Philadelphia Union are a new team but their fan base has proved to be worthy using their own songs and usually filling up the stadium. Theyll get bigger over the years. You see, Chicago and LA are the only legit teams in the mls, all the other teams try to be carbon copies of premier or other legue teams ("REAL SALT LAKE?" - what a joke) when there obviously isn' a market for that. @oJKBo A daytripper is someone who goes the match for a day-out in the same way someone would go the pictures, the baths or the park etc. They are customers, not fans and they are a fuckin pain in the arse to look at, to breath the same air as and generally be around.
The fumes aren't toxic - let's nip that in the bud straight away! Listen lad, when a flare is set off or a smokey, the volume of the singing automatically goes up. I'll ignore your last 2 questions, they make no sense.

You need flares to sing loudly even though it will have no effect on the game because no one scores in soccer anyway? you don't need flares to create a good 'atmosphere', just like you don't need banana throwing and monkey chants.

You see, Chicago and LA are the only legit teams in the mls, all the other teams try to be carbon copies of premier or other legue teams ("REAL SALT LAKE?" - what a joke) when there obviously isn' a market for that. Soccer will be big in the US when the teams cater to the audience, not the other way around. Chicago Fire is fun because they are a decent team, but they don't pretend to be better than they are and are cool, even to people who don't like the sport.
