CAP does not use weapons of any kind, and how did you get permission to make this video, the only way is to ask the base commander. And if that was you wearing your CAP BDU uniform wile discharging a weapon you will be in alot of trouble. if i were you i'd delete all your videos that were taken without permission.

@CAP4705 I'm surprised you didn't notice but they were at a shooting range. CAP doesn't own any weapons, but CAP doesn't own any C-17s either does it (yet we fly in them)? The weapons are owned by the USAF on base or wherever their encampment was held. And base commander? You might mean encampment commander but there is no position in the Civil Air Patrol of "base commander". If you really are a Lt. you should know that.

well, you take aerospace classes, moral leadership classes, you drill, (as cadet airman basic you will learn the basics of Civil Air Patrol) and when you take your test - and pass hopefully- you get promoted. it is a great program

well there is a event that happens during the summer and winter (date depends on the wing) which is called encampment it is like a camp except there you can learn (again depending on the wing) aerospace by doing o-rides you can sometimes have during encampment emergency services training such as first aid classes or radio operator classes. And you also do P.T. every morning during the encampment it is challenging at first but a lot of fun you should join!

CAP does not do a summer camp, we have encampment, The two things are entirely different. Encampment is tough as heck, and there's lots of yelling. But I hear that it is pretty fun after the first couple of days.

There is no reason why you cannot be a CAP Cadet and a Sea Cadet, but the two would be seperate. You would be a Sea Cadet at NSCC functions and a CAP cadet at CAP functions.
