  • 19 yr old.. makes me sick

  • this was so fake... I never heard of this.

  • @x87alpha1 cause you're gay

  • @blastsummit so do you.

  • @x87alpha1 Funny because the UNO bike is in a bunch of online news articles and is pretty legit. Its a fucking prototype, theres plenty of phenomenal inventions youve never heard about.

  • @metaitachi 4 dragons have left this invention less than 1 year later... did you knew that?

  • @x87alpha1 Regardless of what happened, i still think its ridiculous that you claimed that its fake.

  • I am from Hong Kong, I can tell you... this will never work in HK, we have wayyyyy too many people to even walk through a street without stopping and waiting through the crowd.

  • How are you going to stop this quickly?

  • U shall not stand with ur hands in ur pockets while u r speaking to sb, especially if they r older than u.

  • he looks like a village idiot but hes a focken genius

  • This actually makes the Segway look cool by comparison.

  • Pfft... What are all you talking about!

    This thing is amazing!

  • and this is why canadian businesses fail.

  • @TheHaanswin Yes because this show with some young guys random idea represents all Canadian businesses. What about Blackberry? There are plenty of Canadian businesses and then you have to take into account that Canada's population is around 1/10th the US's.

  • @TheHaanswin coming from someone who works at mcdonalds

  • Don't your legs get tired of hanging? (it seems like the driver has to hold her legs at a 90 degree angle) otherwise really inspiring :)

  • Nice. This is one of the highs of entrepreneurship.

  • wow...great product

  • what happened to the uno?

  • @sirpico123 Seems it is still going, Search google for BPG-Motors.

  • Shark Tank vs. Dragons Den (Canada) vs. Dragons Den (UK)

  • @floftyAl - It is funny how people always compare them all the time. I enjoy all 3

  • whuts this crap? UK dragon's den is better

  • @Johnem0 at least these dragons dont have crooked stained teeth. dont you fucks have dentists?

  • NICE!

  • uk one is waaaaaay better, and cheapr:L

  • i prefer the UK dragons, they are much more ruthless!

  • yo homies gio here

  • pure talent nd hard wrk well dne

  • look how fucking uncomfortable it looks im wtch gameplay from COD 8 now

  • that thing is useless...good university engineering project nothing more...uncomfortable as fuck, ugly as fuck, and you cant lean the whole point of motorcycles is about leaning in the forners feeling that sense of instability is what makes motorcycles...

Dragons were stupid because this things gone nowhere

  • @96JUSTIN yeah ur right man! this shit aint cool at all! i give the kids his props he's smart and everything but i would never buy such a thing! forget it!

  • @96JUSTIN It's not stupid if they are buying the patent with it.

  • I can ride my bike faster then 15 mile per hour...is this suppose to be our lazy future way of riding a bicycle?

  • That looked really, really uncomfortable...

  • The Uno and the Str8ts pitch (Sudoku Rival) are my favourite episodes. Amazing

Love this kind of inventor stuff!

  • how in the world does that look cool, it looks stupid why would u have ur head facing forward...ur gonna end up dieing from slower speeds.

  • I wonder if it would work well in Wales (UK) which is very hilly or even San Francisco - which is mega-hilly - I've never seen so many steep hills than in SF and I'm from Wales...

  • the uno 3 is fucking unbelievable i wanna get one so bad it can transform to street bike. Im trying to see where i can purchase one. U can even tell the dragons liked it by the guys face 1:24

  • wow that guy is 19!!

  • THIS IS SO FAKE THAT WAS IN 2008 AND NEVER SEEN A BIKE LIKE THAT ON THE STREET ANYWHERE

  • @mangeunscio It's not fake, unfortunately this deal happened right before the 2008 Crash. The dragons pulled out of the dealing.

BUT Ben made something else and has a contract with the US Army and the bike is still in the pipeline, but in short he has made money and is doing alot of TEDx talks.

  • @mangeunscio I dont think you understand the concept of prototypes vs mass production.

  • @metaitachi that was in 2008 and i never seen that bike anywhere ...... not even on youtube ..... only picture

  • That guy seems like such an asshole

  • American adaptation of Dragons Den... FUDGING RUN AWAY!

  • @AntonioRules99 This isn't American..

  • WOW - To get your business found online just Google 'Revax Media'

  • I would buy one:D

  • This kid is a fool.. Get a loan and become wealthy that way.. if his business is conrete why he need a dragon?

  • @nav19891989 he got 5 people on board with tons of experience.

  • @benc454 they feed from each other. Again, 4 of them left less than one year later and the UNO project have failed. But this guy made another think which had more success.

  • @nav19891989 Look at the exposure he's getting along with the people on board.

  • 15 mph, LOL that's suppose to look cool?

  • What if one dragon wanted the whole slice? Is he forced to allow the other dragon's to invest? The UK version is far more businesslike.

  • Is this a joke?? lol

  • Apparently this thing was a nightmare to patent because its a combination of many smaller patents/machines so they all backed out afterward (except maybe Bret, I think)

  • uk dragons never talk to eachother? their rivals?!

  • @jamiejohnson2196 The UK dragons do talk to each other. From the outset, if they like a pitch and want to invest in a business proposal, they'll assume at first that they're all rivals. But if a dragon makes an offer of half the requested amount, or 1 dragon asks another directly if they want to team up (has happened once or twice) or the pitching businessman requests for 2 particular dragons to team up, then the possibility of teaming up grows.

    Hope this answers your question.

  • @jamiejohnson2196 The UK dragons do talk to each other, it's just that at the outset it's assumed they're rivals. This changes when either a) a dragon offers half the requested amount, b) a dragon directly asks a rival if they want to team up for a particular investment (has happened once or twice), or c) the pitching businessman asks for 2 particular dragons to team up.

    Hope this answers your question.

  • what's the big deal? it's the EXACT same thing as a Segway on you kneel...

  • Japan..china..the nations of the early adopters...they love new and weird stuff and he dragon's know its--dollars and sense..

  • "It better be good" It was

  • I don't know why people are talking bad about it. If u paid attention, it's in the prototype stage. The money is to open a research center.

  • @TreeTrunk82

Because it's half a motorcycle. Why would I want half a motorcycle?

Even the people developing it realized that having half a motorcycle is ridiculous and they added the possiblity of transforming it into a somewhat ordinary bike. So now you have half a motorcycle that you can turn into an ordinary motorcycle. It's a gadget, not a serious vehicle.

  • This guy is so damn smart. I wouldn't doubt this guy will be back with more inventions. The uno is brilliant!

  • This guy is a techno-genius. I think it is a very cool invention in technology aspects. But, he does not know anything about the market. No one will buy this just because it is cool technology under the hood. A normal bike outperforms this in any way.

  • failure of a product.......I wudnt buy it because:

    1) Doesnt seem comfortable

    2) Doesnt seem safe

    3) Cant have my girl at the bak

    4) Motorbikes sell because of their speed.....speed means COOL! This thing goes at wat 10miles/hr.....i can fukin walk at 4 miles/hr....

    Are these dragons stupid?

  • @kanthasingh54 i know it looks really awkward to ride

  • @kanthasingh54

its more of a bike/everyday vehicle you can use easily, a motorcycle you usually ride when your showing off and stuff, not a quick 5 sec to the store and back, thats what this is more about.

  • @helldrag0n47

Why can't i use my bike for a quick ride to the store and show-off as well!! Srry...but most guys arent rich enough to be able to afford different vehicles for different things.....one for store, one for work, one for club...lolz! this thing is $5000 and his market is thailand (poor).......wat sort of a stupid person is gonna spend $5000 on somthin that goes 15 miles/hr and is uniseater? wud u buy it? Then buy its much better designed competition.....segway....a failure!

  • @kanthasingh54 retarded people like you are so...fucking retarded

  • @kanthasingh54

    $5000? Oh.. then screw it.

  • nice invention but i i can't imagine people buying one....

  • Ben Gulak(in my mind)-GNARLY DUDE NHWAAAHAHAHAH

  • it can't carry anything. only goes 15km/hr. It might look cool, but e-bikes are sweeping the nation. I think the Dragons made a mistake on this one. But good on Ben.

  • @teeray12 15 MILES/hr so about 25 km/hr. I don't think that its too slow considering its a bike.

  • "Do you have any adversity for being wealthy cos some people do they're called communists!"

  • UK dragons are way far tougher than these !!

  • @carlangas74 Yeah and they don't need bad American editors slapping music all over the fucking show to sell it. Having no music or fancy cartoon effects doesn't make a programme bad. It's more immersive.

  • @carlangas74 Oh come on they would of given this kid the money.

  • @carlangas74 These guys have a lot more money.

  • @carlangas74 If your judging it on this clip, then maybe. But these gays rape peoples companies off them, the UK dragons nearly always let the people who come in keep their companies...

  • @carlangas74 Of course. Canada's "mean" is a lot of other countrys' "nice".

  • @carlangas74 Well, this one's Canadian not UK. If you wanted tougher dragons go to the UK version.

  • @XOSiren18XO He didn't say that he didn't want to see the Canadian dragons he was just pointing out a fact :D

  • @carlangas74 well maybe cuz this is so damn awesome

  • @carlangas74

is that why UK economy is in the crapper and in love with their neighbors?

  • And this beats a scooter/motorcycle how?

  • At least they didn't steal the invention from him like the american ones do with some people. They bought a reasonable stake!! Heck this kid even brought it down!! That's amazing man this guy's my role model.

  • hmm where is this Dragons show from? Im only really familiar with the UK Dragons Den... I must admit that I like and prefer the UK dragons way more, dunno something about these guys attitude that just puts me off.... 'dont let the greed cloud come over your head' wtf?? furthermore I dont see myself riding one of these lol, looks unsafe and uncomfy. On top of that, im no big business genius or anything but I defo do Not see this thing flooding the streets of india or china hah

  • they didn't include the explanation of why it only goes 16km/h:

he was working on programming it to go faster, because the computer needs to keep the bike stable at higher speeds. the newest one goes like 50km/h i think

  • Thats look so cool.....REALLY?

  • Sweet one wheel, but it does not look comfortable

  • Search BPG Motors: UNO Development Video for an update.

  • I remember seeing this pitch...what happened? There's never been a follow up to this one, which doesn't seem good to me. Why would they not follow up?

  • @PlayIt4MeAgainSam Ben gave a follow-up interview in a blog saying that all of the dragons but Brett bailed on him... makes you wonder how solid the "deals" on this show really are. It's cool though, Brett's now listed as a director of Ben's company, BPG motors. Happy that at least one of the dragons stuck to their word :)

  • @PlayIt4MeAgainSam because its a dud, and if those dragons actually knew anything about technology and the market they wouldve realized it from the start.

A seemingly great product, is just that, seemingly great. And many people throughout the business world cant properly distinguish between a product that is great and a product that is viable...

  • Top 10 or not, that is one ugly ass bike, I wont even want one if u give me for free.

  • Not a great position to ride any vehicle.

  • I went to Google IO this year and I remember seeing this! or something very very similar

  • 3 years later where is it now?

  • @chefawkes

Still in development. It's planned to be available in 2012. I think it'll fail just as hard as the Segway though. For the exact same reason, it looks fucking silly.

  • @can0mark It looks way different now though, look it up and let me know what you think, does a motorcycle really look that bad?

  • @can0mark Not to mention the driver's position is unsuitable for crowded environments.

  • @Bleumange

Great point, hadnt even thought about it .

  • @can0mark Damn right you haven't :D

  • @Bleumange

    :O

    :(

  • So is this show about five greedy rich people who wanna use the public's ideas to make themselves richer?

  • @TakatoJoshuaKai all become rich

  • Nice job Ben

  • How does it cope under hard braking or cornering? Idunno, as clever as the internal gyroscopes and electronic systems are, I'd still like at least 2 wheels on the ground, one in front of the other :)

  • @PynkWalkr absulutely for 5500 $ why not buy a bike with 2 wheels or a scooter electric for 2000$ what waste of time.

  • Only 15mph? Is that because if you slam the brakes on you will fly off? What's the range?

  • my only question is the safety, what happens when you go over a speed bump or a sidewalk staff?

  • All those dragons got a bad attitude problem. Big egos. Dont think youre better than people just cause you got more money.

  • @1000sidney lol, if you were to invest tons of money you would like to know as much as possible about the product.. its not the same as having a atitude problem....

  • Has anyone actually got one of these or was all that money wasted?

  • I can't watch thus shark tank is be,tree

  • It's a piece of shit.

  • omg the original idea for Dragons Den comes from Japan not the UK.

  • So what's happened to it ??

  • the vultures are just looking to milk him.

  • the red-headed witch on this show is a fraud who scams young entrepreneurs

  • i think the dragon lost. i havent seen one of these until now

  • these will be really good for Japanese roads, but I think Honda is already making the same thing here.

  • this kid is cool as hell

  • Oh wow, Robert Harjavec and Kevin O'Leary are here.

  • @DarkReapersGrim That's because this show came long before Shark Tank.

    Dragon's Den >>>> Shark Tank.

  • @art23ist Yea, I figured that out quick. Same with The Office. Ideas of shows are imported to the US, in these two cases from the UK.

  • how do you brake so don't crash a truck.... oh wait u can't you'll just fly head first into it.....

  • haha very smooth

  • tht kid is a fucking dragonslayer lol

  • Something is telling me that this kid was a fan of South Park when he was younger

  • This is way easier than the Brit version.... almost no questions about numbers, figures, etc....

  • Loooool they probly all got 20% and screwed him over

  • You know what would be insanely cool... an uno that looks like the Detroit Red Wings logo.

  • shark tank the doors open automatic, in this show a guy off camera pushes the door open :P love it

  • To do this at 19, you gotta give this kid credit. I'm 28 and haven't accomplished shit with my life, besides getting a degree. We need more people like him.

  • People will look stupid riding that. It offers no features above that of a normal electric bike but with more negatives. For example, what happens when the batteries run out and you're 10km from home?, and how do you park it?. $50 bucks says that will never see the light of day. Those so called experts have done their dough big time.

  • @aristideau What happens with any electric vehicle when your battery runs out? And, you park it like any other bike.

  • if he's done this by 19 imagine what he would be like in 10 years time? fair play to him, he's the next Richard Brandon if he stays at it xxxx

  • i thought this was american version thats why the stairs were comming down americans dont like to put the effort of walking up

  • wtf was that comment in the middle there about communists?! lol. love americans, so over the top

  • @icedbannanas They are Canadian

  • For all the dummys out there this ia a VERY succesfull product and is voted most green bike

  • nice i live in milton on to

  • LEARN THE INSIDER SECRETS OF THE SUPER WEALTHY !!

    30billionaireschangingtheworld dot kom

  • My question is how is this more effective then riding a bike on populated areas such as India and China?

  • how is this any different than the segway..

  • final price point of $5000 - 5500.. kind of expensive for Bangkok, India, etc. the populace there doesn't have the purchasing power to buy this...

  • ARGHHH!!!! ITS AMERICAN!!!!

  • @drumsrock4life the steal everything, it came from Japan this time

  • @drumsrock4life Actually, it's Canadian. The American version is called The Shark Tank.

  • ''Don't let the greed cloud come over your head''....Bit rich coming from him?

  • @larylilshit1 I agree, I detest almost every single thing that comes out of that douchebag's mouth

  • @larylilshit1

that's how kevin works, he tries to trick people into buying things at a price he prefers and does so by using manipulating them into thinking they are overvaluing.

  • i don't think he can get much sales for this for $5500 each it won't be able to compete with motorbikes which is faster, more comfortable and more convenient and i think even easier to "park"

  • It is made but different name and everything

  • anyone know if this bike has made it? is it popular?

  • I want one. GIVE!!

  • Now thats how its done!

  • what america have copied dragons den cool...

i will watch all these hopefully they are as good as the English version.

  • I can see the Uno going big in place like China and India. In 50 years it could be mass marketed and replace bicycles.

  • I don't deny that it's amazing he made something like that for his age, but leaving his age out of the equation, this doesn't look practical.... I can't imagine myself using that regularly at all, maybe a ride or 2 in an amusement park to try it out...

I mean if any of the auto companies made that, we're going to rip it apart. The technology and engineering's amazing, but the product concept confuses me, why is this better than a normal motercycle/motor bike?

  • @FlameltaSK0 The market isn't you and I, it's commuters in overly corwded urban areas like those in China and India. In these places, people use bikes , tuk tuks, rickshaws, and other short distance low speed transportation heavily. I bet you wouldn't see a tuk tuk as viable for you, but they work for what they're made for.

  • I'm sure this won't be his last invention. Good for you, Ben, wish you much success.

  • Get your hands out of your pockets!!

  • It has 2 wheels, they are side by side. What is wrong with the conventional bicycle/motorbike set up? Why would I want this ?

  • @HelmetBlissta Your missing the concept. The wheels are retractable (great for parking and storing), take up my less space, less friction, more efficient and require less natural resources to manufacture. I don't think you personally would want this as you seem satisfied with your bicycle, but someone like me would be one of the first to buy it.

  • Kinda looks and sounds like Tom Green

  • what ever happened to it,did it fail or something

  • i dont understand what the entrepreneurs mean when they say like... "70 000$ for 30% of my company" what the hell is that %?

  • @FlyingSujin67

what they mean is, they are willing to give 30 percent of ownership over for that price. So say you have a product an you say ill give you 10% for 10,000 that means you think the products value is 100,000 If I go for it then I own 10% now if you make lets say 300,000 profit from that product then I would get 30,000 of that and I would have made a pretty decent little investment. That % is how much they are willing to part with or share with the potential investors

  • he reminds him of the guy on ratatui . LOL . in a really nice way [:

  • THIS DUDE IS MY ROLE MODEL
