@rosscroy They haven't sold out man. They took some big risks on there Come Around Sundown album with songs like Mary and No Money. They're a band who loves to try out different kind of sounds which is great. Not many bands have the diversity that they do between all their albums. And what other band has made 5 albums in only 8 years. I hope they continue with what they're doing.

has anyone maybe thought that they are different now then they were 6 years ago because they actually care about the music? It is a FACT that they could barely play their instruments when they first started and tried their hardest to learn(which was very good considering YAYM was awesome) all of the songs have the same progression in the first album (intro, verses and then a solo) and now all of their songs on their new albums are actually thought out carefully and rich in substance and content.

But...people who say they are mainstream and have "evolved badly" are wrong. If you actually listen to this album OR play a real guitar, you can easily see that this album is the way it is partly becuase they were barely starting to play their instruments. They played pretty simple chords and stuff every song, besides Matt's solos which are badass. Just my opinion.
