  • love it

  • I just ordered "the whole enchilada" am very, very excited. Even have some time to play..............

  • Mr Rafferty, the best part of this video is your obvious delight in sharing with people. Do I like your arrangement? Yes, very much. But, I enjoy it more because you enjoy teaching it. This is obvious, and it is a gift. Thank You.

  • when i tried playing this, i realised i was automatically doing something different... you can also play the magical open D and slap by hitting the D string with the back of your right hand fingernails! so the slap and D both come from your right hand. make sure you mute the other strings with your left hand (pinky finger maybe) so you don't hit them and this works!

    great video adam, cheers!

  • it was flawless the other video <3 <3

  • Hey I can do a pluck and slap at the same time without hammering. actually, I learned that from playing "Ebon Coast" of Andy McKee and you'll notice the part that you have to pluck/slap at the same time. :D But hammer is great anw

  • Awesome vid..I just heard you on Sirius satellite radio on the Coffee house station. You are most awesome. I love how they are always playing new artist. Im gonna get your CD ASAP.

  • can you give us more details plz it's so quick

  • I'm assuming that you can still make the "slap" work without a thumb pick? I can't get used to one and was wondering what your opinion is on the subject of using thumb picks versus not using them? Thanks and keep picking. Love your stuff.

  • @seaside882000 YEs, slap is string hitting frets, not pick hitting string...good luck!

  • you sir a one classy, awesome humble mofo!!! love your stuff!! rock on bro!!!! :D

  • You should give some lessons on how to play some MJ ;-)

  • About needing to click with thumb and play the open D, why not just pulloff with ur middle finger? Im doing that right now and dont see a problem with it.

  • @santanati That's perfetc - I use both. Rock on!

  • @crescentridge hold on.. what tuning is this?

  • can you send me the tabs about this song please???

  • @crescentridge may i know the tuning of the song ??

  • @puppecki : it´s standard tuning - just check out the DVD of Adam - you can learn it there in detail (might last a while to get it down)

  • @kebmo3108 thank you for the response! ... i appreciate it!

  • may i know the tuning of the song ?? anybody??

  • taylor all the waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyy+martin

  • I am curious as to how long those who are asking for tabs, think it will take them to learn this song. It took Adam 6 months just to come up with the "hammer-on" d note sound. I know that if you're asking for tabs, that you're not a prodigy like the Korean kid, so really! If you practice this song 2 hrs a day, how many hrs of practice do you think it will take U b4 U can play it 90% as good as Adam? It would take me at least a yr, practicing 2 hrs every day to have any hopes of coming close2 90%

  • there is no tabs on that link i m going to kill u

  • That tune rocks man!

  • you can find the tab for this on ultimate guitar without having to buy the dvd. It sais its composed by Adam himself apparently.

  • Instead of hammering on to a d, I like to pull it off at the exact moment of the 'click', which is easier, for me at least.

  • @Nevyle be cool to alternate between the two

  • i had that guitar :0

  • wowowowowowowowow top notch!!!!!!!

  • bless you adam!

  • instead of that why doesn't he just slap and frail?

  • Haha at 3:26 you can hear his cat lol

  • rofl

  • what model taylor is this?

  • Taylor 310 CE

  • Actually - 314 CE

  • i was close :P

  • @crescentridge haha i figure i'd just learn yur rendition by ear. I went to start playing it and on the Pluck + d, i realised without a thumb pick my thumb hits the E AND A string ends up getting half muted.. How unfortunate. I must buy a thumb pick! :P

  • @ikkiej10 actually i don't like that guitar, sound too thin

  • Why the reverb on your voice?!

  • Adam speaking into the same microphone what he use at the song. :) Reverb good for the percussive sound. Maybe he lives in a big chatedral! :D

  • whoooooooooooooooooooo! your amazing <3 !!!!!

  • Cool videos. I appreciate the work you have put into them. Thanks James

  • okay went to ur site and didn't find the tabs. help.

  • He took them down due to copyright concerns.

It's crazy. I can *almost* understand the MPA objecting to a note-for-note transcription of a recorded song, but to go crazy over an arrangement like this?

  • Thank you very much for sharing. You are simply amazing !

  • Hey, Do u sell these tabs? If u do, where can I buy?

  • where can I get the tabs? :O

  • that was absolutley breathtaking

  • Lol you'd probably be the first bitch he'd dig up from the grave. Don't bitch and complain because you need tabs cause you suck. If you can read, it said they are only provided to you after you subscribe. If you can't stop crying for tabs, then go back and put your e-mail in and stfu.

  • So for you to come up with this arrangement and keep it soundin groovy the way stevie would want is amazing! Im really happy that youre doin this. God Bless you!

  • Man you know what your awesome! i just want to say that. I saw the superstition video yesterday and i didnt even know you made one with a lesson. I figured out the intro with the slap and the bass all together from lookin at ur video. Then i looked at this. Everything from changin the bass line to including the slap and the hammer on to the D on the Fifth string was tough for me to figure out that thats what you were doin. And i was watchin you do it.
