The story of their friendship is beautiful yet heartbreaking. At least their friendship was a true one, that the test of time nor a war could sever. I have studied both of these men at great length and Armistead's story has always tugged at my heart. His life story was heartbreaking. Lost two wives and two children, developed erysipelas(had to have surgery) and his family home in Virginia burned, nearly destroying everything, all withing a 6 yr timeframe. Story fit for a novel. Bravo clip!
