Simply outstanding!! This version is very close to what I got to hear in October of last year when they came to Sioux Falls, S.D. I think that it might be just a bit better than the one on the new "Songs from the Heart" DVD.

Here is the problem , not EVERYONE that opens there mouths about the mistreatment of peoples in other lands either know or have been there. I think a lot of people in other countries face oppression and lack of opportunities. people who are born and bred in america don't know what it's like to face oppression and live under dictatorships. so they don't appreciate it as much. we have to do better job of educating people about the world, bring back traditional values, stop media from lying to people.

Just so you know, if you'd have waited you'd have gotten the cd & the dvd for a lot less. I made a pledge during their first televised concert in 2005 for $150.00 to get the cd & the dvd & a few months later I saw the Celtic Woman cd & the dvd in stores for $20 each.
The $150 wasn't the price of the DVD/CD combo. They were gifts for donating $150 to PBS, where this special airs. That's what "making a pledge" means. Had I the money, I'd make a pledge, too, and I wouldn't even want a reward for it. I love PBS.

I think it's wrong of the producers to pan away from the slightly heavier singer. She's very pretty and she's no less to look at than any of the others. It is sad that young girls can't see a very pretty young lady who is not the "ideal" shape. She needs to be shown, proudly, in their media. She needs to be presented as beautiful and desirable and no less than her peers. That's what young girls need to see, so that they may see themselves and not fret that they are not thin.

Here is the problem , not EVERYONE that opens there mouths about the mistreatment of peoples in other lands either know or have been there. Unless you have boots on the ground you never know how the rest of the world is living. I agree far too many military juntas and dictatorships exist, however the prevailing wisdom is the U.S. shouldn't get involved. So you tell me the liberal/progressive ideology is either do something or stay the hell out...you can't have it both ways.

Why does it seem (to me atleast) that people from other countries appreciate American more than people who have lived here their entire lives? America is the greatest country in the world, and these ladies realise it. Now we just need the rest of the citizens to realise it.
Obviously i'm generalizing, and not everyone fits into the above catageory.

My friend, it's because they've seen what's on the outside. Moat of us never realize what we've got until its' gone. Right now, we're dangerously close to losing what 10 generations of brave souls have won for us. But, in the long run, this scare was exactly what we needed. The good guys are going to win. generalization but you're right. I think a lot of people in other countries face oppression and lack of opportunities. people who are born and bred in america don't know what it's like to face oppression and live under dictatorships. so they don't appreciate it as much. we have to do better job of educating people about the world, bring back traditional values, stop media from lying to people.

true but not the only reason. sometimes they hate our way of life. freedom of speech. and America gets in their way because we want to spread freedom to others while they want to oppress. but there are also people born/raised here who hate this country and want to change it because they don't like racial mixing. with technological advancements, the world will continue to get smaller and more racial mixing so they should just accept the fact and stop hating.

I am not sure how to respond to that. Ideally, all of the races should freely mix with each other, and we should all live in peace and harmony. Yet voting patterns continually show that Blacks vote overwhelmingly for the America-destroying socialists, and even Hispanics overwhelmingly support the islamoMarxist Adolf Obama. We need to keep faith in the principles this country was founded on. not sure we would be better off with McCain. give it time. yes around the world, races historically have mixed freely. that's where diversity at genetic level came from. so racism might be a modern concept started 400 years ago.

Just so you know, if you'd have waited you'd have gotten the cd & the dvd for a lot less. I made a pledge during their first televised concert in 2005 for $150.00 to get the cd & the dvd & a few months later I saw the Celtic Woman cd & the dvd in stores for $20 each.

The $150 wasn't the price of the DVD/CD combo. They were gifts for donating $150 to PBS, where this special airs. That's what "making a pledge" means. Had I the money, I'd make a pledge, too, and I wouldn't even want a reward for it. I love PBS.

This song is an inspirational song for all America. These ladies are all exceptionally trained in renowned European music schools. Their talent is exceptional talent. It is much better to listen to than any other genre America has to offer.

I think it's wrong of the producers to pan away from the slightly heavier singer. She's very pretty and she's no less to look at than any of the others. It is sad that young girls can't see a very pretty young lady who is not the "ideal" shape. She needs to be shown, proudly, in their media. She needs to be presented as beautiful and desirable and no less than her peers. That's what young girls need to see, so that they may see themselves and not fret that they are not thin.

I don't think they pan away from her at all. She is actually probably the most well known out of all of them and the most loved. I actually think she is focused on the most, partly because she is proof that you don't have to be extremely skinny to be beautiful and famous. Chloe is an amazing singer and an amazing girl.
