They used to use this theme for the channel 7 (ABC)news opening every evening at 7 pm. Glad to know it came from Mr. Schifrin. I wonder if he got royalties for it. It was used for many many years.

it was on the ABC O&O here in the USA but National 9 Australia used it for National Newscasts.
