  • The motherboard on those things are very very tiny :|... I just got one off of ebay, b/c i needed one to handel some programs with a OBDII to usb. So I see what is happening in the car while I drive. I needed xp OS and something portable, and with this I will be able to do a lot of inforamtion while driving :D. I guess i will put Linux, and windows 7 along with XP. Just b/c im bad ass that way. Thanks for the review nice job.:)

  • can you upgrade ram to 2 gig?

  • i hate that you have to buy a 40$ external display adapter if you need it they never include it!

  • Might be gettin one later :P

  • ): why Windows XP? hmm. I like Windows Vista better...

  • @lovehysteriics

Windows Vista is not recommended for netbooks. Personally, I think Windows 7 is the best OS for netbooks.

  • that is sooooo cool.....im savin up my allowance to get 1

  • same with me

  • i have one, it's really cool! i'm even using it right now. just to let u know, it's a Windows XP, not a Windows Vista.

  • i am using one of these right now

  • same here

  • i realy want one. i have a few questions. do u pay as u use it?

    wat are its additional programs?

and can u use microsoft word?

  • lol ya i mean wich one ima buy the same thing for 10079.99 dollar's and that one cost 200 dollars. not??? you stuck up paying foty dollas for like 2years. blankmessage tv no it.

  • i want to get one of these really badly. whats the catch to these. what am i really paying. and what is all the verizon stuff behind it?

  • some sort of ten year contract (you know typical Verizon)

  • well it say's you have to pay 39.99 mothly for brodband i was like okay??

  • Comment removed

  • internet propably ten times bette with mozilla firefox

  • it is worth it because i talked to verizon today, and the 70 dollars a month is for the chip inside the computer that gets you the wireless, pretty much you buy the computer and you pay 70 dollars for the wifi card.....

  • Hp Mini 1035r is a mirror version of this except there's a ram slot ofr a 2 gig upgrade. This is actually a nice laptop as is. if you add a 6 cell, it looses its slimness and lightness. Plus why do u want to get stuck with another Verizon contract when you can get a Dell Mini 10v for $299!!

  • Itunes on this? Yes?No?

  • si....

  • god that thing is sexy

  • yes it the memory is upgradeable to 2gb ddr2 you unlock the battery siwtch and put pen in the hole move it right the memory slot will pop open voila there u go !!! same as on mini 1000

  • do yu have to be wit verizon to get that notebook?

  • to get the laptop no but to get it at a low price yes

  • i baught the same one for 350 dollars...

for 200 dollars is not a low price

when your stuck paying 70 bucks a month for 2 years...

    you do the math

  • this netbook is only 80gig, 1gig ram (non upgradable) , 3-cell (average 2hours on full charge)...The netbook is around $300 if u buy it without verizon contract. With Verizon contract ...ur stuck with a 2 years $40/month data plan....do the math...ull make verizon rich....do ur research people before u jump on the wagon .....

  • yea if you do the math its not even wroth it

  • all in all how much does it cost?

  • only $200

  • Sure wish you could charge it with USB, I hate lugging a brick around with it.

  • That is tiny!

  • LOL my favorite line: "Full QWERTY keyboard." I should hope so. Old habits eh.

  • do you have to use 3g to get onto the internet? or can you get onto the internet via wifi and not pay the 40$/month fee?

  • Of course you can.

If you don't wana pay $40 a month for the internet then you have to buy it unsubsidized from HP.

  • lol SD shooter................ah mah eye!! lawsuit???jk, hmmm interesting, mini laptop, be cool if you could play bionic comando on that though, lol not sure how but it'd be cool.

  • any other operating system would require too much memory

  • *caugh*

    linux, solaris, bsd

    *caugh*

  • caugh? cough?

  • i see, thanks for reply

  • How does this compare with the mini ASUS laptops?

i was considering purchasing one but confused.

  • I haven't used an EEE PC. I'm really only interested in netbooks with built-in 3G connections.

  • it's to small

  • Woah, i want one. seriosly i want one. "2 year data contract required for either $40/mo (250MB/mo) or $60/mo (5GB/mo)". Thats rather unattractive considering their only barely subsidizing it.

  • Hello, I am in the business. I bought this unit directly from HP 3 months ago. It cost me about $650. We are subsidizing these more than our phones. The integrated data card also adds signifigant cost / value to the unit. Thanks.

  • ah, i keep relating the net book category as low cost olpc style laptops. Thats changing it seems. Sony and hp are the leaders of this shift. wonder if i could get it cheaper with linux.

The added cost explains the enhanced specs.

  • what is a netbook

  • another word for a laptop.

  • how does it "feel" to use it, compared to a larger laptop? (say 15") ?

Interested in buying a 10" netbook...

  • The screen feels cramped. Oddball resolution lacks vertical pixels, IMO.

  • Nice laptop I got an hp Mini 1000 Kinda like that one but doesn't go with Verizon

  • Comment removed

  • when is it avail.

  • May 17th for $199 after $50 rebate. 2 year data contract required for either $40/mo (250MB/mo) or $60/mo (5GB/mo).

  • did you say "30 cell" battery...i think you ment 3 cell battery...LOL

  • Did I say 30? Oh well. Yes, 3 cell battery.
