My wife has instructions to bury this cd with me if I should pass on before her...
This is my all time favorite cd..PERIOD...I always take this with me when I travel. Great road music..I love Loose Ends most notably Carl McIntosh..He's one of my biggest influences as far as how I approach music in the studio..
@antony812,i was thinking to myself as i was clicking on this to listen to it 4 the 1st time that I LOVE EASIER SAID THAN DONE the most. And i was smilin from ear 2 ear when i saw ur comment. That song is so masterful in its production that i get chills & drift off to another place. It is a Lush masterpiece & its great to see folks here with exquisite taste in music.I actually ordered that CD along with Miki Howards 1989 smash yesterday.Peace & Soulmusic!!!!!!!!
This album came out years after the original line up split. For me the magic was gone a bit, but still it contained a copple of great songs. Musical mastemind Mcintosh, lifted the band to higher heights!!
@GeneralTrousers There is one more "album" that Loose Ends produced beyond their greatest hits. The album was never officially released but there's a cut called "Don't Worry" that's on the greatest hits. There's another cut called "Blind Eyes" that was stellar!
CaptainJoshie you are a very mature 18 year old, most teens your age would be into rap music. Nothing wrong with rap music I like it but this stuff here is quality music stuff. Keep having good taste in music and your are correct the 80s & 90s when I was growing up was the best time, especially for music.
Love this group so much. I'm 18 and I got into them through my Mum but wow - late 80s, early 90s was a fantastic era for music and in general. That's the impression I always got when I was growing up. People seemed more united and loving, like a big family! Anyway, just got this CD in the post - bumping it 24/7 at the moment! Good bass, great lyrics, beats and tons of soul!
This was my favorite joint from the Look How Long album, but my alltime favorite is Easier Said Than Done from Real Chuckeeboo. I have the CD and I play it to death! Also the Gangstarr remix of A Little Spice is straight FIRE! They need to make another album ASAP!
I love loose ends. I am 38 and will play this till die. This is my all time favorite group, along with NE, and they were ahead of our time. IKam still waiting for a return. I love you Carl, Steve and Jane.
I remember getting ready to go to IRAQ (for Gulf WarI) and this album was just hittin...the cassette got played to death out in that desert...Carl WHERE ARE U?
No matter how much you think that your forgotten. Trust me..Your not. I will always play Loose Ends songs/music till the day I die. I'm 47yrs old and my 22yr old daughters father and I messed around and had her with loose end music so what that tell you. All so sweet it was! Love you for life. Please come back!
u knw i gotta say, carl macintosh kept the sound down held it down witout jane and steve, but wen they all together nothing can stgop good music from them
WOULD LOVE TO SEE THEM COME BACK SINCE THIS NEO THING HAS BEEN EXCELLINg. To me they invented that outside of the box sound that got away from funk. yeah this cd didn't do what it should and it actually DID happen to fit in with that sound of that time.
Thank you, the sad thing is that it's the norm now in mainstream contemporary R&B. As much as I loved New Jack Swing (LOVED NJS!!!), I think that it opened Pandora's Box. Back then, it was experimental for an occasional rapper to contribute to an upbeat song, now they're going to the well too much, with the addition of wack rappers and no talented "R&B" artists. It pisses you off. Now, R&B artists are singing hooks on rap songs...UNBELIEVABLE!!!
yea thats why i cannot listen to that crap...even though i think quiet storm is trying to come back...hip hop somehow gets added to it...new jack swing had its era...let it go lol.....record companies obviously dont know what music really is
@Fukwotyoohheard WOW!!! I really would like to meet Carl McIntosh. Where is he these days? I was born in England and plan on making it back and would love to meet him.
our british brothers mined some deep funk on this album I luv it. Sometimes it sounds like something Marvin Gaye would've come back with had he went into exile in england instead of heaven, check it out it's that quiet where is that smell coming from funk.
I would love to see the title track "look how long " posted- I know this was the least successful "loose ends " album, but it is still one of the best!!!!
Yes, track for track this is the best album of them all but sadly it was rerleased when many though the group was dead a buried, but how wrong they were. This album is superb.
'Graffiti'= Rule Britainia, Britainia ruled the waves ( yep we did rule @ one time,, ) You can ease the pain by posting a Jaki Graham song please ?? Thxs x
It was rumoured that a can of 7up was accidently poured on CJ McIntosh's brand new sound table equipment by a band member which lead to the bands differences . ( But don't quote me on it ).
Just reading your biopic of LooseEnds. It was a shame that certain creative differences was the inevitable demise of this talented and pionnering group.

Saw Loose ends at the jazz Cafe a few yrs back and they were excellent even though it was only Carl McIntosh and a guest singer.
He joked with the audience that he was working at a call centre! Now that's everything that is wrong with the record industry for you.
