Blindfolding is a way to control someone and make them docile. If you cannot see, it makes you very fearful. You quickly become disoriented and cautious in your movements (you aren't likely to jump up and try to run away).  You quickly get used to someone leading you around willingly. It has been a time-tested method of controlling prisoners.

it's not that people don't care about Arabs, they do, we saw what happened when the world found out that the US army had been torturing prisoners in Iraq, it's just that they don't care about the Palestinians... it's sad but true.
