Do you notice any color or difference in the quality of the t3i vs the t2i, is the t3i easier to work with because of the swivel screen?

  • @dothisdothat321 I only used T2i, the cameras are literally identical, except for the screen.

  • one word, Magical!

  • Fantastic work. Looks stunning in every scene. Instantly makes me want to go out and get myself a glidetrack! It creates a wonderfully cinematic feel with even just the smallest tracks.

  • @HandwrittenFilms Thanks!

  • wow , beautiful video . Love it !!

  • Simply beautiful!

  • please put any website i can by Glidetrack from it ?

  • @Brhoooom2009 Amazon, Ebay, I got mine from Adorama

  • @jameswalt1

thanks man .. i live in Saudi Arabia and some wesites do not shipping to Saudi Arabia ...

any way Is there a particular brand Which can be installed on Tripod ?

  • @Brhoooom2009 I believe they all have 3 tripod mounting points. I will say, the 1 meter requires two tripods to keep weight balanced.

  • @Brhoooom2009 Also, I got the 1 meter version

  • BEAUTIFUL walt! Nicely done <3 Amanda

  • Nice and smooth! Did you use a ND filter?

    Dave Dugdale

  • @drumat5280 Actually, no. I bought a fader nd from genus which is really nice, but I wanted to use my new circular polarizer and because I was shooting at apertures of 11-22 I didn't need the ND. I'm proud to have you comment Dave!

  • @jameswalt1 I would like to get a circular polarizer, do you like the one you have?

  • @drumat5280 VERY much. It's a 77mm from B+W. I got it on amazon for $100 I think. The big shots of the cliffs and landscapes were enhanced big-time with it on. The greens, blues and browns just popped! It made coloring in magic bullet looks far easier. In fact the shot looking over the cliff wasn't color corrected at all.

  • this was amazing, truly inspirational for all film makers. Im hoping to get the t3i soon!

  • @RedSpectrumPictures Wow Thanks!!!

  • Hiiiiii ,wow its nice :) very beautiful :) . ...on what picture style did yu shoot this video ???? whats ur Picture settings ????? :)

  • @sye005 Thanks!! :) Settings were all manual. 1080p. I used a circular polarizer filter the whole shoot (no ND filter). On the wide shots I shot at an aperture of 20-22 on the medium shots 7-11, I wasn't going for any shallow depth of field. Shutter speed was always 50. Iso was always 100-400. For the time-lapse I took one 18megapixel picture every 10 seconds for 280 photos using a intervalometer.

  • Amazing video man! Great recording and awesome atmosphere. May I ask how much did you get the glide-track for?

  • @SlimCez thanks! I got it for about 325 I think.
