  • I sang this in a karaoke in Skegness, I arrived there on NE train, some of the people who were on the train also were in the pub, it was ace :p

  • Timeless 90s classic 1...

  • lol this song is great same national expres are shit, their east coast franchise was a joke and they are losing east anglia and c2c as to the buses im not sure

  • Never thought I'd hear a song about National Express, but here it is. Excellent! :D

  • If you think this vid is as good as or better than the real one THUMBS UP

  • This song makes me laugh

  • very welll done uve got the video and music timing spot on LOVE IT x

  • I just love this record!

  • its just so catchy

  • love this song

  • Does anyone know a Divine Comedy song which is kinda big and epic and includes a countdown from 10 as part of it? I saw Mr Hannon do it on a tv show once and cannot find it anywhere, thanks for any help

  • I'm guessing Here Comes The Flood from the album Fin de Siècle. Doesn't have a countdown in it, but is very epic

  • One sleepless night I remember Mr. Hannon on the Craig Ferguson show (Late Late Show) here in the states.

He sang "Gin Soaked Boy". He counted off, can't remember if he went to 10. hope that helps.

  • Hey man the Divine Comedy Song that where Neil Hannon counts down from 10 is called 10 Seconds to Midnight

  • Nat X not much fun when you have been waiting for over two hours at Heathrow bus sta after long flight and is delayed at midnight and you want to get home......(Next time I'll take the car)

  • Priceless track!

  • don't fly, take the national express

    manchester-london £5-£12

    (X)

  • Bloody hell £5-12?, thats well cheap, it costs me £10 Manchester - Crewe with a railcard and its only 40 odd miles. I'm being well ripped off.

  • Forgot to mention, "National Express" is actually a flee of buses which are based in the UK. I guess pictorial reference had to avoided in Hannons original promo video, however every student/budget traveller will be well aware of the hilarity of the lyrics...great video tho...

  • "actually" its a fleet not a flee, and i'll think you'll also find they they have a flee sorry fleet of trains running down the east coast and also a few other lines ;)

  • Comment removed

  • nobody does. People like that need sites like this to make them feel smart, to fullfill an average futile life.

  • now thats the truth...you certainly do rock ceara...smiling...

  • I think video is way better than the promotional one...good work dude

  • "Its hard to get by when your ass is the size of a small country" Love it.

  • can anyone help in remembering the name of the song by divine comedy where the dad is trying to fly home for his sons football match but meets alot of difficulties, many thanks

  • Yep, that would be "Come Home Billy Bird", from the 2004 album "Absent Friends".

  • many thanks, wish you well

  • Just had to catch up on this song after suffering after a nearly nine hour journey from Bristol to Bradford, not even a jolly hostess any more alas. I did have the screaming children, smelly man, overbooking fiasco and the driver who couldn't finish the journey as he had been driving too long, Joys. Love it.

  • why have they never used this song to advertise the National Express? So Tragic those Advertising Executives have never used this!

  • Erm, they did...

  • as a advert for taking the train? i used to go to hull from Mos Eisley space port...sorry victoria coach station. it was quicker to learn how to drive.

  • when your arse is the size of a small country....lol.....i like that bit.....xd/

  • so do I, he tells it like it is!!!

  • Me too...always makes me laugh.

  • Well that's technically true about a coach company but they now run Great Northern Eastern Railways. from Sea Containers Ltd

the toilet was really fouls smelling

  • nicely done!

  • well done madam, wonderful video...

  • this is really good!

  • National Express is a Train Company that took over GNER & is now called NXEC

  • no its isnt, its a bloody coach company

  • Well it is a coach company, but I think that they did recently take over some train franchises in England

  • Very nice, though you do know the NE is a bus company right?

  • Yes, but bus footage is a bit harder to find. Sort of like good crisps.

  • @madamewoselle Thanx for posting this m8

  • @noclai1692 NE serves as a transport company, and was originally a Bus company

  • @noclai1692 Actually they also run Rail and Tram services.
