I like weird games because you're walking into someone else's world. When the world is really broken there's not much you can do. It was funny but sorry you had to suffer through that!
Alright, I am sorry, but it's not possible to be through the FULL VERSION with 7 pages of solution without PRINTED WALKTHROUGH.
It does not work for ADVENTURES. There are not much games of that genre left. Though there was ADVENTURE (LIGHTHOUSE, SIERRA, 1996), I could not pass through even with SOLUTION, I always forgot some detail or item, and let say 10 hours later I realized that I was missing it, and could not complete the game and items were different each time.
There was guy at IGDA, who invited to the great job with huge salary. I did not think he was kidding. I even called my travel agent. When he said he was kidding I told him what I thought, and they banned me.
I thought you would print the solution which is in Demo package, or at least follow compass on the right up corner of the screen.
You really really should print the solution (it's quest/adventure, these games are usually played with PRINTED solution). Solution for the whole game is 7 pages, for Demo - a half of a page.
So, my 5.5 years work looks so stupid on this trailer. Why did not you follow solution / trailer?
I intend to make another video after reading the solution, yes. Sorry I went the wrong way in this video. But I still think it's a problem in the game if the player is allowed to go somewhere they're not supposed to go. If you always blame the players for not doing the right thing or not reading the solution, you won't sell many copies.
I don't post on the IGDA forums, it's probably a bad forum anyway. You should post on indiegamer and tigsource.
There is something bad with the range of OpenGL for your video card (I mean the black screen). It uses range my guess is some 1e-6 - 1e-3 , I love it and your videocard does not support it.
It should work with GeForce4 Ti +, AMD Athlon 2500+
Is it laptop and some Savage 3d 32 Mb videocard? What is the computer brand? How did you stream? It's not compatible with Fraps or something, to stream you should use a pair of MATROX cards
I see, it's a real trouble, I will start fixing right now (the same bug is on the Savage 3d 32Mb because of range, I am sad to see that they stopped supporting this range in this great new model of 8500GT. But there might be more such bugs then. Will fix, thanks.
My best computer of development was GeForce 7600, AMD Sempron 3400, so you have your 40fos with Fraps on this great new model, right? (Does Fraps still show framerate in the left upper corner?)
Pair of Matrox cards are some video receiver/transmitter on 2 computers, but if you computer that new, probably you are fine with Fraps if you had 40fps (not less) at 1024x768.
it actually looks quite interesting,. graphic wise anyway,. like a broken saterday morning kids show,. but i would need opium to sit throught the moveing around and, er,. puzzles,. .
I agree, if it were faster (the player needs to be at least 10x faster while walking) and had more action it'd be great, but it's just so slow to walk around that it feels boring to play.
I liked listening to your narration.

That's kind of terrible, they shouldn't play jokes like that.

It's a desktop with NVIDIA 8500 GT video card. I was using FRAPS to record.
Could you explain what you mean by streaming using a pair of MATROX cards?

FRAPSs does show framerate, but you can turn it off in the options, so I didn't notice what it was. I'll check the framerate next time I play.

This game looks more kickass the more I see it!
Thanks for this. The audio appears to go out of sync, though.
