I have a Philips goLITE Blu, which is very portable, doesn't have UV issue and you don't have to look directly in it, yay! But this was a discovery I made with a psychiatrist a while ago, the lamp is soo great! I love that it's 'SAD' in English, in Dutch it's 'winter depression'. I should try and use it all year round too, just for the habit. We have DST too btw ;-)
Sunlight is actually very good for you and can reduce the odds of getting skin cancer if used properly. It is sunBURNS that can cause skin cancer, so it is important to get the right amount of exposure. Also, it has been shown that chemical sunscreens can actually increase the odds of getting skin cancer due to the way the chemicals react to the UV rays. - State of Oregon Certified Tanning Consultant
Be sure to wear sun screen because sun lamps exhibit UV rays just as the sun would to greatly reduce your chances of skin cancer. I personally dont like those things, it can do dmg like a tanning bed.
@DeathDealer48 all i know is they exhibit UV rays which is what causes skin cancer so one should severily reduce their exposure to sun lamps unless ofcourses wearing the necessary protection.
I have a SAD light but I have only used it during the winter. However, I wake up frequently during the night and have a hard time falling asleep and am ALWAYS tired in the morning. I will have to get it out and try using it all year round.
Ugh! We have the time change here in the UK. It drives me up the wall haha! I never thought about sun lamps before but I may actually consider getting one!! Thank you for the vid hon xxx
Oh my gosh! Thank you so much for this little tid bit because we've tried every kind of meds to get me to go to sleep and wake up and nothing is working and it's causing much more worse stuff and this just seems so much more better. Plus I love the sun so Yay! :D Thanks beautiful! <3
I was diagnosed with SAD about 8 years ago. Back in Holland I used to go to the hospital to use theirs and when I moved up to Sweden (even less light in winter) I bought my own. I can also highly recommend it!
Another symptom to look out for is snacking in the evening. Snacking on sweets and/or bread (more than what is normal for you).
And yes, here in Europe we change the clock twice a year as well and I know they do the same in Australia too. ;)

You should put more words in your tags like sleep troubles. It would help more people find your videos :)

I have a sun lamp for my seasonal depression, works very well when I'm patient enough to use it routinely

Here in Brazil we also have this hour change, once a year, during summer. It does mess up with my internal clock!
Love your videos.
