@lukebccb you responding to me? is awesome place, try going there. have you been there? try frozen main rivers thru town, people skating around on them. no english signs, just chinese & russian. epic ice festival with sites all over town, full size ice replicas of great wall etc. & yes you can buy russian & chinese odds & ends in various markets, but they are so cool you can't take them thru western customs, ie spent rpg shells/ etc, even as lighters you can't get the them on a plane to west!
One of my favourite things, nearby the Russsian Orthodox Church at beginning is a big underground1960's? food marketplace, size of 2 urban blocks, you go down subway like entrances with big green blanket doors covering in winter. It's quite amazing undergound world of sights & smells.
