  • @Eflat7sharp9 exactly what i thought

  • am i the only one who hears a huge big daddy kane influence on this song?

  • This track is so ahead of its time. >< Pure hip hop right chyea.

  • Pledge allegiance to the Hip-Hop...smooth flow, SALUTE

  • peace from slovakia

  • "should I explain Hip-Hop okay I love it, a simply definition but you still dont know the half of it" - 20 years ago and still up to date !!

how the fuck did he know :]

  • GZA and Method Man's Shadow Boxin' is one of the dopest hip hop songz ever!!

  • "To tell you the truth is just one nation under a groove. Gettin' down for the funk of it. Like Fred Sanford's in the business for the junk of it." lol

  • This is brilliant, but it's actually called "Words from A Genius".

  • nice. never heard this song before. gza used that verse in necronomicon. universal allah i believe

  • this shit hold me here..

  • he and GURU are the greatest lyricists of all time bar none.

  • @fukwaynecampaign2 guru muh nikka

  • @fukwaynecampaign2 GURU??

  • cold chillin was the same label that de la soul was signed to right..

  • old scool classic

  • "You react like an infant respons to Similac

Or then again, could have been Enfamil

But for your information the rhyme is real" rofl, fuckin classin

@3:10 Coffee & Cigarettes, look it up

  • He is a great lyricist but i'm fucking with K-Rino from Texas

  • @LastRapFanatic idiot

  • @krazzyyo2 hey bitch you need to get off my dick and except the fact that rap music is world wide! now I said he was a great lyricist and you had to talk shit! understand this, you can't call me an idiot for expressing my opinions or telling people who I fuck with! Now I got to call you an idiot and an asshole for fucking with me!

  • this reminds me of paid in full by rakim/eric.b

  • @NaS023 why?

  • met gza at the san diego airport. great dude, he stopped to talk to me for like 10 minutes even though his boys were in a rush. he asked me if i rap, and i told him no.he said the rap game can always use more diversity. (im white) lol.

  • @sjl36 White man, why do you laugh at yourself? Have some pride.

  • @djfakt i didnt mean it like that, i was just explaining why he said what he did.

  • @sjl36 Those were "Words from the Genius"!

  • @tierryOnree Gza - Liquid Swords - Living in the world today

  • 1991

  • Brings back crazy memories.....damn!

  • truetrue cant get enough of the wu

  • Yo, this is dope!!!! Straight up this is GZA channeling his inner Big Daddy Kane! BK in the fuckin spot!

  • Classic song from the WU! Check out CREAM 2010, it's ill!!!

  • I can't get enough of the Wu- Tang. It's real, uncompromised hip hop. The reason people look down on hip hop is because all the stuff that gets public exposure is garbage. It's watered down to be agreeable with the masses. Wu- Tang members have always been sharp and never took the easy money. Fuck radio rappers.

  • @downdavyjoneslocker 100 % agree mate

  • @downdavyjoneslocker Couldn't have said that better myself. Peace

  • @downdavyjoneslocker I love every single letter of everything in that post. I couldnt have said it better. Gza is my favorite rapper ever

  • @downdavyjoneslocker I got into hip hop threw dre, i always loved the west coast but as time went by i find that the wu tang is my favourite now, and i'd always had there cd's must be that they are the real matured hip hop for adults, they got some real timless tunes. respect dude

  • Comment removed

  • easy mo bee has his fingers all over hip hop history. i'm always bumpin into one of his beats. check "chill wit that" by ill and al scratch remixed by easy mo bee

  • This is back when if the record label read "Cold Chillin'" you was gettin it!!

  • GZA was one of the livest shows i've been to.

  • can you post drama next, if you haven't already. peace thanx

  • i used to have this tape back in 91, this was my favorite joint . thanks for posting.

  • (btw I tried to post but it didn't work) Anyways as said before at 3:07, the GZA part says

"..My rhymes are delivered with style and potential

Words are flowin smoothly in a sequential

    Order, revealin hidden tape records

Stuffed inside pockets and those I'll slaughter.."

And in Severe punnishment he puts it like this:

"...LP's delivered with style and potential

Niggaz flowin smoothly in a sequential

    order, revealin hidden tape recorders

Stashed inside pockets of those who lack aura"

  • And at 1:50+ Gza says in this song "...MC's wonder what's hip-hop thunder

Tell you the truth it's just One Nation Under

A Groove, getting down for the funk of it

Like Fred Sanford in the business for the junk of it..."

But RZA says in Severe punnishment:

"..Yo mcs wonder whats hip-hop thunder

Tell you the truth its just one nation under a groove

Gettin down for the funk of it

Like fred sanford in the biz..."

  • damn sounds like g rap here

  • 3:07 what wu-tang song does he say that in I totally recognize that rhyme

  • 'severe punishment' off 'wu tang forever'

  • This song is influnce of Kane and Rakim.

  • LOL yeah this is so much Rakim

  • hahahahahhahahhahahhahaha

    you can't be serious

  • I was just kidding you stupid idiots
