just got a 335i 1 week ago . is much more responsive and comfortable than infiniti has much more torque and feels just as fast with 3 people in it. if you have the extra money BUY!!!!!!! the bmw!!!!!!!!!!!!you wont regret it at all

Both cars are amazing nuff said... The BMW 335I is probably faster than the G37 but it doesn't matter because the 335i isn't even the direct competitor to the G37; it's the 328i. So, yes, for the price, in this case Infiniti wins for sure. But (besides the cooling issue) the 335i should beat a G37. However, I look forward to the day when Infiniti creates a G to dethrone the 335i. It will be interesting

3:40 clearly the car was losing control, but the dude has the skills to counter steer it back. Most average drivers will lose control of the car right there in that situation unless the VDC is on, over dry pavement. That, happened at the same spot during each lap. The BMW can't handle that part. The Infiniti has better handling hands down.

Regarding the reliability issues i would say that when it come to German cars BMW s are a better bet when compared with some of the other crap that comes out of Germany. A BMW is a real sport car and the 335 drives like a dream. Comparing it with a Nissan with leather is just insulting. No Jap crap can ever give the driver the feeling a BMW gives.
You miss by around 15 years and the truth is I know a lot.. and as much as i like the 335 we have had frecuent overheating issues.. one big advantage on a turbo engine is: it compensates pressure at higher locations over an NA engine.. at 9000ft this is just nice.. but for achieving this fact turbos must spin at higher speed so regular overheating is not an option cause it will happen exponentially in this situation
I understand that but when looking at the two cars solely from the driving experience standpoint, the 335 is on another level. The G is Japanese made so naturally it is going to be more reliable when compared with its German counterparts. Despite any problems that the 335 might have it would be my choice over anything in its class.

the problem for the beamer is if you get the 328i, it's the same price as the g37 but less performence. that engine get about avarage reliability, so your good on that count. But if you want more performance than you need the 335i, this engine get more performance than the g37, but it's much more expensive and it goes back to it's german ways and breaks down too much. The g37 is the best combo for someone that wants to keep there car for more than 3 years

@Light23K stop arguing. a normal 328i costs around 34,000 dollars, a normal g37 costs around 38,000 dollars. with that 4,000 i can make the 328 10 times faster. so get your facts straight for one. second you probably own a honda civc and know nothing about power to weight ratio. a 328i does 0-60 in 5.9 sec while the g37 does 0-60 in 5.6 second. thats no real difference. plus my car would reck any Infiniti
I own the 328 (2009 with M Sport package 6MT) and unfortunately, for $4000 u can NOT make the 328 faster than the G37 :( there is not much that you can do to the NA engine. However, if you spend extra $10-12K, then you can put ARMA supercharger +exhaust on the 328 and it will be faster than the G37 and 335i :) thats just my 2 cents

Heck my buddy has a supercharged 2007 Z350 and it is rated at 430hp at the crank up from 306 stock and\or 360hp at the wheels... My 335i has a simple $400 dollar tune and 4.5 psi more boost for a nice 360 crank hp and I can out run my buddy? why? his car is 200+ lbs heavier that's how...

335i STARTS at 44grand without any features whatsoever. You can get the g37 with premium/sports/Navi at around 39 OUT THE DOOR.

Plus the 2011 bmw 135\335 have a single turbo.... not twin turbos like on this 2008 model bmw in this test... the new bmws are also alittle more powerful at least the 135 for 2011 is, it has 306 hp... 335 is still 300/300 The BMW is just the better over all car all around, it's that simple... the Infinity is not a track car where as the BMW car pull double duty as a street or track car...
@08turboSS Lets not forget the 50/50 weight distribution, that perfectly balances these 3 series. Not to mention the Autobahn style gearing for the pinnacle of road going adventures. I own a e90 330i and hell I can weave in and out, cut and progress G35/37 drivers... Also with the 50/50 weight balance, lets not forget the active steering package along with sport. These packages improve the cars ability in cornering, and turns. I dont ever thing infiniti's can keep up on the bends as well as BMWs

I'd rather have a 535i or any 5 series bmw. I checked out the BMW z4, 3 series, and 5 series. If you're gonna get a BMW it's not for "performance" it's more for luxury. My G35 is way faster (or at least feels faster) than a 5 series. Then again the 5 series I test drove (535i) had the check engine light on but sold within a week after I drove it, so it was probably nothing. The iDrive was way too confusing for me! So I got a G, for my wife, but she was pissed, she'd rather have a BMW. WTF!?!?!?

yeah i dont own a e92 but have been in a few and the interior is "tacky". the carbon fibre look is cool in smaller sports cars but when ur handing over the best part of 40 g's then quality leathers and woods are deserved............

quite a price difference between these cars when brand new...without flashing the 335i ecu, the performance is very similar tho the G is definitely a rougher car.

The 335 is the better performer, it's underrated at 300hp, that thing makes more like 350hp. But I spend most of the time inside the car, and I prefer the G interior to that of a BMW. I like bmw's look in my channel I have a 0-145 run on my friend's 2010 M3, and even he admits that the G interior is simply nicer than either his M3 or older 335i. BTW it's washi paper inspired but the trim is aluminum and there's an optional wood trim as well.

hmmmmn. cmon lets get the facts straight here. G37s is an aspirated 3.7 liter producing 330hp @ 5.2 sec 0-60 while a 335i twin turbo 3.0 produces 300hp @ 5.0 sec 0-60. I'm sorry these cars are tooo close for comparison, its all about the "driver". also stats and cost analysis shows turbos require additional maintenance and is costly - ask anyone with a turbo especially when you like to push it. hello oil leaks! i'll take a natural aspirated engine built 3.7 to a 4.2 anytime!
@zoom760 yeah if theres an idiot driving the 335 and a real driver driving the g37 than the g37 will win. but ur kinda dumb cuz 10 years ago bmw made an engine (s54 on the e46 m3) which is a 3.2 i6 that produces around 340 hp and did 0-60 in anywhere from 4.8 best case 5.2 worst case which still beats the infiniti that is probably a 5.2 best case 5.6 worst case... also the only problem the n54 (335i) engine has is the high pressure fuel pump which is covered for anyone and takes 1 day to fix
People seem to have this big miss conception that German made cars are far superior to Japanese made cars. It's not true what so ever. The Japs can make a higher quality car for less money. 3.7 = 330 hp, turbo charged 3.0 = 300. Put a turbo on the 3.7 and you'll get a 425 hp+ motor. Japanese is the new standard. Infiniti > Audi+Mercedes+BMW. I'm not hating, just stating facts.
@EraseMe32 look at the m3's that came out from 2000-2006 it had 333hp with a 3.2 Litre inline 6 naturally aspirated and does a 0-60 quicker than a g37. i can find a used one for about 20grand or even less depending n how much miles it has and have one of the best sports car ever made by bmw and still keep up with the japanese cars that are getting made TODAY lol pretty sad if u ask me

Both cars are amazing nuff said... The BMW 335I is probably faster than the G37 but it doesn't matter because the 335i isn't even the direct competitor to the G37; it's the 328i. So, yes, for the price, in this case Infiniti wins for sure. But (besides the cooling issue) the 335i should beat a G37. 3:40 clearly the car was losing control, but the dude has the skills to counter steer it back. Most average drivers will lose control of the car right there in that situation unless the VDC is on, over dry pavement. That, happened at the same spot during each lap. The BMW can't handle that part. The Infiniti has better handling hands down.

Regarding the reliability issues i would say that when it come to German cars BMW s are a better bet when compared with some of the other crap that comes out of Germany. A BMW is a real sport car and the 335 drives like a dream. Comparing it with a Nissan with leather is just insulting. No Jap crap can ever give the driver the feeling a BMW gives.

You miss by around 15 years and the truth is I know a lot.. and as much as i like the 335 we have had frecuent overheating issues.. one big advantage on a turbo engine is: it compensates pressure at higher locations over an NA engine.. at 9000ft this is just nice.. but for achieving this fact turbos must spin at higher speed so regular overheating is not an option cause it will happen exponentially in this situation

the problem for the beamer is if you get the 328i, it's the same price as the g37 but less performence. that engine get about avarage reliability, so your good on that count. But if you want more performance than you need the 335i, this engine get more performance than the g37, but it's much more expensive and it goes back to it's german ways and breaks down too much. The g37 is the best combo for someone that wants to keep there car for more than 3 years

@Light23K stop arguing. a normal 328i costs around 34,000 dollars, a normal g37 costs around 38,000 dollars. with that 4,000 i can make the 328 10 times faster. so get your facts straight for one. second you probably own a honda civc and know nothing about power to weight ratio. a 328i does 0-60 in 5.9 sec while the g37 does 0-60 in 5.6 second. thats no real difference. plus my car would reck any Infiniti

I own the 328 (2009 with M Sport package 6MT) and unfortunately, for $4000 u can NOT make the 328 faster than the G37 :( there is not much that you can do to the NA engine. However, if you spend extra $10-12K, then you can put ARMA supercharger +exhaust on the 328 and it will be faster than the G37 and 335i :) thats just my 2 cents

335i STARTS at 44grand without any features whatsoever. You can get the g37 with premium/sports/Navi at around 39 OUT THE DOOR.

Plus the 2011 bmw 135\335 have a single turbo.... not twin turbos like on this 2008 model bmw in this test... the new bmws are also alittle more powerful at least the 135 for 2011 is, it has 306 hp... 335 is still 300/300 The BMW is just the better over all car all around, it's that simple... the Infinity is not a track car where as the BMW car pull double duty as a street or track car...

@08turboSS Lets not forget the 50/50 weight distribution, that perfectly balances these 3 series. Not to mention the Autobahn style gearing for the pinnacle of road going adventures. I own a e90 330i and hell I can weave in and out, cut and progress G35/37 drivers... Also with the 50/50 weight balance, lets not forget the active steering package along with sport. These packages improve the cars ability in cornering, and turns. I dont ever thing infiniti's can keep up on the bends as well as BMWs

I'd rather have a 535i or any 5 series bmw. I checked out the BMW z4, 3 series, and 5 series. If you're gonna get a BMW it's not for "performance" it's more for luxury. My G35 is way faster (or at least feels faster) than a 5 series. Then again the 5 series I test drove (535i) had the check engine light on but sold within a week after I drove it, so it was probably nothing. The iDrive was way too confusing for me! So I got a G, for my wife, but she was pissed, she'd rather have a BMW. WTF!?!?!?

Who needs to scroll through a menu and look at a screen while driving. When you can get your lazy ass finger to push a radio button that automatically plays music as compared to taking your eyes off the road? I prefer basic interior, as it allows me to have the most concentration/communication between the driver, car, and the road.

let me see.....bmw has a 3litre straight 6 and the infiniti 3.7 v6, but the performance is pretty identical!?!?. bmw has world renound reliability and infiniti is questionable, and to top it off the bmw looks like lesbian porn and the infiniti looks like a cross between a nissan 350 z, a toyota corolla and a prius!!!!!!!!!!....ummmm, give me the beemer! lol :-D

@MrVocalist101 your argument makes no sense, the 335 has a inline 6 cyl yes..but its twin turbo! so if it can just barely compete with a naturally aspirated v6 thats only .2 liters larger then why would you waste the money? The G37 looks similar to a 350/370z because that's what it is based off of..hence the same engine and manufacturer (Infiniti = Nissan) Im not hating on bmw either, i have owned a 525, a 325 and a 320i w/no issues..im just saying know what you are talking about dood

The 335 is the better performer, it's underrated at 300hp, that thing makes more like 350hp. But I spend most of the time inside the car, and I prefer the G interior to that of a BMW. Just personal taste, take as you like I don't care about some troll in YouTube commenting to posts that are months old.

I like bmw's look in my channel I have a 0-145 run on my friend's 2010 M3, and even he admits that the G interior is simply nicer than either his M3 or older 335i. BTW it's washi paper inspired but the trim is aluminum and there's an optional wood trim as well.

hmmmmn. cmon lets get the facts straight here. G37s is an aspirated 3.7 liter producing 330hp @ 5.2 sec 0-60 while a 335i twin turbo 3.0 produces 300hp @ 5.0 sec 0-60. I'm sorry these cars are tooo close for comparison, its all about the "driver". also stats and cost analysis shows turbos require additional maintenance and is costly - ask anyone with a turbo especially when you like to push it. hello oil leaks! i'll take a natural aspirated engine built 3.7 to a 4.2 anytime!

@zoom760 yeah if theres an idiot driving the 335 and a real driver driving the g37 than the g37 will win. but ur kinda dumb cuz 10 years ago bmw made an engine (s54 on the e46 m3) which is a 3.2 i6 that produces around 340 hp and did 0-60 in anywhere from 4.8 best case 5.2 worst case which still beats the infiniti that is probably a 5.2 best case 5.6 worst case... also the only problem the n54 (335i) engine has is the high pressure fuel pump which is covered for anyone and takes 1 day to fix

People seem to have this big miss conception that German made cars are far superior to Japanese made cars. It's not true what so ever. The Japs can make a higher quality car for less money. 3.7 = 330 hp, turbo charged 3.0 = 300. Put a turbo on the 3.7 and you'll get a 425 hp+ motor. Japanese is the new standard. Infiniti > Audi+Mercedes+BMW. I'm not hating, just stating facts.

@EraseMe32 look at the m3's that came out from 2000-2006 it had 333hp with a 3.2 Litre inline 6 naturally aspirated and does a 0-60 quicker than a g37. i can find a used one for about 20grand or even less depending n how much miles it has and have one of the best sports car ever made by bmw and still keep up with the japanese cars that are getting made TODAY lol pretty sad if u ask me

So what about this, the nissan GTR costs 90k and they compare it with supercars that cost over 250. What car would you compare an e46 m3 with an infiniti then?

And the new 335i with oil coolers killed the new g37s so im not crying. tthe lfa is overpriced and is doing horrible in sales. yes japs build good cars with mpg like the leaf, yaris, or base model civics not high performance cars but so does european cars. you just cant give up the fact that OLD bmws can beat new inifinitis lol
