To be fairly honest, when I first heard Judas Priest, I didn't particularly like them, I had only heard their more commercial songs like Breakin' The law, Hot Rockin etc.

But later on, I listened to their 70's albums, and they actually had heavier material on them, 'Dissident Aggressor' is definitely a fantastic "Heavy Metal" song, taking note that it was released in just 1977!!!

But also, listen to Painkiller too, that's a great Metal album, you might like that...

Back in the hay day we all loved JP no doubt-but Maiden's music was more sophisticated-guitarist style, drummer (Nikko Mcbrain rocks) and Dickenson was great. I do put Halford over Dickenson, but over all I give the edge to IM. This does not diminish JP at all. Now ACDC is another story. Angus puts them at the top!
