  • Good video, I eat every 2hours.

  • almonds and raisins are a great protein and carb snack.

  • i heard that eating cereal is bad

so is the kashi go lean cereal bad or good???

  • @Nikperu10 Good very high protein and loads of fiber

  • where can i find that food selection thing? is it free? if so, i love you xD

  • the damn microwave distracted me the whole time

  • what do you think about my diet

i generally workout twice a day and split up my cardio and muscle training

    oatmeal with some strawberry jam

    ground chicken with pasta

protein shake with banana kiwis and blueberries

rice with some chicken and some veggies

    beans

  • scooby who is the man, the workout video dude, says u gave to eat less to get 6 packs the hell!!!

  • Comment removed

  • look at the microwave.. :O

  • Fucking introduction!

  • You know Jif, Skippy, etc.. all have added sugar, right? Not to mention trans fats. Spend a couple extra dollars and get all natural peanut butter.

  • Im 34, 6'3 and 190 lbs. Im wanting to gain weight and build muscle and still still keep a lean look. Is this possible.. Please help..

  • @charliec5 make it possible. only you can do that. help yourself. he cant help you. 99% of it is you

  • i like..

I try to attempt. Thanks for the advice

  • u dont have to eat ever 2½-3hrs its untue

  • Btw good stuff I really like ur vids

  • Is it just me, or did everyone look outside his window to see what season it was lol

  • solid info and tight phone son!

  • nice kitchen!

  • 6:43 you eat until you're not full anymore? must try that 1! :L

  • eas yeaaa

  • nice phone!

  • where can you buy pro/grade protein at?

  • can you buy protein bars at any supermarket?

  • @HFMclCHASE most of them but protein shakes are better

  • i love peanut butter jelly sandwhiches.. can u eat one every 3 hours with the right kind of bread??

  • @thankyer i think you should only eat 1 peanut butter sandwich per day, any more than that would be to much fat.

  • @ZacWisDrumming except it's a guidline that your supposed to eat at least .45 per pound of bodyweight in fat. If you put one table spoon for each sandwich between two sandwiches that's 16 grams of fat.. not even close to anyone's requirement

  • Those EAS bars have sucralose, artificial flavors, and acuesuflame potassium.....all horrible things for muscle growth

  • hey Jeff - bought Athlean X last week. Great Stuff. Just gotta ask, would you recommend Chobani yougurt? It has a lot of protein but sugar is pretty high as well

  • I doubt if peanut butter, yogurt etc. help you get lean fast

  • @mky602 Bro, I ate peanut butter everyday, or close to every other day alongside with a workout regimin of 30-60 minutes of HiiT, and on days other days, I would maintain my Mon-Fri workouts. I ended up getting a six pack :D. This guy knows what he's talking about. As long as you keep up with the small snacks throughout the day, you will soon, probably in the next 2-3 months, that is if you maintain your workout levels, develop a 6 pack, if not 8 pack :D

  • @chao5cuber Great to know that you got a six pack :) But you were exercising a lot and smartly that is the reason you could do away with eating peanut butter. Maybe it is nice to have the peanut butter once in a while.

  • @mky602 Peanut butter is great for you...good amount of protein and healthy fats that your body needs

  • good stuff

  • What kind of yogurt should you eat daily thats good for a six pack?

  • @markwood345 Just look for a low fat yogurt that will be fine I personally have the activia snackpot yogurts which are great only 99cals and 8grams of protein but I'm from the u.k and it depends if they are available in your area but anything similar would be fine.

  • Jeff whats your take on pasta

  • hey jeff quick question where does amino acids fit in??! i heard they were essential for muscle growth and someone recomended fuits and even veggies as snacks like avocado!

  • hey jeff great videos and keep them coming

but i was just wondering how much sugar should you have in one snack to build muscle?

  • I'm allergic to peanuts. Is nutella an appropriate substitute?

  • @PaulisMusic NO WAY IT HAS A LOT OF SUGAR...

  • @NirvanoVai Do you know any other good substitutes for peanut butter?

  • @PaulisMusic Of course my horse, Almond butter ?

If not Just put some free sugar jelly. I'm not allergic to peanuts i just don't want to eat peanut butter and i like it to much but better stay the most lean you can. ;)

  • @NirvanoVai Thanks!

  • you eat until you're not full anymore... lol... 6:43

  • You recommend Jelly with Penut butter sandwich? whats wrong with you?

  • great bread is LifeStyle - sold at Jewels or Walmart..there is a 35 calories a slice - 8carbs..wheat bread..love it..

  • hey im a 15 year old male who is trying to build muscle do you think i should use pro grade? please reply back

  • dude watssupp with your phone!

  • u realize ur intro takes 27 seconds?

  • I am loving everything that your saying, and I am a subscriber, but is the aspertame in the crystal light pretty bad for you?

  • Thumbs up if you see that he's microwaving something! 3:28

  • @FaWhDe Woah!

  • Jeff what about bread with protein in it? I have seen some bread with 13g of protein per slice? That would be a killer snack with pb&j what do you think?

  • @Daslive1 That would be awesome never seen that before what brand is it? and who has it?

  • @basspro209 Called Julian's Bakery... Found at Julian's Bakery (.com)

  • this is what i love about Jef... no bullshit about trying to sell his sponsered supplements, and realistic, affordable foods to eat.. youre a hero Jef

  • The 6 meals per day to build muscle is a myth!!!

Can't believe that this belief is still there... -_-

You don't have to eat every 2-3h...

  • @geraldstoppini still prevents the possibility of bloating, and there is no negatives of spacing your meals for variety and more frequent satsifaction

  • @3QuaNiMiTyy but there is no benefit neither

  • @geraldstoppini I actually agree with you.. I eat 3 big meals a day and that's it but then again I don't have a six pack.. I am pretty cut tho.. LOL.

  • @lilcrazyaznboy it really does make a difference lol, because if your eatin 6 smaller meals, you develope a better metabolism, which then helps you to look leaner, while still getting the proper nutrients. I started eating more frequently, and eating alot better, and i already see my six pack after one month.

  • jeff eats jif .. :)

  • Whats a good time to go working out? Your suppose to wait 2 hours after a meal so when would it be a good time to go working out??

  • My peanut butter has more fat than protein? Does it qualify as a good snack?

  • CHEERIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOS! :D

  • I do not call them snax anymore becuz i think of a snack as like chips. i consider it a meal and eat 5 -6 meals a day, but 2-3 are not as big as the others

  • you eat until your not full anymore ?! :D

  • you eat until your not full anymore ?! :D

  • Hey jeff im wondering if subway is really healthy or not?

  • Snacks on snacks

  • Does yoplait yogurt work just as well?

  • great vid a can i eat turkey slices for my protein filling??

  • hey, i was wondering if you would recommend the EAS myoplex bars over cliff bars?

  • hey i know its weird I'm posting this on this particular video but I'm a fighter thats my sport... can you develop a workout that can help develop power/strength/speed with emphasis on the POWER aspect. iv researched many different things and most (if not all) dont use isometric exercises but rather compound exercises. would be great and much appreciated if you can help.

Lover your videos by the way!

  • hey love dis vedio..

just one question i use whey protein..can i drink a glass of protein instead of eating a bar everyday..

  • and also i take this protien supplement called musashi mass gain. is it good?

  • hi jeff, im 15 yrs old and im very skinny unfortunately cuz of my fast metabolism. i started eating and working out. only litrle by little its improving which i dont like becuz it takes too long . sometimes i feel im not gaining anything. plz give me some tips i really want to get big and get those muscles going.

  • Hey thanks for posting. I also love your birdhouse collection on the top of the cabinets, those are cool!!

  • lol. who needs a phone that big!!

  • protein bar is the same thing as eating a sneaker bar very low nutrition value, and by the way breads are all fat and sugar when they enter your body, whole grains are healthy, but especially wheat bread, white bread are all unhealthy , wheat bread is the same thing only difference they have fiber and its digested slowly to absorb those nutrients.

  • Are 2:1 protien bars good

  • HI Jeff Im 12 about to turn 13 and I have a small layer of fat covering my abs, what do I do to burn the fat and show my abs? Also are your exercise videos for adults or for everyone?

    Weight- 113

Hight- about 5 feet 8 inches

  • @Telos247 getting a six pack is just as much, if not more, about nutrition as it is about workouts... making sure you're eating healthy is key...

as for excercise i actually started using machines in the gym when i was 12 (i am a motorcycle racer so i needed to get fit) although i wouldn't recommend it... however at your age its safe to do bodyweight exercises like pull ups, push ups, squats, etc... i would recommend getting into a sport as well..

  • @Sephiroth32vergil Thanks also I am a vegetarian and I play both Football and Soccer. Do you know any vegetarian foot that has A LOT of protein. Oh and sorry for the late response.

  • @Telos247 ofcourse protein shakes/bars, nuts and peanut butter like jeff said (although i don't eat bread with it). i actually don't get most of my protein from meat, i get it from beans. beans is high in fiber, protein and also helps your immune system.

both my brothers were vegan (the other one recently stopped) and they would get vegan meats (made from soy) and they still have a good amount of protein. you can find more online, hope this helps

  • hey jeff im 15 and i was wondering if this would be healthy for me to do (eating all the meal plans you have talked about on here) cause i really want to get fit but i dont eat right (burgers, pizza ect) so i really need to change but i want to make sure this is healthy for me please answer

  • Hey Jeff I just started recently working out and I am a little confused on how to go about it. Should I workout everything a little in one day or just focus on certain parts of my body each day? I also have college and work so time is also a factor.

  • jeff , im 14 and i have a little belly , bot bit but it is noticeable , will it go away as i get older ? anyone can answer .

  • @L0G4NHTC not necesasrily.. for some kids it goes away a little as you get taller. but if you dont stay active it could get bigger or stay the same so hit the gym and work hard and it'll definitely be gone!

  • @L0G4NHTC no it will not... especially depending on your body type.... but since you're young it won't be that hard to lose the belly... just Jog or get on a bike atleast 30 minutes a day and you should be good, provided you eat right...

But personally i think you should start doing strength training too... i didn't say weights cause i don't think its healthy at your age but bodyweight exercises should be really good... you won't regret it i garuntee you...

  • @Sephiroth32vergil LMFAO I love your screen name! I come to learn about nutrition, and I get a little final fantasy on the side lol.

  • @XXRavethedrummerXX hahaha... i can also answer any questions you may have about FF7 :)

  • Hey Jeff, just want to thank you for so much FREE advise, not someone who asks money for ALL of his tips and workouts :)

Keep it up, love your video's.

  • Hey Jeff, My day usually ends at 10PM on a school day and should i eat a late night snack before i go to bed?

  • Jeff, Is tonic water an okay supplement for the normal water

  • hey Jeff, just stumbled upon the videos and I'm loving them so far. One big question I've had for a while is about water. I cut all soda out of my diet. That alone gave me some pretty dramatic results but its getting hard to just stick with plain water. I was curious about instant unsweetened tea.. Would that be an acceptable or is there any reason I would want to avoid it in regards to muscle building/weight loss. Thanks.

  • @David878 just an opinion here, i'm not an expert or anything but i am an athlete... i don't drink anything but water but when it starts to get hard to stick with it i add something (currently trying out propel zero packets)... tea is actually good for you as long as there is no sugar or honey added... just make sure you mainly drink water...

  • I eat mainly tuna, potatoes, noodles, rice, chicken filets, steaks and some vegetables like carrots, beans and salads...

    Are there some meals missing?

  • Jeff, how much should we limit ourselves when it comes to peanut butter? In the past I've avoided it because of it's high fat.

Keep the videos coming, your the best PT on youtube.

  • i drink lots of OJ, and milk and protein shakes, along with the ocasional peice of pizza lol, and other nutritous things, eat at like 7, then 11, then about 2, are these times to far apart? im 16

  • Hey I need some advice I am305 and 6-4 and for the past month I have been only eating one meal a day to get rid of the fat, is this a good choice? Or should I try to eat little things over the course of the day? I also have been targeting my abs mostly my arms shoulders and pecks are where I want them its just the abs I need.

  • @MrDrag0nfist not an expert but i do know that eating one meal a day is bad... you want to spread out what you eat... like 6 meals a day but nothing big (i eat 6 300 - 350 calorie meals a day)... also you should be working out every part of your body... not just the upper body...

  • Wow this really helped me I thought to get a six I had to eat less but now I know I can have snacks throughout the day thanks for the video

  • hey jeff, another thing i do for snack and its really good as well is Celery with Peanut butter, Taste good and they both in the seletions ha.

  • I bought Smuckers All Natural...is that a good choice? I bought chunky.

  • i am thin but im trying to concentrate on my abdominal area before gaining mass. is this a good idea?

  • Hey i wanna ask,is it better for us to have raw eggs or have them hardboiled

  • Thanks for this video Jeff, just what I've been looking for. Your doing incredible work here, and I'm sure you have helped many, many people. Best I have seen thus far. Thanks again.OUS!

  • Great stuff .. Only thing i would change is the jelly to natural honey (cuts alot of calories / sugar)... the regular peanut butter for the sugar free kind ... and I found hummus is great with the celery and carrot sticks

  • Grab a handful of nuts....

  • you know y love you wright?

for saying the thing about peanutbutter ,:D y love that stuff , just went and bought a big jug , and for me not to pig out on it , y made sanwiches with all of it and sliced it is triangles and froze them :D

  • Jeff , when should i stop eating . for example if i eat dinner at 6 do i snack at 8 if i go to bed around 1030 ? can i eat the whole day long till bed in 3 hour periods is what i mean. thanks :)

  • Some of these Foods we dont have in britain, is there any alternatives also im allergic to nuts so is there another substitue that could be used as a snack??

  • someone likes to build birdhouses ;)

  • hay whats are you cooking in your microwave its distracting

  • Jeff! your meal plan videos and work out videos have helped me so much! I've been doing alot of working out because i'm a minor actor, and i needed to get in shape. i worked out with my dad (former personal trainer) but i started watching some of your videos. And these have helped alot more! but also this on top of my other working out have helped me so much!! Right now i have a 6% body fat im 13 years old, 6'2" can bench 210 lbs and now have an 8 pack!! im so subbing!

  • Comment removed

  • what foods would you recomend fo a 16 year old boy who just started working out?

  • i want to get six pack abs but im a vegetarian. by the way ive went to 155 to 148 in two weeks but i want to loose 10 pounds so are there ways that i can get my protein

  • @ThePizza107 yeah man whey protein eggs eggwhites fat free chesse cottage chesse fat free again skim milk greek yorguret wheat bread otmeal whole wheat pasta natural peaunt butter and any kind of nuts

  • i know calorie counting isny for everyone, but its actually quite easy, especially with smart phones... the can of tuna for example lists exactly how many calories carbs protein etc. the eggs, nuts, protein bars. it all hs labels that tell you exactly what youre getting. the pb is a little different but still not hard to measure, and once ur familiar with the portion you can just eyeball it. its so worth it to know exactly where u are on calories and it helps with meal planning.

  • best videos

  • how mnay calorise do i need im 16 140-145?

  • i play football and i have been watching a lot of ur videos. what wud be a good like pre practice, pre game meal/snack.

  • Some protein bars are good but many are not good and have a lot of sugar and soy protein. I drínk water with all meals and water when I work out.

  • There are people out there that can't stand water?

  • question from an oversea guy how much portein and fat does your light laughing cow have? here for 100gr it's 14g protein and 7g of fat. Is it ok to eat everyday as it is quite high in fat 7%

  • Hey Jeff, love the vid.

a question; would u say eating like this constently is too much for a 14-16 year old?

  • @telephone514 Are you talking about quantity of food?

  • @JDCav24 Yeah, i'm just worried about getting fat. I'm 15 and started working out. I started 140 pounds and almost a month after i'm 150 pounds. I eat proper 3 meals and have whey 30mins before/after full body workouts every 2 days and costenly running to burn. I'm worried about eating too much and gaining weight, is it muscel wieght I put on, or fat? as u can see, i'm a starter/noob, I would greatly appreciate your take on this. Thank You. you're awsome! :)

  • @JDCav24 hey jeff, i have a question, could i just eat the oatmeal breakfast that you recommend every day, or would it be better to mix it up?

  • @JDCav24 hey jeff, i have a question, could i eat the oatmeal and egg white omelet breakfast that you recommend in the earlier video every day or would it be better to mix it up a bit??

  • @telephone514 i believe he means multiple snacks per day

  • hey Jeff, would u say this is too much for a 14-16 year old?

  • this REALLY helped me, i had no idea what i should be eating or how often, but this really helped, thank you

  • I use way protein, and im on my last year of school how do i conserve my shake from just sitten there and use it as soon as i get to the weight room, it needs to be smooth so it can get through the system easier

  • i took your advice and i eat every 2-3 hours. healthy foods obviously. and i workout from sundays-thursdays. run for 20 mins b4 my workouts on fat burn on the bike machine. i have a 4 pack, visible , have a little bit of fat on my lower abs. hoping to get a nice ripped abdominal. im 17 years old. am i going on the right path to having a successful body like yourself ? your response would be greatly appreciated

  • I want to get 6 pack abs (well technically I want 8 but I'll be happy with 6). I'm a teenager, and if I'm correct when people are teenagers we can eat less healthy foods. How much does it really matter the foods I eat? I know that I should eat healthier foods obviously but I still like to have soda, fast foods, candy, things of that sort. I also have been questioning how healthy things like the Nutri-Grain food bars truely are. If you could answer these questions it would be much appreciated.

  • @unamedandunknown well I don't think you would get visible abs if you eat candy and drink sodas more than like once a week. I don't know about those bars but many bars are not good. If they contain a lot of sugar and soy protein then a chicken burger or something like that with whole wheat bread would be better.

  • Jeff, I am a so called "hardgainer" how can u prove to me that your programme can help me. Thanks

  • Great info!

    Thank You!

  • EAS was recently tested and was found to have some of the highest amounts of heavy metals in their whey products. I wouldn't eat those bars too much. Stick to real food.

  • for breakfast i have a cup of coffee with a piece of toast. or an egg and the rest of the day i only drink water and sometimes juice..should i stop with the coffee? and i work out 5 times a week. hoping to get lean abs with your workouts..thanks

  • @sawhouse2 Coffee is fine, it's the sugar and cream you have to watch. Coffee by itself (black) is actually quite good for you, and provides the natural caffeine many people need to get their day going. However, mixed with sugar and cream it packs quite a deadly punch, and can make a good breakfast bad. Not to mention a sugar crash later in the day.

  • for breakfast i have a cup of coffee with a piece of toast.and the rest of the day i only drink water and sometimes juice..should i stop with the coffee? and i work out 5 times a week. hoping to get lean abs with your workouts..thanks

  • jeff your a legend thank you for all your advice

  • you are fucking ripped man i want a body like that

  • can i mis the nestle sema sweet chocolate iwht raisins? n have that for snack at my office?

  • @GotiMosi Yes....just be careful with the raisins! They are very caloric and pack a pretty big sugar punch in small servings!

  • @JDCav24 yeah raisins contains a lot of sugar but they would be good to eat after a work out or some raisins with oatmeal for breakfast.

  • Whats the optimum level of calories that i can eat to burn fat? My understanding is that if i eat too little, then the body panics and stores the food i eat? (or something like that).

Apparently i burn about 2000+ calories just by breathing as im only 20 and 6'2 (it seems height has a say in the calories you eat?)? So was wondering if perhaps im supposed to eat 10% lower than my calorie recommendations based on my body etc?

    Cheers Jeff

  • hey jeff i was wondering~ i weigh 155 and id like to be a nice solid 165~170~ i eat right take vitamins and ive read the abs diet~ i hear since i want to weigh 170 i need to eat kind of like i do but i also am working on sculpting my 6 too~ so whats the best way going about increasing size and strength throughout the whole body butstill carving a 6?? thank you much

  • Hey Jeff, in the video you said eat until your "not full" anymore, I did this but I keep getting full, how do I eat until im not full? 6:43

  • @joemm210 A verbal slip up.....eat until you're full :)

  • @JDCav24 If I knew you were going to reply I would have asked something useful. I bought your program and lost 35 pounds of fat so far by eating right and I got to lose another 35 pounds of fat still, so since you read these replys I just got to say that your doing a great job!

  • @JDCav24 looks like your peanut butter choice is pretty crap! Ingredients on the bottle should say peanuts and maybe salt and that is it. Your creamy one looks like it might be looaded with sugar and trans fats from roasted peanuts!!!

  • @Strange0ne mate does it look like its having a bad effect on him?

hes obviously getting this stuff right so id listen to him?

  • @joemm210 lmao..ur funny man..

  • Hey jeff, i am just curious about the pros and cons of swimming when you want that, for example, taylor laughtner body. Is it not a good idea? will it help in cutting up and getting bigger? id love to know your two cents.

    thanx

  • Hey jeff, what power bars should I be eating, there are so many different kinds. Which one is the best?

  • I love these meal ideas. I'm a little nervous about the fact that many fitness and nutrition people say to stay away from many of the foods you mention. Like peanut butter (too much fat), dairy products (too much fat, too many carbs), salsa (high fructose corn syrup), Jelly (to much sugar/high fructose corn syrup)...etc. What say you about all these issues. This kind of food is the food I'd love to be able to eat!

  • Is it important to have natural peanut butter or will the kraft brand of crunchy peanut butter be fine?

  • hey jeff does ath lean x cost money for the plan

  • lol nice phone you got there. oh and good video too lol

  • Jif and skippy are poison. Full of trans fats and sugar. All natural peanut butter is good

  • HI Jeff,

I have been looking for those glass containers of fruit that you have on your counter at many stores. Can you please tell me where I might find them? Thank you. So glad I subscribed to your videos as they are very informative.
