    I was wondering whether it would be workable to soak the pecans in rejuvelac so that the cake would not only be raw, and chocolaty, but also it would be cultured as well, with even lower phytate/antinutrients/etc.

    Thoughts?

    I have extra virgin and the smell alone makes me sick!

    Also do you use stevia? It's a great alternative to the quite unhealthy agave nectar that you use.

  • Great unique raw recipe for cacao cake... but I noticed on your "Final" recipe at the beginning that there was no mention of bananas. Did you decide you didn't like them, or you just forgot them?

  • Oh gosh, woops! Good eye, I just forgot them. Bananas are essential to this recipe, its how I accidentally came up with it in the first place!

  • Great! Hey, what do you think of Alissa Cohen's Date Nut Torte recipe? It isn't as fancy as yours .. but it is very moist. I had it last year for my Bday, and my wife is making me another raw cake for my bday tomorrow. I wanna try yours!

  • I can't say I've ever tried hers, but it sounds good! I would definitely recommend trying mine, but don't forget the 3 bananas!! haha *woops* Have a happy bday! Also the cake goes great with chocolate sauce (explained in video 3) but you can experiment with other sauces as well :) good luck!
