He's so cute! I love labs. I just adopted a little lab puppy named "Sonny" to save me (I'm slowly healing from LD & need someone to jump start me, which he does!). He loves water already, too ... comes with me into the bathroom when I take my baths. Well, the other day, he snatched quickly a soap bar from the tub & started choking. I fell so hard when rescuing him. No broken bones, just really bad arm bruises the size of my hands.

@alargedog ...11-13 yrs. ago-I lived in a very woodsy area. Used to pick ticks off my lab, Luke, all the time. Now, with Sonny, I have the option to get the Lyme Vaccine. I'm a little weary of it especially when it's not avail to people. One never really knows all about vaccines (what may come from it). Have you heard of the book, "Dr. Mary's Monkey"? You would find it very interesting. Yeah just recently, I was diagnosed w/Chronic Lyme Disease. It's tough to fight when co-infected but possible.

@sonyarose8 i wish u all the best and a speedy recovery sonja,we dont get many ticks here but years ago i used to live in s africa and i was forever picking ticks off my dogs i lost a couple of them to tick fever even 1 i got vacinated because it was too late, i havnt read dr marys book but iv heard it was about the cover ups in the medical proffesion

@alargedog Thanks. I hope to beat it, no matter how long it takes... just have to remain positive. I'm sorry to hear of your losses. I hope your dogs come to you in your dreams every now & then & give you a great big kiss...:) We have a bigger problem w/ticks then people realize. Recently, the Sacramento County Health Dept. warned the public to beware of ticks after an 8 yr. old boy caught tularemia (infection carried by dog ticks). I just bought a big bottle of nat'l flea spray for my dog & me!
