In Brooklyn NY, in the 1970's, while in Junior High School, Wretched Refuse became my heroes. I bought the original Beet Records disc when I was 14 ("The metallic taste of fear as the music spirals through your mind...here is your "Bluegrass Nightmare"). Richard et al made it seem like it might even be fun to someday be an adult, playing music in one's own hometown. Thank you kafka; thank you Russell. And Marty Cutler is God.
