  • just salt and pepper no offense but that doesnt sound to good

  • If you don't mind a suggestion dear, you should try Kosher Salt or Sea Salt instead of Iodized salt. Either salt will produce a much better flavor without all of the chemicals... I'm not a fan of eating Iodine personally. I think you and your husband seem like wonderful people. Keep the videos coming!

  • NICE!!

  • I've just discovered your videos. That is one beautiful grill you have, what is Rick cooking on? Is that a Weber Summit series?

  • @Speedfreely Actually it's a Member's Mark grill. I do like it.

    --Rick

  • @lucatoscani1973 Thanks...and thanks!

    --Betty :)

  • Hi Ms.Betty! I've been watching most of your videos and i find them really helpful especially that im an Asian,my husband liked most of the food i cooked for him from your recipe!just wondering how long did you cook the meat on the grill?this recipe looks easy to make, yet looks so good!:)

  • @tess453 Thanks for your lovely comment! The time on the grill will vary with the heat of the grill and the thickness of your pork chops, but generally it will take about 25 minutes over indirect heat. Pork must be cooked all the way done, so check to make sure there is no pink showing when you take them off the grill.

  • @bettyskitchen Thanks so much!more power to you and may the Lord Bless you always so you could make more recipes! :)

  • Betty it doesn't matter what you cook, grill or prepare for that matter. It is already a plesure to watch you do anything. Enjoy life!

  • @maxboye1122 Thanks for your sweet comment! I really appreciate it!

    --Betty :)

  • betty is hot =D

  • @kinkyafr0 Thanks for the thought...

    --Betty :)

  • My chops aren't going to taste near as good after watching your video Betty. Is there anything better than a chop on the grill I think not unless it's a piece of chicken. We have a law in my county of KY that grills are not allowed when living in an apartment complex. Ky folks not being able to grill put up a fuss over but it passed anyway. Grilled food and sweet tea is in our DNA in KY. lol

  • @KissHope I agree with you about the sweet tea and grilled food!

    --Betty :)

  • Do you have to use extra virgin olive oil? or can you use other oils like vegetable oil?

  • @sae22008 You may use other oils; vegetable oil is fine.

    --Betty :)

  • Betty your recipes rock. I am so distressed that your married.

  • Pork loin/chop cuts should be served medium.

  • Every time I'm looking for a neat recipe to make, I turn to Betty! Your recipe videos are always so helpful and delicious. No other how-to cooking videos compare. You should write a cookbook, I'll buy it!

  • @kbs1212

    She does have a cookbook.

  • @KissHope Sweet!

  • @KissHope

I believe it's at Lulu dot com and type in Betty's Kitchen. Betty has some really wonderful recipes so don't be afraid to try them.

  • THT'S A INDIAN INTRO! LUV IT

  • Hmm now I'm going out to buy some Pork Chops :)

  • do u have a video showing how to make the wild rice baked dish!?

  • @XPhat159PhatX Yes, it is called Incredible White to Brown Rice. I think you will love it!

    --Betty :)

  • @bettyskitchen Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Looks so great Betty, you are lucky to live in Ky. and have those wonderful meals.

  • you didnt say how long to cook it or anything really

  • @hpwai The complete recipe is with the video. Just click the down arrow or "more info." It will take different amounts of time on different grills and different temperatures. I suggested that you test for doneness, because pork must be cooked thoroughly. I suggested that you check to make sure that no pink is showing.

    --Betty :)

  • i luv how u have many different recipes for pork theres not to many ppl that like pork!!!

  • I would like ot learn about eggplan and Conrnbeef & cabbage. You are wonderful. Thank you so much.

  • Hey, Thank you so much for cooking help. I need lots of practice, I was wandering about eggplant, and cornbeef &cabbage? We don't eat that in the South but it is good sometimes. How do you make cabbage? I love wachting your shows, I am form Pensacola, Fl so I can relate to much of the Souhtren cooking,,yours is simple and not overdone like the magazines.

  • I cannot believe that Betty - 40 years - you seriously don't look old enough! I think that you should throw in a few fountain of youth tips along with the cooking demos! x

  • Looks delicious! You and your husband are a GORGEOUS couple! How long have you been married?

  • @metamorphicmuse Thanks! We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary on January 23!

    --Betty :)

  • YUMMY RECIPIE!!! UR OUTFIT IS SO CUTE!!!!!

  • Betty, I just realized the way I do my grilled chops, I learned from you! Thinking back to when you used thyme in another recipe!!

  • @skabibble Yes, that was a while back! Thanks for your lovely comments!

    --Betty :)

  • Very Nice! That's exactly how I prep and grill my porkchops! I have also used fresh thyme leaves with the other ingredients, not too many but enough to get the taste. You may want to try that next time, trust me its good:) I have some chops in the freezer and they're getting grilled this weekend!!

  • Beautiful flowers Betty.

  • @noreallyphuckyou Thanks!

    --Betty :)

  • That dish, as with all of your dishes, looks great!

Your back yard is beautifully spacious.

  • Great job grilling Rick! Fantastic ideas all round here. Rick looks like my uncle Sean!

  • Betty, that was looking so good until you got to the lima beans!! LOL, I was forced to eat those when I was a little girl in Virginia - my Aunt served them up with pretty much everything and, if it wasn't lima beans, it was black eyed peas! :)

  • oretty good^^.

  • Betty that looks so good! It's a pity that in America you have to cook pork well done (due to health risks) but in Australia our pork industry is clean enough(no imports yet) to have the pork cooked so it is a little pink, and oh so juicy. Keep up the great recipes. :)

  • Great video!! =)

  • cute lil video.

  • Do y'all drink sweet tea in KY, Betty?

  • @ArchieLovesMe I always drink it sweet. I order it unsweetened, but I sweeten it myself.

    --Betty :)

  • I ate grilled pork with vegetables in sweden like this on video... It was tasty.

hoo.. I want to try your drink.. it makes me thirsty because we have the hottest summer day. 86F

  • tasty grilled pork and vegetables are an amazing meal. I ate this in Sweden. It's great dish when u're very hungry. Thnx Betty for video. This video makes me hungry and your drink makes me thristy especially today we have the hottest day in this summer :D Betty, do you know any summer cold soups? :)

  • Thanks Betty and Rick, Those chops look so good! I'm thinking some brown gravy with the horseradish cream would really top them off. I've been using instant ice tea powder for the ease of making a glass of tea, but it isn't as good as fresh made.

Could you tell us how you prepare your fresh tea?

  • @dburns163 Thanks for your nice comment! Brown gravy and horseradish cream sounds wonderful with grilled pork chops. I have a video on making iced tea. You might search for iced tea or pattern glass in bettyskitchen, if you are interested.

  • You live close to Fort Knox?

  • @doggmann38 Fort Knox is about125 miles from where we are in Richmond, Kentucky.

    --Betty :)

  • I may get called an idiot for this but you know I never knew you could get boneless pork chops...I was always put off pork chops because of the bones but now I know this little gem I'm definitely trying this :D Thanks Betty, you taught me something I didn't know as usual :D

  • Rick, google "forkula" so you don't have to chase the chops around the grill.

  • curious do you ever go back for seconds

  • @soonfully Hardly ever--and I would never eat the full serving that I place on my demonstration plates!
