  • HEY... My M&P 9c is ejecting the casings at my forehead. Whats up with that? I also had two failures to eject. I only put 50 rounds through it so far because I wasn't sure what the heck is going on seeing as though this gun is not known for problems. HELP?

  • @MindBeyondAverage Sounds like an ejector problem, S&W has a lifetime warranty, just call 'em up and send it back to 'em so they can fix it.

  • TAKE THE LOADED CLIP OUT!!! NOT VERY PROFESS

    IONAL

  • @8124281 Just because your scared of a loaded gun and aren't profecient enuff with a gun to handle it loaded doesn't mean everyone is. I'm perfectly competent with this firearm, and all the firearms I own, I'm trained to handle the firearms I own and I don't need to take the MAGAZINE (not a clip) out of the gun to properly handle it.

  • I just bought a m&p 9c i had it for a week now shot it today for the first time and its great .

  • @iigohardx418 Congrats on the new pistol!

  • Nice review man I got the M&P 40c

  • @guitarzNgunz Yeah they're great pistols

  • Thanks!

  • Great vid! I just ordered mine today (9c). My first gun so I am exited to get a good one. I found a website that is selling guns for cheaper than I see anywhere els. Got this one for $439. No shipping or tax. $5 insurance. Can't wait to take it out!

  • @MindBeyondAverage Congratulations, its a great pistol, your gonna love it!

  • @MindBeyondAverage great u mind sharing the site

  • @Ridaz4LifeR6 Jetguns Dot Com

  • Ever had a problem with slide bite? I know they put the beaver tail on the full size models to avoid that. Just wondering if that's been a problem or ever even happened.

  • @BSUCards2012 I've never had an issue with it, but I don't have very meaty hands

  • @NeverEnuffAmmo Yeah, I have big hands, but they aren't very meaty. Thanks for the input. I'm looking at picking one of these up and am just doing some research on it.

  • @BSUCards2012 Well its a great gun, try it out and I'm sure you'll like it

  • could you get a polygonal after market barrel for it.?

  • @cyborgee1 As of the last time I checked, there were no poly barrels made for this aftermarket

  • I have the same exact one as yours and it made me a convert. Form, fit & function is just unbeatable. No trigger finger fatigue, scalloped like slide serrations that really grabs, felt recoil a "lot" less compared to a G19 or an XD9 Service w/c is really weird & the 3 back straps that fits anyone. Put some TruGlo TFO's on em & wow it becomes the perfect CCW carry. It goes w me this M&P9C more than my G19 or 23 now. 12+1 w some 124+P & an extra mag, pshh, lol! Great review by the way.

  • @daddyo702 Absolutely agree, it's a fantastic pistol, thanks 4 watching!

  • i hve the simga models too and i havent had any problems with it and i hve put 3000 rounds threw it so i resant that comment you made. but nice vid by the way.

  • @infinitebanger I based that comment on the fact that I've owned a Sigma before and had the frame pins back out of it while firing, I was also at the range with my brother in law who owned one when while firing the internal portion of the slide lock broke off and completely jammed up the action after firing, and I was also at the range when another person who I didn't know had the ejector break off on their Sigma, so I wasn't trying to offend anyone, its just from personal experience

  • Matt have you carried this gun with a pocket holster? I have been thinking of getting this one for pocket carry. I' have also been thinking of the Walther PPS, but if the M&P fits in a pocket holster, i rather carry the m&p (more rounds).

  • @johnmed3 You'd have to have a good sized pocket to carry this in, and I'm not sure how many pocket holsters will fit it.

  • I have the 357sig full size as my edc.

  • @johnmed3 It's a great gun isn't it ....... I'd love to get one in 357, just can't afford the ammo ..... lol

  • Nice review Matt!

  • @Everything isFire

Faced same decision today re: the XD sub compact.

It boiled down to ergonomics. I wanted to love the less expensive XD. My reasoning: If reliability, accuracy, and ability to re-acquire target are the same, then the fact that the M&P 9c feels like an extension of my hand, almost perfectly balanced is all I needed to know.

Will buy the full sized M&P 9 for range use. Incredible feel and balance "in my hands."

PS: Thx for the review and to my local gun shop!

  • @fauxpaws Thanks 4 watching bro!

  • pretty kitty you got there.

  • Nice review! I opted to get a different make when I was deciding on my first handgun in 9mm. I'll be looking at this again for a compact.

  • @EverythingisFire It's definitely worth taking a close look at next time your looking to buy

  • @NeverEnuffAmmo

Definitely. On my small list is this, Ruger SR9c, maybe an XD compact/sub-compact.

  • I tried a glock 19 & a m&p 9 today & I ended up buying the m&p. I liked both triggers although they were different. My glock's shot group were tight but high & to the left of the target. My m&p's shot group were much tighter and were all in the small target I used. What was more amazing was that I even shot the target dead in the center.

  • @6eg Yeah, some guns just fit some people better, and the M&P is a great pistol.

  • ..."all the good shit" well said!

  • @That1jazzguy Thanks bro!

  • i kinda wish the compact had the beaver-tail like its bigger brothers but i think im gonna roll with this one for my concealed carry piece. and its made in America.

  • @duke3oh8 Yeah the beavertail would be a nice addition, but either way it's a hell of a pistol!

  • I don't think the M&P will ever win over all of the Glock fans. If this pistol had every amazing feature in the world Glock fans will stick to their Glocks. I personally own neither right now but am on my way to getting an M&P. I was just stating a fact from an unbiased standpoint. Just try and picture "Gunny" endorsing a S&W M&P...lol

  • @DrPain762 I agree that unless attitudes change greatly towards Glocks then the M&P will probably never see the fan base the Glock has, but realisticaly it's every bit the gun the Glock is, but it's all a matter of personal opinion, and just like some people will swear the 1911 is the best handgun in the world till the day they die, some people will always be Glock fanboys. Thanks 4 watching bro!

  • @NeverEnuffAmmo Thanks for the vid! I was a Glock fanboy until today......was shopping around for a CC gun and just couldn't resist this gun. Mine has the safety on it, but it can be removed if I want. (I bought it from a S&W certified gun smith's shop.) It just feels so good in the hands, and the capacity is great too. Also, mine was $479 new with night sights! (front and rear) A Glock would have been over $600 with night sights. I was worried about the size but it conceals nicely.

  • @DigitalHaze65536 Yeah it's a fantastic pistol, your going to get alot of enjoyment out of it. And that price can't be beat.

  • I own Glocks but getting my wife the Smith and Wesson M&P 9mm Compact, it's what she wants. Great video, well done, but I wanted to see the inside. Waited for that.

  • also luv your vid on SHTF Gun&Prep

  • now far as the round which would stop a person better,i thought the bigger the cal the better, and i just send you a inbox mess maybe u can help me on.

  • so let me ask,what do u think is better s&w m&p 40 or the m&p 9?

  • @Dre6k Well I'm a 9mm or .45 fan personally, not a big fan of .40 at all. That being said, the M&P 40 is a great pistol, but for my money I'd go 9mm or .45

  • @NeverEnuffAmmo I'm that way too. I use a full size 1911 in .45 for home defense, and now 9mm for carry. I see the .40 as a jack of all trades........and a master of none. Of course there is nothing wrong with it, I guess I'm just old fashioned with my calibers. :p

  • BLACK NINJA HAS THIS GUN IT MUST BE FUCKIN' SWEET!

  • I do not like the trigger reset on the M&P compared to the Glock reset. The trigger was also kinda gritty, seems to be getting better with use?......on the pro side the feel or grip is great on the M&P.

  • @fike301

My M&P also had a little grit in the trigger pull initially. It has gotten better in the last 100 rounds. Apex makes a sear and striker kit i tihnk to help smooth everything out. Its hard to find full size mags right now though.

  • That makes more sense than buying all three. Thanks for the response.

  • @cl1973 Hey no problem, thanks 4 watching bro!

  • I own quite a few Glocks right now, but I'm getting my first M&P in a week or so. I haven't fired one yet, but if it shoots as good as it looks and feels, it'll be a keeper. I'd like to get the 9mm, .40 and 357Sig versions as some point.

  • @cl1973 What u can do is the same thing u do with Glocks and get a 40 cal and get .357 sig & 9mm conversion barrels.

  • I traded all my Glocks in for M&Ps, glad I did much better !gun

  • @svkmrch75 Oh yeah I love these pistols, I'm not putting down Glocks, I love those too, but the M&P just feels so much better to shoot. Thanks 4 watchin bro!!

  • @svkmrch75 could you explain in what areas the M&P is superior.....other than personal preference?

  • Nice review. You might want to try the flat base plate for carry. Imo it conceals much better. I use one flat baseplate and 3 ( two extra free magazine promo) finger extended. I will disagree with you about one thing, it's a great range gun, very fun to shoot, at least at steel plates. I'm not into bullseye shooting

  • @southchatham I know what u mean about taking it to the range, I love shooting mine at the range, I was just trying to make the point that this shouldn't be a first choice if u want to buy a pistol for the purpose of taking it to the range, cause there are better pistols for that. But like I said I take mine to the range all the time, its a great shooter, especially considering its a compact pistol. Thanks 4 watchin bro!!

  • Great review Matt! Outstanding firearm. Love the ergos and its gonna give Glock a lot of competition in time. Hey, im offended because i used to have a Sigma 40! lol

  • @tim12161974 Hey I had a 40 cal Sigma too, that's why I can talk shit about it, that thing used have the frame pins back out of it when it was fired, it was a piece of shit.

  • @NeverEnuffAmmo damn! Not good!! Lol! I was luckier with the ole 4igma, not one issue with it but a Sigma is what it is... Low quality.

  • @NeverEnuffAmmo sigmas are trash. concrete trigger

  • Literally just bought this about 6 hours ago.....get it in my hands on monday.....love how it shoots cant wait for this weekend to pass....great video

  • @blizz1919 Congrats bro .... sounds like your gonna have alot of fun this weekend .... you'll have to let me know how it goes!!

  • @blizz1919 I mean your gonna have alot of fun AFTER this weekend ..... lol

  • A friend of mine has the same gun but in .40 and it is a GREAT shooter.I dont have one but I like shooting his tho lol...Cool video bro.

  • @ammohead73 Thanks bro, I love it too, it's a top notch pistol!!

  • very cool review. i was looking at this gun in the full size as my first gun. this review made me get back on track to getting it

  • @jojo3102 Hey bro, I appreciaate u checkin it out. It really is an excellent pistol, I put it somewhere between a Glock and a Sig as far a quality, u can tell S&W put the time and effort into making this a quality pistol.

  • sorry this compact is too small for my big paws

    good review though

  • @satchboogyfan Thanks 4 checkin it out bro ..... I know how it goes, not every gun fits everybody right, thank god we have a ton to choose from, and most of 'em are pretty good pistols ... lol

  • I prefer the Springfield XDM over the Glock personally, they're more comfortable, they're very durable (Over 2500 rounds through my personal XDM .40, recoil seems lighter (probably because they actually have a metal guide rod), and I like the ease of disassembly. If you haven't fired an XD or XDM you should definately try one out, they're amazing and they've got Springfield's lifetime warranty behind them to boot. Springfield has been around for a loooonnnnggg time and isn't going anywhere.

  • @Kiln223 Yeah I need to get my hands on one, heard alot of good things about 'em!!

  • Comment removed

  • Glock has nothing on the M&P IMO...I have uber respect for Glocks, but I love my M&P better...great video!

  • @DocTacDad Thanks bro ...... yeah I love the M&P too, I still love my Glock, but the M&P just fits me better.

  • Dont feel bad man. Even when people upload full movies on YT part 1 always gets the most views.

Short attention spans. Thats why I fit my Car Walkarounds and gun stuff on 1 video =P

Live and learn! Great review man. Do you rotate your Conceal guns? Your Bersa is a conceal gun too right?

Unfortunatly I have no use for a gun like this cause I live in a restrictive state! I have my gun legally riding with me though. i read into what I can do so it's all fullsize guns for me.

  • @FireArmsResQ Yeah 2 parters are no good if u want people to watch. The Bersa I don't carry anymore because my wife carries it now, so it's pretty much just the M&P for me, which is fine, the only reason I carried the bersa sometimes is it's a little smaller & lighter, but with that comes less capacity & a smaller caliber so I don't mind sticking to the M&P.

  • I'm curious, who refers to a striker-fired firearm as DA?

Nice review- sadly, the country I reside in considers this barrel length 'illegal' for regular folk. I've been eying the M&P.40 Pro for quite sometime.

    Cheers!

  • @ALAPINO I've had several people I know personally & seen people on youtube (although not too many) refer to glocks and other similar striker fired pistols as DAO, and I can see the similarities in operation, but maybe they're just saying it to explain the trigger pull or lack of the DA to SA capabilities of many pistols, not really sure either way why they do it. That's too bad your not allowed pistols in this size, although the full sized M&P pistols are equally as fantastic.

  • Great video brochacho! Handsome pistol.

  • @xxFRANKENZTEINxx Thanks bro!!

  • @NeverEnuffAmmo i think the review would have been even better if you shot the 9c

  • Excellent review bro!!! Love the M&P's I agree with you, They're every bit as good as a Glock, but more ergonomic. As a matter of fact, I'm carring my M&P 45 compact right now. I think time will prove that we are living in a remarkable age for gun technology. So many great guns... So little money!

  • @GunznGear Yeah I love the M&P, it's an excellent pistol, every bit the gun the Glock is.

I know what u mean about too many guns, just can't seem to have everything I want .... it's really such a shame I can't have it all .... lol

  • @GunznGear I agree, I have an XDM40,G19,LCP had a PM9 and a XD40 sub comp. I just bought a M&P9c(haven't shot it yet) I've put thousands of rounds through all of them without any issues of any kind. Theres ben no break in periods, no issues with ammo, nothing! And I expect nothing less from the M&P. At this point I don't that I could keep a gun that gave me problems,of any kind. My opinion of these polymer wonder guns is nothing less than spectacular,it's a gun lovers dream. :-)

  • i got the full size 40 cal and i love it. thinking of getting the compact 40 for possible conceal carry. great video

  • @josephd27 Yeah the compacts are great for cc!!

  • Awesome gun, I've been thinking about getting one for about a year now. Now I'm debating between the M&P and the SR9c, Another awesome vid, bro. Keep up the good work.

  • @GunznPoker Thanks bro. If u get ahold of a SR-9 let me know how it goes. I've never really been a fan of Ruger's semi-autos, I like their revolvers though, it's jusr a personal preference thing though. The only negative things I've heard about the SR-9 is the whole Ruger over doing it on the safeties stuff I usually hear about them, like having magazine disconnects & manual safeties, loaded chamber indicators, stuff like that.

  • good review

  • @drewlwsn Thanks bro!!

  • Bout time you did another review hehe, careful though. You might piss of the Glock fanboys the was you put them down :P Nice work

  • @txmalcontent Hey not trying to piss anyone off, I love my Glock too, I got a G17 & used to have a G19, and I love 'em, but this pistol is just a little bit of a step up in my opinion ...... oh well somebody will still probably get their panties in a buch over it ..... lol

  • @SOFSEC1 I have a Glock too, I love my Glock, but I love this little beauty too .... lol

  • @NeverEnuffAmmo LOL!

  • what gun is that on your tattoo?

  • @ITHINKUREALESUK It's a 1911

  • The spring problem you mentioned, did that have to do with when you slammed the magazine in it would release the slide?

  • @biguy525 No that wasn't the issue, that will happen though, but it happens with quite a few different pistols, I've had at least 8 different brand pistols do that if u slammed the mag in hard enuff. The spring issue was one that caused the slide to lock back with 1 or 2 rounds left in the mag because the spring didn't have enuff tension in it so it would let the slide lock engage before it was supposed to.

  • nice review

  • @Brandon401401 Thanks bro!!

  • are you saying sigmas are bad? because gwargwar and stubby say that sigmas are the best you can buy LOL

  • @glock10mm LOLOLOL ...... yeah well I would expect that from them ..... hehehehe!!

  • @NeverEnuffAmmo yea they said that they are going to buy a new one apiece and not shoot them so in 20 years they will be worth more than mikes python LOL

  • have u shot the glock 26 and the Ruger Sr9c? if so how do you compare it?

    thanks for another quality vid!

  • @k1111117 I have not shot the SR-9 but I have shot the Glock 26 and in comparison I perfer the M&P for only one reason, and that's because it's more comfortable to shoot, it's a more ergonomic pistol than the Glock. Now that being said I would gladly stake my life on a Glock 26, there is absolutely nothing wrong with Glock, but I think it's just a personal preference thing. As 4 the SR-9 I've heard good things about them, but never been a big fan of Ruger's semi-autos, I perfer their revolvers.

  • The vid has been added to the playlist/categories on The Tactica;l Forum!

  • @TheTacticalForum Thanks!!

  • Nice M&P....great review!

  • @condor5x5 Thanks bro, I had to re-do this vid, the old one was really bad compared to this one ..... lol
