  • It was a pity that she broke down, but that can happen to any horse, on any day, and at any track. The public never cared before if a horse broke down & had to be euthanized, but once it happens during a famous race on tv everyone makes a huge to do about it. Yes it's a living creature and we should, but they act like that was the first time for it ever to happen. She was not murdered, she was humanely euthanized. All the nay-sayers are just attention grabbers.

  • Eight Belles was a nice horse, but it wasn't until then people started caring. Breakdowns happen on any day, at any track, and to any horse. It's not until it happens during a famous race that's broadcasted on tv that the ignorant public really care. After that the whole non-horse community is crying foul over it when they really don't know a thing about it.

  • I was very excited when Larry Jones opted to put Eight Belles in the Derby instead of pitting her against her stablemate. It broke my heart to watch her go down.

I follow all of Jone's fillies... currently Joyful Victory is making a splash... he's a great trainer and is not responsible for what happened to EB. No one is. It's just one of those things that happens. Sad, but it happens.

  • Way to go to judge maiden. I guess even people such as Matz are disgusting? Or other owners who spend most of their money on their horse when it gets injured? Believe me it costs more to keep them alive. With small owners you may get lucky if you win big, but you will loose more than you make. Also, if you have ever trained a TB racehorse you will know when they don't want to do a task. They simply will not do it. There are people in it for money but half aren't. Don't judge those ones or at all

  • Derby is disgusting. But, I guess you can't expect much when the people involved aren't as smart as the animals they race. Heartless souls in this industry are driven by money and mint julep drunkenness. IF that sounds fun to you, mount each other and have a redneck race. Let the horses bet on you.

  • HOJE 3 ANOS SEM EIGHT BELLES EU A AMO, REST IN PEACE, : ( anderson do BRASIL

  • @Kulaness

what are you talkin about, she DID lug in in the Fantasy. I think you should read my comments more carefully

  • @109367 KULA DID IDIOT, SAID IT THE FIRST TIME AND YOU SAID SOME OTHER STUPID SHIT. YEAH AND PETA BLOWS

  • Half these people didn't even know about EB until she broke down and had to be euthanized. Then they go on saying stupid comments about how bad HR is etc... When they don't even know the half of it/about the sport/Trainers/owners etc...

  • @spam1237

Horse racing does have a darkside. But it also has a goodside. I think horse racing can be cruel. I think some of those horses live better than some of humans do.

  • @spam1237

I was following her for a little while, she DID have a problem with lugging in toward the rail in the stretch, I think it was the Fantasy where you can see that really well, you see her jockey physically pull her head to the right to keep her off the horse running at the rail. Of course this was all explained by the jockey after the race and Petatards jump all over it. Why didn't we hear anything about; (continued . . .)

  • (continued . . . ) Indyanne, Wanderin Boy, Lecturing Lynn, Go Between, Blue Exit, Born to Be, Flibberjibit, Affirmed Truth, Tin Cup Chalice, Sailors Cap, Zany, Sunriver, Happy Ticket, Blackbriar and many others who have broken down? Oh yeah because they weren't on tv, so does that mean they aren't important? It's so sad, Indyanne was a great horse and no one batted an eye when she broke down in the La Brea Stakes in December, no one seemed to care.

  • @109367 THEY WERE ON BLOODHORSE. MOST EVERY HORSE THAT BREAKS DOWN OR DIES IS MENTIONED ON THE BLOODHORSE. ALSO ESPN.

  • @whatthefuckubrat

Um yes I know, I meant that peta didn't give a flyin fuck about those horses, just Eightbelles cuz she was on tv.

  • @109367 They never gave a care about Eight Belles, they only cared about the publicity.

  • Yea i agree, horses can have thier accidents but it dosn't just happen on the track. Its not cruel to the horses.

  • I'll have to agree that Eight Belles was a decent racehorse, but if it wasn't for the KY Derby I don't think very many people would have made a big hoopla about it. Not to be rude.

  • @21Sarabi If it wasn't for the horse racing, we wouldn't have a reason to make "a big hoopla" about a sport which leads to the death of horses. Horses can not provide consent. If a person wants to run until their legs break, that is their choice. The horse has no choice, and that's why the Derby supports exploitation of innocent animals for the sake of greed. It's disgusting. And finally getting a decent, approved track after 150 years and several deaths!? Just another way the South is slow.

  • Ok for the people fighting about whether she was overrated or not:

Either way, she was still a good racehorse and a beautiful animal that was euthanized due to a terrible accident. Can't we all just agree that it's very sad and leave it at that?

  • too bad that filthy jockey and owner didnt get euthanized

  • You can't heal that sort of injury. The injuries were too critical.

  • why kill it? cant they treat it, even if it cant race again..

  • Eight Belles=Overrated

  • You're a dick, spam1237. Eight Belles was a great racer. You're a worthless piece of sh**.

  • Seriously she was. Horses such as Pine Island, Fun Fair, Go For Wand, Prairie Bayou broke down and NEVER got he same hype as Eight Belles. A couple of those horses had accomplished much more than EB ever did. And really do we need the language. GROW UP.

  • my god how sad...i guess given such a tragic situation that was the most humane thing to do.

    god the poor thing....

  • Fuck off you stinking cunt.

  • Do you ride? If you do then you would know EVERY time we get on our horse's we risk their lives! So just shut up because we risk our lives AND our horse's lives.

  • Dont be a moron! Eight Belles owner Larry Jones cared very much for that horse!!! Even listen to him at the end of the race! He cant even talk about her because he starts crying!!! GOD

  • You are a fucking idiot. I would LOVE to beat the shit out of you.

  • coloquem suas vacas das mães para correrem....e apostem o rabo delas!

    bando de fdp

  • Geez micki, thanks for pointing that out! I didn't realize that! I just thought it was an extremely large cat with a really long face! They say kids are intelligent these days, and you're living proof of that!

  • maybe because she wasn't a cat

  • Dirt is a terrible surface and should be banned.

  • it is horrible when it is sloppy

but the ground this day was fine

  • R.I.P Eight belles

    a amazing filly

  • wats a filly

  • wow u are a smart one....not

  • whats a dufus??

  • yea poor girl, she never even had a chance to say "what happened" they didn't even calm her down they just jabed the needle in and killed her she was so scared! you could see it in her eyes!

  • What, did you want them to let her lay there in tremendous pain? She probably wouldnt have calmed down because the pain was so great

  • euthanized means the horse was put down

  • What is euthanized?

I am not american or english, i am portuguese

  • Euthanized means that Eight Belles has put to sleep ='[

    R.I.P Eight Belles xxxx

  • what a dick you are.

  • There are horrible things happening to animals all over the world. Hopefully we can all agree on that.

Horses however have a special place in this country. They have gone to war with us and have taken us all the way to the Pacific ocean. Every citizen in this country should know that. Million dollar farms huh? Tell that to Ferdinand, a Kentucky Derby winner sent to a slaughterhouse in Japan in 2002 I believe.

  • Filly

  • You sure? Filly looks silly.

  • yes it right I asked

  • GUYS! remember Barbaro's up there he'll take Great care of her! shes in good hands with barbaro i bet you guys they will be racing none stop when we all get up to heaven!

  • Yep her and barbaro are know free

  • May their legacys live in heart forever

  • i cried. first barbaro and now eight belles. horse racing is cruel! horses aren't meant to be whipped and forced to race for peoples enjoyment they should be running free or at least not horse racing. btw if your going to criticize me because of how I feel about this subject than screw you all!

    R.I.P Eight Belles

  • I live in Louisville and have been around this industry. These horses are treated better than humans. Do you think they want there "million" dollar horses to suffer injuries or death. No, but accidents happen. These horses love to run. Should other stafety measures come into play now? Sure! We as Louisvillians never want another Derby like this one. It was a horrible accident. The jockey did nothing wrong and it was proven he didnt.

  • iT NOT FAIR I DOTN CARE IF SHE WAS PEFECT BEFORE THE RACE THEY SHOULDNT EVEN RACE THESE HORES AND SHE COULD GO IN THE AMBLUANCE JUST HAVE MORE PEOPLE HELP NOT THAT HARD IT NOT FUCKIN FAIR OMG OM GOMG BOY COUGHT THIS AND CUTE CUTE AWESOME HORSE RIP ON DAY THIS WILL STOP

  • You obviously dont know anything about horses.

  • They couldnt have held her up if they wanted to. Do you even know how much a horse weighs? They are not like a dog you just cant carry it into the abmulance. The horse weighed around 1200-1300 pounds. An she would have been in to much pain. They did the best thing for her.

  • it's obvious you know nothing about horses. know a little bit about the subject you are talking about before you just start rambling. even when a horse is at it's healthiest, if it refuses to move there is nothing that is going to make it do anything.

  • it's philly, dumbass.

  • LOL its FILLY unless you are refering to the city in PA

  • Filly..* Google it ;P

  • @maddiehyh: Philly is wrong. Try Fili.

  • no she fracter her two ankcs and that is what happend

  • do you know how to spell?

  • i heard that the jockey knew she was lame...but still raced her

  • animal cruelty.

  • So tell me, why do you go on every video of Eight Belles and make horrible comments? That is really disrespectful to her. But I guess you are just an ignorant jackass that cant help it.

  • obviously another persone making ignorant comments. try not to make it so obvious that you know nothing about horses next time.

  • It was sad that Eight Belles was euthanized, and what he said with all that detail sounded painful. And I'm glad they put her out of her misery immediately. Especially with such a painful injury like that one. :(

  • whoa, i was responding to some comments a while back with the jesus thing. Is there anyone who can argue that engineering these animals for gambling isn't cruel? really? saying these horses are atheletes is like saying slaves are livestock. you have to look past your love of horses and examine why this animal existed in the first place. Peta is right on message but off on presentation.

  • I don't think the slaves are livestock thing is a fare comparison.

These horses aren't exactly abused... they are treated pretty well. I mean, they make people money, you just wouldn't abuse them because the people making the money would get mad.

  • Hahaha I loved both your comments. You get it :) good job. Lol I hate when people are like "horses love to run its not cruel" Sure maybe horses love to run, but why do they run? Not so you can get on their backs and smack their bottoms to make them giddy up.

  • FUCK PETA...!!!

  • Animal rights is all well and good but the issue here is the track surface and Belle's death, not the welfare of other animals so why you're twittering on about dogs is beyond me. Yes it's horrific the way people treat animals, boo hoo, get off your soapbox, I work for the RSPCA, I KNOW what goes on but your comments have no relevance to this video. Poor girlie, she was such a beautiful horsey. If it's any consolation she had a shatter fracture so couldn't have been saved anyway.

  • Everybody needs to go to PETA website and see the poor dogs being skinned alive in China for fur. It is truly heartbreaking. You all are so worried about the humane euthanization of Eight Belees who will be remembered forever just like Barbaros. These poor dogs and wolves are skinned alive and thrown into a dump trailer still moving, trying to get up, you can see them breathing. Go help these animals who were beaten over the head, not even somewhat humanely killed.

  • Have you bought a puppy form a pet store recently? Most of these puppies come from puppy mills where the mothers are kept in chicken coops, are bred to have 5 to 6 litters a year, & when unable to produce anymore, are shot or worse, starved to death. All this for the price of your cute adorable puppy. I have several retired Arabian show horses who are living out their lives in pasture. 1.6 race horse die on the track out of every 1000 that race. How many mother dogs or uncared puppies die a day?

  • These horses have jobs, their breed for this, whether it be a draft horse who has to pull several thousand pound equipment to plow feilds, or a jumper who has to jump a 7' vertical fence, or a cutting horse who has to maintain a cow in a pattern. These horses have their best interests at heart when the decision comes to breeding these animals. Yes some do get other traits bred out but overall the horse is bred to the utmost ability for its job. If more were dying, they would change the breding.

  • all though its very sad that she had to be put to sleep if you really think about it trying to save that horse would have been close to impossible and the horse would have been in a lot of pain so really putting her to sleep was the best thing to do.

  • horses do live a good life but it comes with a price their death in the end, once they stop winning we'll you know what happens or what could happen to them, all for an endless suplly of carrots and a beautiful stable

  • PETA can go to hell; they only want to help the animals that are involved in the spotlight. Why don't they go to Montana's Stockyard auction & see the 2,000 horses sell every weekend; loaded up on double decker cow trailers; mares, foals & stallions all in the same compartment left to fight and defend themselves while on a non-stop route 100s of miles away. They are kicked, bitten and stomped to death while PETA tries to make Paris Hilton take care of her dogs.

  • The owners of Eight Bells have suffered a loss (yes, financial) but also a place in their hearts. And for those of you who are criticizing the jockey, what did you want him to do? Pull the filly to her feet (if he could lift a 1,100 pound horse) just so she could try and stand on two good legs only to fall to the ground again. When you have been put in a situation like that then you can talk.

  • Those of you who think racing these horses is cruel are uneducated in the horse industry. Most of these show/race horses live better than 1/2 of the kids in America. They are handled every day, turned out to play, and eat about 12 different feeds w/supplements. They reside at million dollar farms, and the vet care is done at state of the art facilities. Most people can't even afford health care & these horses' monthly maintenance is upwards of $10,000 per month.

  • Very,very well put 7708.

  • The facilities that house these horses are far better than the roach infested apartments that house your families or neighbors. The hospitals that treat these horses are just as state-of-the-art as the most prominent hospital in America.

  • After Bo Derek lobbyed so much against horse slaughter in ILlinois, doesn't anyone think she's a hypocrite for being a fan present at the Kentucky Derby?

  • I hope horses go to heaven too, but then I'd have to wish dogs and cats do as well. But I think that they might have overran Eight Belles. See, those running the track are under cardiovascular stress, as well as pain in the feet and ankle area. Horses are more likely to collapse because of their heart, and they wouldn't be euthanized, though. I felt awful that she died. Wherever she is, she's in a better place than down here, I expect. Except if she were in Hell. Because that would be awful.

  • Those who support this sport should reconsider how cruel, heartless & barbaric it is. 8 Belles died in agony, offering her life so many could watch, wager & profit. All for money & ego. Is this the type of America we are? Then Jefferson's vision of America being the Last Best Hope for Mankind is lost. He too, did not escape the fate of the other 55 who signed our Declaration of Independence. Many died poor, 5 were captured & tortured to death, losing everything, except our independence.

  • I heard that she wasn't run enough on dirt tracks like the derby's. I'm really pissed off. When you look at her ankles, they are like half the size of the colts' ankles.

They should not have run her so hard in the previous month.

  • Yea, you mourn the death of this horse just because it was famous. If it had been just a average race-horse you wouldn't care at all.

  • I care for all the horses that are abused and "broken" way too early in life. This was tragic and yes..because she was second place..she is getting more "spotlight" for this..but we all need to realize that there is more than this tragedy that goes on during these horse races. As for alot of people (not all), believe that these are "throw-away horses if they can't make the time. We need more awareness about what happens to them if they don't win! Even if they do..be aware!

  • Most ex-race horses go into other career like show jumping and they're good at it. So they aren't really throw aways as you call them but some are sent to retirement homes or if the owners really love them brings them back home to train other horses or used as studs or become the outpony for the track.

  • I really hope animals go to heaven. Dreadful place it would be if it were only people.

  • Yes, I understand that some of the Lucky ones go on to another career...but what about the ones such as Exceller and Ferdinand? Those racing Greats ended up at a slaughterhouse!

Check your local rescues and see what is the most neglected/abused type of horse there is..

  • was a very good race though, i have to say, big brown just dominated... RIP 8 bells, was a good horse

  • You are sick.

How can you joke about such a serious thing? Obviously you are just another immature disgusting jerk who is "cool" enough to get their kicks from watching horses get hurt.

Do the world a favor and first get a life

    then a heart.

  • Whats up everyone?

  • wrong. she wasn't just a horse. true, there are a lot more. but eight belle's story was different from all others. First of all, she was a FILLY! do you know how many fillies place that highly? very few. And she had gotten second in the biggest race in the country. So she wasn't just a horse, she was one of the most greatest fillies to race in several years, but i guess it takes a true horseman (or horsewoman; in my case) to realize that.

  • Don't waste your time trying to reason with the people that post comments on YouTube. Most of them are just kids who like to make fun of everything or be mean to strangers since they can get away with it.

  • they should stop racing all together to many of the most loved horses are being killed and they didnt even have a say in if they wanted to race.. its so sad i know they dont race horses to get them killed but it just happens way to offend

  • All the horses that are euthanized are turned into mcdonald quarter pounders. Hint the yum in the background.

  • The sad thing is not that people race horses for sport -its the 'inbreeding' of these horses for a certain trait that they may carry. These horses are just like purebred dogs, the gene pool is getting to limited. They are not breeding for soundness of animal and all around health. They are breeding for name and speed - not durability. In past years people raised horses for pleasure, racing can be a pleasure even for the animals. These horses LOVE to run, wether racing or not.

  • why the hell did they kill the horse in front of 200,000 people plus the national TV audience, why couldn't they just cart the horse away and kill it in a stable?????????

  • They care about the horse more than whinny ass people, thats why.

The horse would be in pain, even for five minutes more if they carted it off.

  • Sure, let her suffer for countless minutes, just to save humans from the sight of tragic consequences of a cruel industry. She couldn't get up, both front ankles were broken, so they would have had to either drag her onto the truck or lift her with a frontloader. Would that have been more pleasant to watch? She gave her all and put in an incredible performance. She at least deserved to have her pain ended as quickly as possible.

  • I heard an interview on the radio that it's believed that the horse may have had a stroke or seizure and collapsed at the end of the race, and the sudden drop to the ground is what actually broke its ankles.

  • it was a freak accident! the jockey had nothing whatsoever to do with it. he felt something wrong and pulled her up by then it was too late. read any article about it, larry jones eight belless trainer has watched the tape several times and not only did he do nothing wrong he did everything right. so get real he couldnt do anything about it. and if she was sore in any way theres no way she would of ran so good its just common sense.

  • hey algbgone.. what does american soilders have to do with horse racing. your the nit wit.. young or not it happened. did you watch it? i did not think so.. over 700 horse die from rcing each year. it is a tough sport. if you dont like it go to Iraq.. break a leg for me.

  • WHO AM I....

I CANT NAME THE LAST AMERICAN SOLDIER KILLED BUT I can NAME THE FEMALE HORSE THAT DIED SO TRAGIC FOR MY SILLY ENTERtAINMENT.....

    I AM...........YOU

  • algbgone:

horses' names are easier to remember than peoples'....silly

  • american SOLDIERS are killed everyday we wont be able to keep up and to see such a outstand peformance from such a young filly its really sad to see her die so quickly and the height of her career

  • What a idiotic comment...jeez poor America...

Height of her career? The problem was she was too young for the race EINSTEIN....get a clue nit wit....American Soldiers are killed everyday and you wont care because its not personal...I wish one of your brothers or loved goes to Iraq...God please grant me this wish

  • 55 HORSE DEATHS IN TWO YEARS AT DEL MAR RACE TRACK 2004-2006 So how many other equine deaths are there every year that go unnoticed in a sport that's largely ignored on a day-to-day basis? Let's just take one track, like Del Mar near San Diego: 55 deaths from 2004-06, says the San Diego Union-Tribune

  • You have to put those deaths into perspective. There are only 1.6 fatalities for every 1000 horses that start a race.

  • In an effort to answer a the main question of "could this horse have been saved", the answer is no. My father is a certified horse trainer and I've seen quite a few breaks. Barbaro survived because he only broke one leg, if he had broken two, he would have been euthanized on the track as well. The practice of euthanization at the site of the injury is quite common and is, in fact, the more humane option.

  • Horses cannot stay in a prone position, because their intestines will become infected. Basically, the horse gets a "stomach flu", but without the ability to vomit they become horribly sick and usually die. It's sad, but the decision made was the right one.

  • If the practice of euthanizing horses on the track is "quite common", then there is a lot more wrong with this "sport" than I thought.

So, this is a "common" event in the life of a thoroughbred?? Well, in that case, the intentional cruelty of running horses so hard that their legs break is the real problem, here...

  • They couldn't mover her...she was in so much pain, and couldn't even stand back up. it was such a freak accident though, that they needed to put her down right away. I somewhat agree with you though with respects to cruelty to horses that race. There are some owners that use them then dispose of them which is jacked, but there are many owners/trainers that genuinely care about the well being of the horses...

  • 17 hands tall at three years of age....this horse was an accident waiting to happen. The industry needs to take a hard look at what they are breeding for and come to a concensis for the good of the horses. The best move would be to either stop racing or start them at later ages when their bones have finished developing, but the almight dollar won't allow either of those options.

  • Why is it the most humane? Why cant it be done in a stall or vet hospital? I am not a horse race person so I am just trying to understand all of this still.... Thanks.

  • It was because they weren't able to move her...she was in a terrible amount of pain, so they had to do it..it really is unfortunate, and a freak accident, but when an animal that size, can't get up, they had to put her down.

  • I don't know nothing about horses and horse races, and I've read a few comments below, but do any of you horse-knowledgeable people out there think that it was quite drastic to put Belles to sleep? With all the advanced technology, I think they could've saved the horses life (but i'm pretty sure not the horses career).

  • Horse racing isn't cruel, accidents happen in any sport.

As to who I blame....no one, except maybe Mr. Prospector. Mr. Prospector is the leading cause of unsoundness in racehorses today. Eight Belles was inbred to him twice in her pedigree.

  • I take it you have xray vision and could see the stress fractures? A human runner can with out stress fractures can have an ankle fx with dislocation just from sprinting and then slowing down. Because it happend bilateraly she probably have week ankles from day one. But on this day she ran hard. When a horse slows done the forward pressure increases and stresses the ligaments in the ankle joint (the same thing happens in a human). seee below.

  • The ligaments supporting the ankles gave out allowing the dislocation to happen. When the ankle dislocates it broke the bone in the process because an ankle dislocation is very powerfull. In my opinion one ankle gave out first and as she started to tumble she tried to brace herself with the other and it gave out as well.

As for stress fractures due to over training. I am a Certified Athletic Trainer and have never see stress fractures in the ankle joint itself. see below

  • Most often stress fx's will be seen in the long bones of the leg (tibia). So even if she had stress fractures in her legs she would not have had that type of injurey. She would have actually have a mid leg fx if the stress fx's where to blame.

I do know what I am taling about with injures I hold a Masters of Science in Athletic Training have been certified in Athletic Training for 7 years and been around injures in athletics for 12 years.

  • hey dumb ass these are fucking horses were talking about they are bigger and heavier compare to humans dont judge these vets they were there and im 100% sure they know what the fuck they are talking about

  • I'm not judging the vets. The problem with doctors is that they are called in after the fact. You don't go until something happens. Unless this horse could talk I find it hard to believe that he would tell them his ankle hurts. It's like little league baseball pitchers. Due to Dr. Andrews research they now have a pitch count because coaches and trainers are too overzealous.

  • Yo dumbass, weight has nothing to do with it unless the bone is pathologic. Whether you're an elephant or a horse or a human, the bone structure should allow you to perform it's all according to "Wolf's Law". However fatigue is a factor in breaking bones. It should be looked into. I hope they can analyze his bone structure before they send him to the glue factory. Perhaps they can prevent another Barbaro or eight belles from happening again.

  • The reason is because Thoroughbreds are being bred more and more light weight, so their legs actually can't hold the weight well when their going 35 miles per hour.

  • Here's an article in the Boston Globe about the trainer.'If it's Derby week, Larry Jones is ready to tell you a tale. Last year, the folksy trainer came to Churchill Downs with Hard Spun, put his horse through a record-setting workout on Monday, then sat back and took the shots as every handicapper from Churchill Downs to Suffolk Downs who said he used up his horse too early."

  • Actually I trained at the Mass General and been working in orthopaedic trauma for 14 years and I can remember numerous occasions of over training in basketball and marathon running. One runner in particular fractured her femur after finishing the Boston Marathon and snapped after her run. Another was a third metartarsal fracture that angulated after being told not to run for a suspected stress fracture.

  • Au contraire you can have stress fractures along the medial malleolus as well as sesamoids, tibia, fibula, femur and medial and lateral condyles, metatarsals, and talus. Just about any weightbearing bone is susceptible to a stress fracture. If you don't rest it, then they they become displaced . Then the lawyers come knocking on your door.

  • Are you a Certified Horse Trainer?

  • Here's an article in the Boston Globe about the trainer.'If it's Derby week, Larry Jones is ready to tell you a tale. Last year, the folksy trainer came to Churchill Downs with Hard Spun, put his horse through a record-setting workout on Monday, then sat back and took the shots as every handicapper from Churchill Downs to Suffolk Downs who said he used up his horse too early."

  • So remember, if you come in anything but first place, you'll be put to death!

  • Wow!! 375.000 for this horse? Thats some damn expensive glue for sale

  • someday inhumane crap liek this will go away. poor horse :(

    sick peopel too.

  • Quickest way to become a millionaire in the horse racing business...start as a billionaire.

  • Track surfaces should be studied and changed in some way to prevent these type of injuries from happening.

  • I wish PETA people would get a life and stop trying to turn high profile animal deaths into a fucking murder investigation. Where is Heratio Cane when you need him? I get it, it's sad that the horse died....but, IT'S A HORSE! Besides, they probably did the horse a favor by putting it down. Do you animal rights kooks remember the video of Barbaro and all the pain it looked like that horse was in during "rehab"? I say put the horse out of its misery, don't let it suffer. Peace

  • you must concerned about the horse also...you watched video...as for the people in darfur..i have my own problems...dont have to worry about other peoples problems....but i love horse racing....very sad derby day eight belles ran her heart out!! and in no way deserved what happend

  • like the peace corp or the red cross would go near darfur. you two should go and see how long you'd last. you could bring eight belles with you, feed a village

  • Well, that's be stupid because eight belles was euthanized, so that whole village would die. And although I feel bad about it, I'm not grief stricken with the death of the horse, I was just trying to figure out what had happened. And about Darfur, I'm not entirely sure what needs to be done there. The UN needs to kick it up about 10 notches and crack down on some shit. But this video isn't about Darfur, or the UN so I will quit hijacking it.

  • If you're so fucking concerned about all the people dying in Darfur, then why don't you get your ass up and volunteer with the Red Cross or the Peace Corps. If you want peace, work for justice. Don't bitch about it.

  • Looks like stupid logic

  • I googled "horse" and "glue factory". The 2nd item, line 3 states that you are an idiot.
