  • @ravello99 the edge with his multi-effects learn the music......

  • @bricerock My comment was tongue-in-cheek. They have a click track that is triggering midi devices. On this particular song, it is keyboards.

  • great song

  • Hi, I'm Nick, and I'm addicted to Miracle Drug.

  • I think this is the best miracle drug live, does anybody disagree?

  • @mathbrmath no, chech u2vevo, and you can find the miracle drug live on a stage that have so many green light, it's beautiful.

  • @Bhimbim021107

I know that one. I don't think it's better than this. This version has something special, the people has a different energy and the stage is even bigger

  • One of the most beautiful songs, that i've heard. The Edge is a class higher than any other guitarist in my opinion.

  • This song is so beautiful. It was this song that opened my eyes for U2, and i have loved them more than any other band since. The Edge is my idol I begun electric guitar last friday.

  • What I like about The Edge is that his melodies are so simple. He doesn't seem to have to impress anyone with a crazy guitar solo, but finds the beauty in the simple things, which he has often used hours and hours finding, and showing that it can be the most simple things in life that's the most important. I love him as a guitar player, and i love him as a private person. I think he's the worlds best guitarist, all-time.

  • damn that's a cool stage

  • It's a verry nice song

  • It's a verry nice song!

  • I just noticed the voice of Edge sounds almost exactly like Bono's and that just made me feel the chills cause it was just Awesome HAHA I LOVE U2 and I wish to see them Live

  • @SugarW1thC0ffee OMG I had never seen a video of this song and I never noticed it was Edge singing that part XD they really sound alike!!

  • This song is one of the most good songs of U2 ;)

  • cette chanson est magnifique et je ne la connaissais pas.les paroles, la mélodie, tt est beau............

  • This is one of the best songs by U2. And I love how Edge sings after the solo...it's just like Bono's voice.

  • i consider the edge as a minimalist.

He barley plays. just listen to the introduction. no more than 10 notes total. its the way he plays that just makes the sound so rich and full. the delay. just makes its way through into your ears. theres nothing wrong with being a minimalist sounds just as good. the intro to where the streets have no name. is a D chord with a suspension arpeggio. and its just as awesome and famous as th intro of sweetchild of mine.

    cant wait till july 5th

    God Bless

  • Ya know the edge actually has a better more beautiful voice than bono but bono has such a stage presence that just cant be matched, and his voice overall suits the bands sound perfectly

  • quienes habran sido esos 10 a los que no les gusto esta cancion....

  • The Edge sings that part. Wow! i didn't realize it. It sounds great. My friend and I love to play this song when we go places that are further away. We may sound horrible but we love to sing this song.

  • The guitar is great on this track but Bono's vocal line really makes it !!! "the songs in your eyes"

  • Proud to be IRISH because of these guys.

  • @skatecm1 They almost make me wish I was Irish

  • Uno de mis preferidos

  • U2 thank you from my heart for this revolution you give us through yout music....!

  • Great, it's one of my favourites songs of U2.

  • Im hoping (Praying) for a Miracle Drug to fix Bono ready for Glastonbury 2010.

  • @bulb050 not gonna happen. Sadly U2 has pulled out of playing at Glastonbury. I hope Bono makes a full recovery

  • I have this video...but ... HD...1080p.

    This...Beautiful song by U2.

  • This is my miracle drug. U2 is my miracle drug.

  • Hello Friend :)

Thanks you for thinking of me, very kind of you and I truly appreciate it.....

I'm fine, we all here just have to handle difficult situations as you can see...

Anyway, you made a great choice!! U2 are simply my favourite.....!!!

Sending you a wonderful song, not very well known though...

    Greetings from Greece :-)

  • The interlude with multiple voices gives me chills. It's a great one, actually my favourite by them, shame that it's not more popular.

  • yea ! your are totally correct apoptosis12, the general public who arent huge u2 fans only get to hear the tracks that are released into the ever dying charts... there is a lot, lot more to u2, there are many hidden gems in every album they have made.

if "joe" public got a chance to hear these "hidden gems" , im sure u2 would have a lot more fans. htdaab is a beautifull and simple masterpiece. :))

  • fell in love with Chicago too... sitting in a hotel room... these guys are a class act the fact they've shared and experienced their turmoils, even despite being superstars is of great importance.

  • thought is was about love >but its about a boy who couldnt move only his head a tiny bit and couldn't speak and needed a drug so he could type with his head !! freaking amazing song !!!!wat is yur miracle drug ????????Love the lites spinning :P

  • I've enough of romantic love ! :)

  • edge's part of the vocals is awesome!

  • the edge is one of the greatest guitarists ever!!

  • first time i heard this song i was like alright then after listening to it i cant stop listen. U2 is one of the best bands around. There up beat and emotional songs are great

  • The Edge is my idol!! YOU ROCK EDGE!! LOVE U2 TOO!! :D

  • one of the best!

  • Bono, Bono, Bono !!!

  • Edge sounds exactly like BONO!!!!

  • lmao right!!! i thought the same thing when he sings that part he sounds like him

  • @desasterz yeah but he has a distinct voice too!

  • @desasterz dude on the album does edge sing it to..:P but i you've got it right edge sounds very nice:D

  • @desasterz try to hear yahweh live from chicago

  • Possibly the best U2 song ever.

  • @reprobateDB "Mercy", "Sometimes you..." , "Kite" are better.. (in my opinion)

  • ¡me encanta esta canción!

    U2, EL MEJOR!!

  • Shivers down the spine....

  • Me encanta y me recuerda a una persona

  • Beneath the noise

    Below the din

    I hear your voice

    It's whispering

    In science and in medicine

    "I was a stranger

    You took me in"

Great peace of vocals there by edge

  • They deffinetly started their own Genre. U2 Rocks.

  • These 4 guys created the best musical compositions in history. When it comes to music not even the great masters can touch these guys. That is my opinion. I love classical music, but U2's music is something else.

  • It's so amazing, my favourite song from U2, dunno why i love it so much, it's just beatiful :-) and I love the interlude, where Bono, Edge and Larry are singing, it's incredible... U2 rocks!!

  • muy shida la rola

me gusto xq la vi en la pelicula 7 dias

    saludos

    desde Acapulco Mexico

  • Of course Edge is singing. Why wouldn't they put his beautiful voice on a studio recording? He has the voice of an angel that compliments Bono's perfectly. God these guys are so great my goosebumps get goosebumps!

  • Ignore rhinos111. The Edge sings on the recording as well as the live version. This is clearly evident to anyone with a working ear. The reason you can differentiate more in the live version is the lack of studio post-processing of the sound. But rest assured, the backing vocals on the studio album are from Edge, not Bono.

  • see, i have the studio version too, and it is the edge, that rhino guy is just a dumbass.

  • @iamnotbono00 How do you know this? "Working ear" doesn't cut it. I'm not saying I know, but I would be interested in finding out.

Anyway, it is very likely Bono sang it and as super-nerd level fans know the Edge can imitate Bono very proficiently when he needs to. I had a friend that insisted the Edge sang the high parts in "The Fly" because he does he did it to perfection on the Zoo TV tour, but in the book U2 At the End of the World it is clarified that Bono overdubbed that part. Cheers.

  • awesome like in the disc

  • This song is a drug to me. Listened to it once, cant stop. Now that im a drug addict, i need to go explore and find more.

    God Bless

Love is in the world, to love is in the air.

  • Couldn't said it better myself!

    God bless ;D

  • lol, whos this 'god' everyones talking about?!

    Thank bono, not god!

    Peace.

  • We're talking about the God who made you!

  • Oh cool, and therefore the god who created children with bone cancer? children who died in childbirth?

Or was that the devil lol?

  • simplesmente a melhor banda do mundo

    u2 4 ever.

  • First time i heard this song i thought bono was singing the edges part, its weird how great of a voice the edge has

    3:00 BEST PART EVER.

  • you are an idiot, its jsut for the live show he sang that part

    the actual recording is bono

  • NO NO NO NO he sings that part idiot, i have it on my ipod. edge sings

    beneath the noise

    below the din

i hear your voice its whisperin

    in science and in medicine

i was a stranger you took me in

    then bono sings

the songs are in your eyes

i see them when u smile.

  • you might be right, but it sounds better with him singing.

  • haha! Wrong, it was the Edge.

  • wow, the guitar riff is really captivating...

  • more proof 'How to dismantle an atomic bomb' was a great album

  • I'm so addicted to this song

  • me too! discovered it last week!

  • The best song off the album along with "A Man and A Woman".

  • @XenSmithy I can't stop listening to it

  • @SugarW1thC0ffee Me too

  • @XenSmithy Me too, absolutely marvellous

  • @XenSmithy so i am

  • @XenSmithy ´cuz it´s a miracle drug¡¡¡¡¡

  • love it, me gusto mas que al version de album

  • Tis song is totally under rated..love it..one of their best,,the edge's guitar riffs move me !!

  • 2:45...better and better everytime you listen to it. Love that part Edge ROCKS!

  • yupp thats a kiss lick , doesnt it sound like when we were young by the killers?

  • Yes, and if you ask me, the Killers ripped off this song for "when we were young".

  • yupp thats a defo

  • @reprobateDB

What part of the song are you referring to? Because from my point of view ( Im a guitarist) these two song are completely different. Im just guesing and saying that you think they ripped off the solo right? Yes the solos do sound the same not note wise but structure and the way theyve been played yes. Otherwise they are 2 complete diferent songs. I think for you to say "the Killers ripped off this song for "when we were young" is a very general statement and I disagree with you.

  • Firstly, I like both song's. I think they are both brilliant. But if you check this song from 2:45 to 2:52 and compare it to "When we were young" from 3:48 to 4:00, it sound's very similar. Maybe the note's are different, but could they not have copied the structure? You can play the same song using a different note, but it's still the same song. Anyway, maybe "ripped off" is too strong, but it does raise doubts.

  • I actually regret that the main public does not know this song. Love this song big time. I also think "How to dismantle an atomic bomb" was a great album and they could have pulled out one extra single.. Miracle Drug. The guitar in the beginning is one of the best melodies I ever heard. Simple and beautiful.

  • @Apoptosis12 totally agree

  • @Apoptosis12 amen brother

  • @Apoptosis12

    I so agree! ^_^

  • @Apoptosis12 I agree!!! Ive been listening to this song a lot lately! Love U2 :)

  • @Apoptosis12 yeah man thats the best thing about the edge his stuff is so simple yet awesome i could listen to his stuff all day

  • @Apoptosis12 so agree

  • Sounds great! But when does U2 not sound great? Awesome...

  • extreme67, must you comment all u2 vids with "U2 wrote Miami"?

  • One of the greatest songs ever written :-)

  • would've really like to have heard this on the 360 tour. i'm not complaining though :D

  • I'm so glad that other ppl appreciate this song. This song has been in my back pocket on repeat for the last 6 years or so (when I was 13), and no one even so much mentions this as a notable song of theirs....To me, there will always be City of Shining Lights, Walk on, etc. but this one will always be special to me because it was actually this song that hooked me onto U2 (Btw, I pretend to play along to the guitar solo at around 2:45 or so everytime I listen to it =P, ppl think I'm nuts)

  • i agree this song is great

  • Agree with the comments:

THIS is one of their best songs

EDGE is simple but always perfect and effective enough

Love the LYRICS, and the MELODY - thats what makes a GREAT SONG, isnt' it?

    .. the Jman..

  • The thing i always dug about U2 was not their style of rock but how they just didn;t give a fuck what evrybody else in rock thought about what they were doing and what they were believing in. I respect that.

  • One of their best songs

  • fantastic track! Edge's solo is sooo amazing: simple but so powerfull... love u2

  • U2... the best band!
